Fun fact: the actress who plays the attorney general in this scene also plays a state prosecutor in the show Trail & Error, where she is basically the same person and is focused on becoming the attorney general.
She was also in the movie Redeye with Rachel McAdams.
that s not fun at all
I did not have any fun or enjoyment reading that fact. It’s just a fact, that’s only fun to you.
That's interesting. Maybe this is the reason why she played this scene memorably.
She's hot.
This reminded me of that scene from Lord of War when Nicolas Cage got busted and got set free since he knew someone higher up in the govt.
Ironically, Nic Cage character is based in the real-life arms dealer Viktor Bout. Bout was accused of intending to smuggle arms to the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC). This Guerrilla financed its activity with drugs....
I actually got here from recommendations after that video.
Yea that was based on Iran-Contra affair. That Colonel Southern that Cage meets at the end is based on Oliver North who got into some heat when it was exposed that CIA was supplying guerillas in Cuba to fight communist Cuba and Castro. Same thing they was doing in Colombia during the Cold War.

Arkansas is so crooked
@@samanthab1923 America is so crooked.
@@samanthab1923 Arkansas now is on the straight and narrow. Read up about the 40 years of rampant corruption and organized crime there centered in Hot Springs, where little Billy Blythe (later Bill Clinton) grew up.
I enjoyed "American Made" but Note the "ATF" and/or "FBI" emblazoned on some of the Jackets here -> 1:01 Seal WOULD NOT have walked without "friends" at the Federal Government level, they would next take him to a Federal Prosecutor after a State released him, no re-arrest necessary (but the Reagan White House had to switch from Drugs/Contra to Iran/Contra after this and Reporter Gary Webb's work all became too public).
Movies have to simplify the storytelling or they'd run too long, it's why I prefer documentaries; _"See this guy? That's Barry Seal."_ then they can narrate as the footage jumps from evidence to evidence. It's much quicker than a story that includes Barry's Wife and Kids, etc.

I lived in Arkansas back then. Everyone knew there was something reeeeeeal shady going on upstate. Everyone and I mean EVERYONE assumed the Clinton's were involved in it, therefore, covering it up. It is fascinating to learn all these years later it was actually much higher than them and they were actually helping.
