The small key looked like like my locker key from high school.
That same key fit the trunk on most cars.
Yes and those kind of keys were fazed out in the 80's weren't they? I remember my 1980 Olds had one like that but I don't remember my 89 Buick having one.

The best part is how little trash you found. I love that. People must truly treasure that area, and I can see why, it’s beautiful!

I’m a drinker but I always take my trash home and I pick up other peoples trash as well.
New England is pretty clean in general.
@@slickmuck4312 very true, if properly disposed of it wouldn't ruin places. But some folks think they need to drink literally everywhere. And people that are inebriated don't care about littering because they're impaired. Take a walk down any city or rural street and count the discarded alcohol containers and beer bottle caps.
That dime stuck in the rock just waiting for you to find it. I felt that!

A Barber? What a find! Can you imagine someone from that era peeling out of their period garb and cooling off just as those would do a hundred years later? Simply fascinating to ponder. Oldest coin I’ve found thus far is a ‘67 Washington quarter. Love the pure pleasure rendered from your finds.
The second key you found was a samsonite luggage key. I’m a former airline employee, I recognize the shape. Good job!

@@jamiewatkins4178 Most are worth $1.27 at today's silver prices. As collectibles, after being in the water for years, their value is $1.50-$3.00. The Barber maybe $8-$10.

You choose a spectacular Vermont "Swimmin' Hole," reminiscent of some that I frequented while living in NW Vermont .. Amazing that you found no trash what so ever .. That in itself, is testament to Vermont's appreciation of natural attractions and those "secret" Swimmin' Holes ..
And the lack of flatlanders like the one moron who blatantly threw his Mcdonalds trash out of the car window in front of my house in Burlington yesterday!!

1st time viewer, 1st time commenter... I have yet to see any other videos you've done, but this hit the marks, all of them. Right away you respected my time, no mindless ramblings, no overburdened or dwelling in dialogs or videography. You kept it moving and informative without it sounding like a PSA and you have great energy and in a nutshell you rock it!!

I hunt swimming holes as well. Here's a clue, look for areas close to but away from the hole that people changed clothes or went to the bathroom. A lot of stuff gets dropped there.
That ole swimming hole is a real treasure. The water is so clear and it looks like the bottom is sandy. Gorgeous and no trash. Those special places are hard to find. Betty from Canada 😊
I wish had messaged you earlier about swimming holes in your area! My best hunt ever produced 12 silver coins(2 silver halves), 2 indians, 30 wheaties, and multiple rings(2 precious) ...all from an old(obviously virgin)swimming hole. I still return to the spot and find stuff that I'd missed.

this is the first of your video's I have seen. thanks so much for taking me to the swimming hole with you. at my age, 72, this is pretty much the only way I can go to places like this. I remember going places like that in Michigan u.p. with my dad in the 50's and 60's. thanks again.

You were a seated coin away from a grand slam!! That place somewhere along that creek has to be some gold/silver jewelry and more silver coins. Without all the trash all you have to do is find the spot below the swimming hole where that water pooled up in floods. Maybe even up along the banks at a bend where the water washed when flooding? Great spot for sure. I could spend days hunting up there following that creek! Great video!
Can't believe you found that many coins in such a small stream. Nice silver & congrats on the Barber UNREAL. All of your locations are beautiful in your state. Props to the visitors that never left their trash, very uncommon.

Brad, the short key you found looks like the key to an older Samsonite suitcase. I had a set of that luggage 50+ years ago.

Great digging, cool finds. I recognized the GM rounded key right away - door/trunk key. The smaller key looks like a suitcase key. Your real zinger find is the 1892 dime.
I envy you Brad for the reason where you hunt. I live in South Texas and around here big private ranches and cactus, mesquite and snakes. As we say down here, if it doesn't prick you it will bite you or stick you!! I'm sitting here watching you pull out barber and Merc dimes and my wife is telling me to close my mouth!!! Gotta luv it. Congrats on the Trifecta, Brad. Those little creeks and streams can be quite surprising. When you find a pile of coins in one spot, that's a sink. You should check them over the years because they are the spots where coins will continually show up. Great video and Happy Hunting.

My 1st find like 30 yrs ago was a burried fence ! Who burrys a fence?😂😁😀 My best find I think was finding a ladie's grandmother's ring ! I searched a long time in the park for it while the grand-daughter was there & came back really early the next day. When that nice lady got her grandmother's ring back (her grand mom had just died) that was THE best !!! day ever !!! She wanted to pay me but seeing her tears of joy made the hrs of searching all worth it & I'd never charge money to find stuff like that.
Like you, I do it for the fun of 'trying' (luck) at finding 'something'. Many times ya find nothing or find 'junk', but ya never know what you might find & that's the fun of it.

Brad, this is a gorgeous place. In this heat I wouldn’t be in a hurry to leave it! The stream must do a good job of cleaning the light, modern junk out when there is a storm and a gush scouring.

What an absolutely stunning pool. I loved today’s video as it is just such beautiful scenery. Those 3 silver coins are lovely & wow for the 1800’s one. How wonderful to find no rubbish, what a rarity that is these days!

I could get lost in that swimming hole. Its beautiful. Knowing you have not found any trash and very little inside the swimming hole, makes me wonder if someone has not detected that area already.

I like it when you get out of the normal like this and the old house for the museum. The old mountain places are really cool don't get me wrong! But stir it up and do some different like this is a breath of fresh air now and again for the channel. Up there in Vermont you should get permission for some old churches they are Hot Spots! people carried money for the plate and for cake walks and after church events. Wasnt much to do back then so everyone showed up! I have loaded up at 100-150yo church lawns!
