    I recently bought B. prismatocarpa from Creation Cultivated and S. muscicola from GlassBox Tropicals. I didn't realize how tiny the muscicola would be! No flowers yet, but both are starting to grow pretty well in sphagnum moss in a vivarium.
    I'll definitely be on the lookout for the other species. Marcgravia has definitely been on my list to get.

    I recently got a Alosica Silver Dragon. It's a really awesome plant! I think that a plant doesn't need to be paturicuary rare to be awesome.

    What fun plants! I bet a lot of these would do well with my mourning geckos. They are small enough that little plants don't get squished.

    I love the Tropical Pinguicula! Which of the other flowering plants you mentioned would go well with this one in a large terrarium (about 18"wide x 24" tall)? and what would you recommend for ground covering moss/ fill in plant life to compliment this? Also, as the Ping is carnivorous, what would be an adequate food source be to keep it happy?

    • @AnotherWorldTerraria
      @AnotherWorldTerraria  Год назад

      I would use other plants which can take the same conditions, so: bright light, and being moist but not wet, with occasional dry periods. I can't think of anything off the top of my head since I don't grow other plants in the same conditions which would work. For ground cover the best would be moss and liverworts. You can feed tropical pings with 1/4 strength Urea-free orchid fertilizer, or carnivorous plant fertilizer, or insects. Thanks for watching my video!

    Beautiful, very informative I’m looking to start a terrarium soon. Can terrariums be put outside?

    • @AnotherWorldTerraria
      @AnotherWorldTerraria  Год назад

      Thanks. Theoretically you could put a terrarium outside but there would be concerns such as temperature and light (too much or too little) and pests

    Great information, where to buy these plants?

    • @AnotherWorldTerraria
      @AnotherWorldTerraria  Год назад

      At this time, I usually don't recommend specific sources for plants, because there are many sources and many types of plants, so each case varies, and also because many of my sources are private. Generally, most of my sources are hobbyists, and small or private vendors. It also depends where you live. Please check out www.anotherworldterraria.com/faq/#plant-sourcing which is a general summary of the types of sources I use. There are not any specific vendors listed there; it is simply helpful information to get you on the right track. One key to finding rare plants is to build a network. The previous link has tips on how to do that. Following the suggestions might help you eventually uncover some sources that work for you. I hope that helps!

    Are these common plants where you live? I live in Canada and I haven't heard of or seen any of these plants

    • @AnotherWorldTerraria
      @AnotherWorldTerraria  2 года назад

      In the USA, within the vivarium plant hobby, most of these are considered relatively common. Not super common but most can be obtained without a ton of hardship. I have heard that a lot of plants are hard to come by in Canada (I have a few friends there). I hope you have some luck finding things you want. Thanks for watching the video!

    I need to know what flowers I could grow in a coffee table terrarium pleaseee someone help

    • @AnotherWorldTerraria

      It depends on a lot of factors such as what kind of light and how much light you can provide, how big of a space is it, is it totally enclosed or not (what's the humidity level), etc. I would suggest you join my "Rare Miniature Terrarium Plants" group on Facebook and post pics and details of your table setup. We can help you there if we have more info. If you do decide to join, please read the rules and be sure to answer the membership questions.
