Me too. I just use the Satsuma for my living and to help my grandmother and the villagers without any tuning. It would be a nightmare if that little car got wrecked! According to the editor, some of the replaceable parts were damaged, but if I drive carefully, I can delay the replacement period and save my money. :)

Here in the UK you can check when a car was last taxed. From my research, most cars registered in the 70s died in the early 90s or late 80s as they were untaxed (scrapped). A bit like 2000s cars today.
I did some research on this topic while trying to find my fathers e32 bmw usually a car lasts 20 years if kept in order most 90s cars were destroyed during 2005-2010 but if a car is not kept in a garage and not maintained it will die in 5 years

I think that every teens old rusty first car can have a monumental story to it. The person who bought it as their reliable family car The second owner who needed a cheap car, with still plenty of life in it The third who needed something as their main mode of transportation and nothing else, and kind of neglected it The forth who was the teen who used it to learn how to work on cars, and thought it was the fastest thing on four wheels And finaly the scrapper, who inevitably is going to come into the end of the story. Hang on... that was my car...
My dad had a lada 1200 and he kind of treated that as the fastest thing the on 4 wheels the only thing is he actually knew how to man that car without blowing it to pieces but the inevitable would come (after 3 years or owning it and compleating multiple races)and the white racing stripped legends engine was blown

Great movie, I have no idea how someone can manage to make this but really well done. I really enjoyed it. So many cool cars in this movie as well. I really miss that you don’t see cars like this anymore (not just satsuma but all the cars from 70’s-90’s) met a guy who’s really into modifying his 2008 Scirocco and I’m just not a fan of it but when I saw this video and all these cars and the teen modifying the satsuma it made me happy. Only thing I would like to point out is that sometimes I feel that there isn’t enough time to read the subtitles or notes and I needed to rewind and pause. But I suppose it would be weird to keep it on for longer if the characters stopped talking and there’s just silence.
Thanks for your feedback! Yeah, I wish I was alive during the 80s and 90s. A lot of cool cars back then with a lot of character. Back in the early 90s, you could pick up an old mk1 or mk2 Escort for only a couple of hundred pounds! Now they're worth at least 10k.

I thought that the ending would make it look like he would decide to throw away all the parts from the Satsuma and leave the body in front of the house, as was the case in the plot. Still, it's a beautifully made video, but the ending is sad.

I understand what he went through, but completely cancelling it because of a 6 year old? He should also think about how many people were hyped and waiting for it, while also supporting him.

it reminds me abaut our old family car it was a volvo 360 GLE the car left the factory in 1987 and a company bouth it, a few years later the car got sold to an employe, and after he sold it to us we use it untill 2012 than my dad scrap the car because it had a lot of electrical and rust issues.
It’s even sadder to think this has happened to so many cars.
But then you realize, cars dont have emotions...unless we are speaking about pixar cars
