I definitely preferred the first game more. I feel that this game actually looks closer to the first with the mystery aspect. Apparently the whole game comes out on that September date (not just the first episode).

I think I feel like most people - loved LIS1 and BTS was a nice add-on, then LIS2 didn't quite hit the mark as far as emotional investment in the characters, but it was still a pretty decent story. This looks like it's trying to get back to the feel of the first game and I'm excited.
Well, I'm getting more Twin Mirror or Tell Me Why vibes to be honest. Almost like a mix of them both ;) And I liked LiS 2. Not as much as the first season, but I never get the hate.
I'm excited though for this game. Looks promising, and I love that they're bringing Steph back. She was such a cool and kind character in BTS.

Me too! It was so special. I only played it once in 2015 and I can't wait to replay it in better graphics this time!! So happy they're making a remaster, but they should also make a sequel of LiS1 and a continuation of Max and Chloe's story...
@@johnderat2652 I actually never played it before I just watched playthroughs in 2015 from Coryxkenshin and Jacksepticeye and multiple others. I still to this day rewatch them every like 3 months because they give me a sense of peace.

life is strange back at it again with the BREATHTAKING VISUALS
originally i was really bummed to see that it wasn't coming out until sept 10th HOWEVER they did say that they are doing away with episodic releases and releasing the game as a whole, which is way better than their old system.
Worth pointing out, this game was developed by Deck Nine instead of Dontnod, Deck Nine being the devs of LiS:Before the Storm while Dontnod did LiS 1 & 2 (and Captain Spirit).
Also, the character Stephanie Gingrich "Steph" is returning from BtS to this game, played by the same actor.
I just realised that Max, Daniel and Alex all use their hands to manifest their power.
Daniel could even do magic without them, hands are for concentration

I just looked at my Max Life is Strange CANVAS on my wall , took a deep breath and preordered. If youve ever seen a film called THE NINES , Matt & Lissy , this seems pretty similar - just more colorful lol

Can't have a LiS game without someone dying in the first episode lol in all honesty this looks the most ambitious one in the series yet..can't wait.
Heck I’m sold on this, been a while since LIS2 and so far I’ve just been invested in the graphic novels which actually continue Max’s story (not official canon but just continuing one of the choices) which has been amazing!

It sucks Dontnod won't be able to make any more Life is Strange games, they're the ones who created Life is Strange 1 and the franchise, they should own the IP, not Square Enix...

LIS2 was not bad, but I liked LIS1 significantly more than any of the other games. It just has a really nice story and a vibe I enjoyed. I also weirdly think the animations are actually decreasing in quality throughout the games (besides maybe the hair, but this is me being nit-picky). The style of 1 looked better, even in comparison to After the Storm.
Chloe and Max were also great characters and a great duo to follow. I didn’t feel the same kind of spark in the other games, but LIS1 was a high bar to begin with.
@@truegamer7930 I agree with your first comment, but my opinion regarding that I found the first one more enjoyable still stands. The story itself just wasn’t personally as engaging and interesting to me. Sure, the first game had some slow parts, but even then I enjoyed the atmosphere and music.
Regarding the animation, the first game was more stiff and simple, but implementing more fluid animations (such as the hair) just looks weird to me in regards to art style of the game. The characters aren’t super realistic looking, so I thought that the first games animations fit the best. I don’t believe there’s an inherently “right” or “wrong” opinion; this is just my take.

And now for the biggest question everybody has on their minds, the one thing that everybody has to know, the one thing that every Life is Strange has...will Hawtdog Man make an appearance in this game?
One other thing I’ve noticed that’s in every Life is Strange game. I can’t remember if I seen it in the Farewell episode so that might be the one exception. I’ll have to go back and look someday. I’m not sure if this was intentional or just an easy recycled decoration piece, the coat rack. Seen in Principal Well’s office, Rachel Amber’s house, Chris’s house, Sean & Daniel’s house and I’m sure many more places in all four games. I wonder if that coat rack will return in this game. There’s lots of houses and buildings in that town so I’ll be looking for both Hawtdog Man and the every Life is Strange game coat rack.
As for the question of which Life is Strange I like best, I probably enjoy the first game the most. I like the other Life is Strange games but the first one just holds a special place in my heart.

And personally, I've only played Life is Strange 1, but I'm 100% sure that none of the other Life is Strange games will beat it. LiS 1 was just so good and special. I only played it once in 2015, and I suddenly thought about playing it for a second time like 2 weeks ago, then I see the announcement for the remastered version, my gosh I cannot wait!!!

I also had mixed feelings about Life is Strange 2, mainly because *(slight LIS 2 spoilers)* the playable protagonist is not the one who has the powers. It felt almost like you were a supporting character in your own story. Glad they're going back to the LIS 1 vibe.
Well, the developers (Dontnod) of Life is Strange 2 are the ones who made Life is Strange 1, and the developers (Deck Nine )making Life is Strange True Colors are the ones who made Life is Strange Before the Storm
I had seen this trailer from another channel, and I spent the whole time trying to spot the returning character. I hope they have Steph reference some bits from BTS and also, we better be able to do some kind of optional campaigning with her. (Although if Mikey isn't there, it probably won't happen.)

