    Hello Les, Woo hoo, I just got your , sky, land and sea, artist blend Today! I followed the Q code to the pan pastel web page, then I did a search for you in RUclips. I’m so glad you have a site, thank you. I have never tried these before. I started my art learning with colouring books and will be using your set in the books I have with thick paper. I may try following along with your tutorials here on you tub. Since I have most if not all your Colour’s, I’ll have to compare with each video to ensure I have the colours. I only have the 20 in your set. I’m so excited to try to color freehand like you are demonstrating. Woo hoo! ❤️💐🙏

    I tried for the first time the pan pastel today on Pastelmat. I love the way the color is absorbed by the paper and the transparency that this technique provides. Will have to try to use Pan Pastels more, now that I have ordered a 20 piece landscape set and 5 piece darks.

    I paint but I’m no artist. What I have found with pastels, even the ordinary ones is the excitement of being so close to the paper instead of at the end of a long brush. I now have some pans, they feel like silk.

    Hi Les. I have only just discovered you and am loving your work. I have only ever used pan pastels for backgrounds to my detailed pet portraits. Do you get through lots of sponges, because I seem to rub away the tips of them even on pastelmat. Do I detect a Blackburn accent in there? Thanks for the demo...I look forward to discovering more of your stuff. xx

Also PanPastel are releasing sets with my colours any day now. And there will be a list of retailers on their website that stock them. Hi. Can you possibly let me know what brand of wet and dry to buy as I cannot afford the pastelmat paper please? Also, what do you mean when you say the pastel has had little or no impact on the tooth? Many thanks x

    • @lesdarlow
      @lesdarlow  4 месяца назад

      no idea with wet and dry... Tooth only holds so much pastel. But with pans its different as it hardly affects the tooth

    Have you ever used Uart paper with PanPastels? It is easier to get in the US than PastelMat paper. Uart is a more sandpaper texture.
