I had to come back to say that the recipe was fire! We loved it. Anyone can cook to their desired internal temperature but I liked mine cooked through. Thank you!
I’m sorry I beg to differ you take a lot of the flavor out the tuna when you Fully cooked all you need to do is a minute to two minutes per side will you have a real slight pink interior and when you season tuna or any other fish you should always put the olive oil or whatever you gotta put on the marinate first it acts as a binder
Best Tuna Steaks that I've ever prepared. I also added a little butter to melt toward the end with quartered mushrooms and a few grape tomatoes which added to the color and dish well.
Oh my goodness girl, this looks incredible. Wow. My son marinades them in soy, olive oil and herbs, not sure of which ones. He grills them with healthy charcoal and makes the best "fish tacos" on the planet. He makes the yummiest sauce and serves with shredded cabbage. I am going to try it your way and use any leftovers for tacos.:) Thank you. Hugs from AZ.
Thank you so much for this video!!! I stumbled accidentally upon this video and tried it out just because your video was the only one that had the tuna well-cooked. I tried it, and it turned out to be amazing! I especially loved the lemon and butter sauce, and my tuna didn't turn out to be dry at all. Will definitely recommend this to anyone trying to cook tuna for the first time. 10/10.
Yes my first time cooking tuna steaks and I was like ole yes 😋❤️ can’t wait to try this recipe when my tuna finishes thawing out I will be back. ❤️ * omg So good I didn’t have all purpose seasoning so I used old bay, used onion powder, garlic powder, rosemary and thyme, cayenne and instead of the olive oil on top I put the lemon juice on top seasoned the one side put a tbsp of butter and some olive oil in the pan seasoned the other side while the seasoned side was cooking I turned the heat down to like 4 so it wouldn’t dry out and I did cut up fresh garlic, green peppers and yellow onions chopped and I put more lemon in there and omg so good 😩 thank you thank you thank you for this delicious recipe.
For the first time ever, I have all the ingredients for a video recipe I love! I’m heading to the kitchen now‼️😂 Update: I DID cook this last night and it was wonderful! The flavor notes were on point. Excellent recipe. 👌🏽
Oh wow that is beautiful. I appreciate the fact that u cook it str8 through without it drying out. Going to try this today and I'll let you know the results. Thanks!
I just now finished cooking some blue fin tuna steaks. I followed your recipe to a T. WOW!!! So full of flavor, and moist. I’m so grateful for you sharing this video. 👍🏾👍🏾. Two thumbs up to you.❤
Imma tell you what, this is the lengest tuna ive ever had in my life. I didnt bother with seasonings cause i wanted to taste the tuna and it was sooooooo goood
I love how pissed some pathetic people get when you fully cook a tuna steak. Eating it raw in the center might be a recommendation from some people, but I prefer my food fully cooked. Why does it bother you so much how I eat the food I paid for with my own money and prepared for myself
It's great that you like it overcooked, but the reason people complain is because it's OVERCOOKED. If you wanna pay for something that you suck all taste out of that's on you. 😂
I love this recipe. The fish is actually cooked and the flavour is very nice. I did not cook my Tuna as much as she did here and I thought, "Job well done". Glad I found this and tried it. I would say I did cook it med-rare. not raw or well done
Very good! I c that u like ur tuna well cooked (well done), same as me. I can’t eat undercooked anything. As a “home chef” I’m going to make little changes to ur recipe but it will come out as delicious by basing it on ur recipe and way of cooking it. Looks delicious!
This looks FANTASTIC 👏 😍 We just bought tuna steaks at the market and I was fishing around for a recipe and seen you use the fresh garlic, parsley and lemon and I knew this would be great...
I made this tonight and it was excellent! I always used coarse salt and fresh pepper to season my tuna steaks because I didn't want to detract from the taste of the tuna, but this was so much better. Thanks for posting!
i wish i didnt watch this recipe in the morning cos now i have to wait all day to cook it for dinner lol! cant wait to make this!!! thank you for the fab vids
Looks so good! I love that you cooked it all the way through. I’ve never had tuna steaks before and I’m a little concerned about preparing it with the raw center.
Don't be. Unless you're buying it right from the ocean, all fish is flash frozen to kill any bacteria. Sashimi grade ahi tuna is best served rare. She turned this into a hockey puck.
The tuna steaks end up dry because you are fully cooking them. You’re only supposed to sear the outside and leave the center raw. 2 minutes on each side and it will not dry out.
@@brads2784 fully cooked tuna has 0 flavor. SEARED tuna is the correct way to cook tuna. Go to a 5 star restaurant and ask for a seared tuna and watch how it comes out. Middle will be raw
@@LetsRunIt I prefer my meat cooked... and thats capable of generating flavour.. what you call flavour is uncooked fluids and blood in the the tissues of the damn fish same with blue or rare steaks ffs
@@brads2784 I mean first off you started by assuming race and then making a racist comment. But since you are so focused on the color of skin I would be willing to place a pretty hefty bet that if you ask 100 black chefs all of them will say the outside should be seared and the center raw.
@@BrodyYYC Pointing out the fascination to eat almost raw food by white people is racist now..? Get a life my man. Also i never said black people dont either.. there might be some of them who prefer blue steaks or raw tuna.. but as a brown person we prefer to 'cook' our meats well done.
Hello, I just found your Tuna recipe and I think it was really good. We eat a lot of Tuna and yours I am going to use more often. Thank you so much for sharing. And best regards from Germany. 😊😊😊
Im following a new meal plan and I wanted to try tuna steak instead of canned tuna. I seasoned mine with blk pepper, garlic powder and Montreal chicken seasoning........ mannnnnn tuna where?! It didn't taste fishy at all. Thank you so much for posting this video
My neighbor just gave me some blue fin tuna he caught. It is frozen though, can I still do this recipe or does it have to be fresh?? Food looks very delicious btw
I know Olive oil is tasty, but you should use Coconut oil when cooking and save the olive oil for cold uses. Or just skip the olive oil and use more butter. Just a suggestion.
Trying tuna steak for the first time and this is the recipe I'm going with. Really like the seasoning combo. My preference when seasoning: rub the steak with olive oil first. That helps the seasoning stick all over when applied second.
This was good… yes it can be a lil drying. I did about 4 min each side and added a lil beef stock bc I didn’t use as much oil and butter. Next time I’ll try 3 min
This is the most delicious way to prepare your tuna steaks!! Follow her instructions exactly as she indicates and you will really enjoy the outcome and so will your family, mine did!!
I never knew how many tuna snobs there were out there. Everyone has their preferences. Personally if it's cold I want it raw. Cooked I want it done all the way. No right or wrong way...in fact I'm going to pull out some tuna steaks to try this for myself 😊
I made this tonight and it was delicious 🤤 i highly recommend you try this easy simple meal. I’m not much of a cook but I felt like a chef tonight 😄

Great video! I like how you cooked the tuna 'longer' than some suggest. I don't like sushi-lite cooked fish. This was perfect. Thanks
Agree... I also like the fully cooked tuna that flakes off... if I wanted raw fish I'd just get sushi...
Agreed 👍
It’s so hard to find anyone talking about how to cook non-sushi grade-!!!
