If you want to do so, do a course, starting with something easy like html and javascript; learning basic terms, math and geometry. Then move onto object oriented programming until you're confident with the language you've chosen to learn. Then with that knowledge begin making your own system tools from scratch and learn other languages or coding techniques/designs. From there, if you're still eager to learn and haven't lost your mind, you can then begin your journey into AI programming. Be warned though it's not for everyone and there's plenty of other more appealing avenues to choose from.

Jack Lam That would result in another set of variables it needs to get right... it already wont use the second joint efficiently, a third would only make it harder for the AI without ever reaching a point where it gets used as you hoped regarding variables for the most part less is more... I thought about rewarding it for keeping the upper body as straight as possible instead of punishing it for hitting the floor. That should massively improve ballance
feet can’t bend back more than a certain angle (try it) so a joint with a limited range of angular mobility would be functionally identical to feet ... but that’s just my (noob) two cents

@OwnedByMilo1 Because the ground is usually the first thing you create so you can test the level as you make it. You don't really have an idea how big the level is gonna end up, so you make a fairly large ground and increase it later if need be. Yeah you could make the ground big enough to never have to rezise, but if you want to have a section where you go underground then you'll have to go back and figure out how big the ground is in the first place to scale it down, because moving a shape that big would take forever. I also think HW has a size limit for shapes, but I haven't played that game in a long time so I actually don't know.

I thought about rewarding it for keeping the upper body as straight as possible instead of punishing it for hitting the floor. That should massively improve ballance
feet can’t bend back more than a certain angle (try it) so a joint with a limited range of angular mobility would be functionally identical to feet ... but that’s just my (noob) two cents

@OwnedByMilo1 Because the ground is usually the first thing you create so you can test the level as you make it. You don't really have an idea how big the level is gonna end up, so you make a fairly large ground and increase it later if need be.
Yeah you could make the ground big enough to never have to rezise, but if you want to have a section where you go underground then you'll have to go back and figure out how big the ground is in the first place to scale it down, because moving a shape that big would take forever. I also think HW has a size limit for shapes, but I haven't played that game in a long time so I actually don't know.