I just played the first life is strange (since there's a discount on the xbox store) and the ending made me cry. The whole story felt like a book I didnt want to put down. Once I finished I immediately bought Life is Strange before the storm and Life is Strange 2 I'm looking forward to these games now

I like the concept of different stories, same strangeness 😅. But i really wish that one day they would bring back max. I know that since the game had two endings it's hard to write something after that but i am sure there's a way. Or hell at least just a reference or easter egg to her. That's how much i loved LIS 1

I’m super excited for this installment in the Life is Strange Series. I was a bit disappointed with 2 cause I thought 1 was so great! This one looks very interesting though. I also read that it won’t be in episodes like the other games and it will be a one and done.

Personally i liked LIS2 the most and then LIS1 although i sometimes change my mind on which i like more, imo before the storm was terrible and unfortunately, this game is being made by the devs that made before the storm. The trailers look awesome though and steph was one of the highlights of before the storm so im excited but a little cautious

i actually love both life is strange games sean and daniel story always be in my heart, but max and Chloe story always be nostalgic everytime i play it. and even chris from the awsome adventure of captain spirit is so good and for before the storm is my least favorite but the farewell episode always makes me cry when i play that bonus episode.

Normally I would be extremely sceptic about a premise like this, there's an infinite amount of things that can go wrong, be handled wrong, pulled off badly - but Dontnod has earned some faith with me for how well the first Life is Strange worked for its time; there's a lot wrong with it, but it was obvious that they tried, and since then they've only ever improved on these things! Especially their trans character in Tell Me Why was, as I hear, one of the best ones in all video games (not hard, but, you know).
So I'm really looking forward to them doing this _well_ and not butchering it, and BOY do I hope that they actually pull it off!

Imho, Life is Strange 2 hit pretty close for me, so I tend to prefer it over Life is Strange 1. 🤔

i love the look of this, i can't wait...and yes i noticed that Steph was in it....mind blown!
but my one concern is this...the graphics seem OP for a LIS game...LIS was never about amazing graphics...it was about amazing story telling and creative concepts...thing that effect us emotionally; making choices, touching on both super natural and very REAL problems people face at the same time in a good balance. so far i have hardly any issues with LIS 1 or 2 (this includes Captain Spirit) but if the game becomes so hiosh resolution that you need a new gen console or amazing PC to play it...i think Dontnod has made the biggest mistake of all time...hands down...it would be like dropping the mona lisa in a pool of acid.
on another topic slightly...i think i know what their going for with the "lose control" concept i have read fiction involving aura powers or seeing emotions before...that sh$£ can get out of control or seriously overwhelming. i didn't think it could get worse than screwing with time...but i think this...is worse.

And omg I really hope they make a sequel to LiS 1 with Max and Chloe, and they could call it "Life is Strange: After the Storm"! It'd be so good... However the original developers who made the game (Dontnod) said that their story is over, but apparently Dontnod left Square Enix, so they won't be making other Life is Strange games cuz the franchise belongs to Square Enix. But I really hope Deck Nine (the devs who made Before the Storm and this game right here, LiS True Colors) make an After the Storm game with Max and Chloe, basically a sequel to LiS 1 to show what happens next. But a man can only hope I guess...
This is my first time seeing this trailer, I too liked the 1st one, didn't get interested in the 2nd because it wasn't like the first one because of the powers thing. I'm happy about this game bringing back the powers
I liked the story and atmosphere of LiS1 but I wasn't fond of Chloe (she's a good character though!) or Rachel. LiS1 though did portray their friendship well enough that I was able to feel how much Max cared, making me want to help Chloe for Max's sake even though I didn't care for Chloe as much as Max did. In LiS2, I loved the two brothers (and I love Chris especially), but the plot and atmosphere were lacking and a bit scattered. I'm excited to see this one!
I played the game back in 2015, and I really can't remember much of anything about Chloe, just a bit of Max and the story a little, but I can't wait to replay the game for a second time, and this time in better graphics!!!

I like Life is Strange much better than Life is Strange 2. To anyone who loves Life is Strange 2, more power to you. I'm not trying to take that away from you when I say that for me, it was a game that dragged horribly for two episodes and never became exceptional even when it improved later on.
That said, I think that Life is Strange, Life is Strange: Before the Storm, and Tell Me Why (different universe but same style) are all solid games; so I'm looking forward to Life is Strange: True Colors.
The first game was way better. Nobody even bothered streaming or talking about 2 when it came out and the hype was further ruined by Dontnod taking unacceptably long time periods to release each episode.

I don't know if there are any RWBY fans in this comments section, but the main girl literally has Lie Ren's ability to see people's emotions, the visuals are different but it's essentially the same power.

Looks about as awkward and stilted as the other games, and the character models are still in the uncanny valley, but still has that unique, quirky Life is Strange feeling to it. I was sort of let down by Life is Strange 2, but this I think I'm going to like :3. Looking forward to it! The village and nature look fantastic, too!
