- Located at the intersection of Middleton and Railroad Avenues, the sweeping beach at Junction Park is the perfect place for families to bring a picnic and to park your shoes before easing into the surprisingly chilly water. Sunny with plenty of shady trees, this is where Bear Creek and Boulder Creek converge into the San Lorenzo River. A true natural swimmin’ hole by anyone’s estimation, how deep the water is depends on how wet the winter was. The water is higher than usual this year. Junction Park has picnic benches and a grassy area, BBQ pits, and a pavilion where concerts and festivals are often held. There’s also a porta potty. Junction Park falls within the Boulder Creek Recreation and Parks District jurisdiction. For more information: bcrpd.org
Along the San Lorenzo River the locations of lesser known swimming holes are shared only by word of mouth. Some secrets the mountains keep to themselves.

i grew up in boulder creek in the 60s and 70s was the most awesome to live hope to see it again i am now 62 yrs old
I lived in Boulder Creek for 25 years and I miss it so much. I spent many days just kicking back at the Junction with my horse and my friends. This brought back so many wonderful memories, Thank you for the video
I literally float down the river from my private beach to here...
Rocks in the water at the confluence of Boulder Creek coming into the San Lorenzo are extremely mossy and slippery. I thought I would walk a bit in that area. I fell in twice back in August during the music festival. No one noticed.
Should put a gold pan in there😅
