As if it were my only purpose in this life... to run, to move faster than any human could imagine years ago, just you and the car, fighting together with the need to surpass yourself, to do something meaningful, to repeat that lap. a thousand times, to feel yourself floating on the track... I don't even have words to describe the feeling... but it's something superhuman. Something that we were not supposed to feel as a human race and yet, we embrace it and maintain it as if our lives depended on it. Wordless. Simply an enormous feeling that fills my soul and makes me want to live another day. This is, truly, my one and only purpose. The reason why I keep working, waking up everyday, and dreaming. I dream of being a racing driver. I will be a racing driver.

This was Racing Point's last race as a constructor, after all the ups and downs the team had as Force India and RP, never having won a race as a constructor. Checo, the team built around him, having sacrificed his own money to keep the team together as Force India fell apart, having fought as a Mexican driver to move to Europe with little support, with no contract for the next year, and strongly looking to have no further seat at any team, after years of being a solid midfield driver and having an excellent 2020 season so far. His final race, in the team's final race, in the final race of the season. A crash at that start put him in plumb last. And he fought his way up the grid and he won. He fucking won. That's what it's fuckin all about. I saw it live and it was simply amazing.
@@WezMan444 It really does. Watching the Mercs have such a dominant season, watching them fuck up a pit, and Russell get that puncture as he was bearing down on Checo with a handful of laps. I was out of my seat. The motorsport gods were looking down that day 🏁. M83 works so well.
This is an ode to everything we as motorsports fans love, the speed, the adrenaline and the blood, everything that makes motorsport truly remarkable, the last lap battles, hard-fought home victories, the bitter rivalries and the glory of the checkered flag and that top step, that is what it's all about.
