OMG, my 90's! The original arcade game was my jam. Back when my nearby mall was alive and thriving they had an arcade center called Space Port and the 2 arcades that were right smack in the middle, side by side, as soon as you walked in were X-Men and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and I ALWAYS went straight to the Turtles game.

Dot Emu are great. They made Streets of rage 4, wonderboy the dragons trap and other great remakes. For me, an insta-buy! Also, they use to make things hand-drawn. Check their other games.

TMNT 2 on NES was great! The sequel to that, TMNT 3: the Manhattan Project, was also an excellent game. Lots of great memories playing the actual arcade games too. One was at the local pizza shop, and the other was at this huuuuge arcade we had called sportsland. I miss the arcade days.
The reboot your talking about is Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Raph was the leader, but slowly through the series Leo becomes leader. The show is actually really well done and it’s still very much classic turtles with a new spin. If anything it actually is most similar to the og 1987 series as opposed to anything else TMNT related. I actually kind of hope there is a mode to make everything look like it does in rise or maybe a PC mod for that.
Thank you. I try to tell people this all the time but they refuse to listen. The plot and series tone is closer to 87 turtles than any other incarnation to date with just a few differences here and there. Was a really solid show and could have lasted a lot longer if people would just have given it a chance instead of being blinded by nostalgia goggles

1st of all: I love ur hair! next: As an 80's kid (1981) I grew up with the TMNT and Ghostbusters,so the cartoons and toys from that era,aswell as the games on NES and SNES bring back so much nostalgia and good memories,and it hurts my soul that I sold all those things growing up,but oh boy,this brings a spark of joy into my heart!

As of the season 2 finale, Leo is the leader again in the latest TMNT reboot “Rise of the TMNT”.
On a related note 📝, this game looks like a fun throwback to the old arcade TMNT games.
OMGGG! My brothers and I had this TMNT Gameboy game we'd always take turns playing!!! It was exactly like this in the style of a side scroller beat em up! AGH! The memories!

We had an arcade in our mall, it was so cool. I had a hard time visualizing the old game as you guys were describing it but as soon as I saw the gameplay...OMG In so excited!
I had a blast with Turtles II in the arcade back in the day, and Turtles in Time on the SNES was awesome.
That trailer was some nice nostalgia. I was such a fan of the original Turtles cartoon when I was in elementary school. I recognized every one of the characters in that trailer -- even Baxter Stockman.
The game itself is exactly what it should be. It doesn't look all smooth and perfect like I might have expected. This is going to be a day one purchase for me.
I don't recall if I ever saw an arcade of the game anywhere, though I probably did in passing. I had the original TMNT on NES, the difficult one, and it was one of the first games I ever played. We rented TMNT: The Arcade Game. I also got to play Manhattan Project and a LOT of Turtles In Time at my cousin's house.
This is my childhood. I played both the TMNT Arcade Game and Turtles in Time in the arcade. You can tell the creators have a love for this; notice all four turtles have different run animations. Now I only hope they got some decent voice actors. :)

I played the hell out of the first TMNT Arcade and it is without a doubt one of my fav arcade games of all time. I think I only played Turtles in Time once in an arcade but played the hell out of it on SNES.
This game seems like it would be perfect for the Switch but I'd also like to play with people soooo Steam it is. lol

Played both the original Tmnt beat em that was then ported on NES, and Turtles in Time religiously at my local arcade as a kid called Aladdin's Castle, along with the Xmen, and Simpsons beat em up. I'm super pumped for this!
You should find two friends to help play it in person!

I hadn't watched the trailer because I figured it was another poorly made TMNT game, but seeing this.... wow. Nostalgia overload. Looks amazing. Glad they went back to the roots of the old games.
I've been hearing rumors that this game is coming out sometime in 2021 and I would expect all current generation consoles to be supported as well as PC. Who knows, we might hear more at the E3 convention going virtual this June. I own a bar top arcade cabinet that plays 960 games on it and the original TMNT arcade game and Turtles In Time are on there and my arcade cabinet has the original TMNT Arcade artwork on the wood frames.

THIS LOOKS FREAKIN AWESOME!!!! I remember playing this when i was a kid in the arcade and at my local pizza joint, when I could that is. there was always a bunch of kids waiting for it as well. (also lissy your gorgeous as always:):)
I remember playing the TMNT arcade version, along with X-Men and The Simpsons arcade games. I still have my Turtles in Time for the SNES. The fact that this game being published by Dotemu (the same developers who made Streets of Rage 4) makes me want to get it as soon as it comes out.
I played both classic arcade games which are just amazing. I actually was taken to a place called Barcade for my bachelor party and I played them both for the first time in years and it was a dream! I wish they would remaster TMNT 3 The Manhattan Project in this new game's style. I am dying to play this new game! If they remake The Simpsons and X-Men 6 player button masher...I will officially know what heaven is like.

All the arcades and nes, sega games from the 80s and 90s. Batman, 3 Stooges, universal monsters, Beetlejuice, Kiss, Teenage Mutant ninja turtles, mortal kombat Ghostbusters was my obesstions for games, films, tv as a kid, teens I got into slashers, spawn and whatnot. Then I got into haunted houses for 21 years since I was 16. Any larger than life.. and my food obesstion Pizza. Cowabunga!!!!!!

Looks epic as a kid who grew up in the 80's and 90's this is great, only took them 30 years but between the Netflix oldschool Transformer series, MK movie and now this. 2021 is hitting my nostalgia hard in a good way. Hopefully this game will be coming out before this years over. They didn't give a date of next year or TBA which is a good thing, leaves me to believe later this year. I did find out it'll be out for all consoles.

I'm sorry, I have a complaint - I'm English and back in the late 80s when the turtles originally popped up over here, they were Teenage Mutant HERO Turtles - because Ninjas were too evil for kids or some rubbish, so I wanna know if they'll change the name in this country to fit with the original release ;) lol.
EDIT: Just looked and unsurprisingly the whole issue was the BBC's fault - ninja was "too violent for kids" at the time, but apparently it's fine now lol.

When I was a kid I used to hate going to the laundry Court with my mom we moved to another house and went to another laundry court and they had Street Fighter and the Ninja Turtles arcade game in the back ever since then I couldn't wait to go to wash clothes with my mom and when my big brother got his first car me and my cousins and little brothers and nephew would ride out to the laundry court and I don't know how much quarters you would spend
I love the turtles. This game doesn’t give me nostalgia or anything but it looks really good. Reminds me of Castle Crashers and I love that game so I can’t wait for this

10/10, I have not been as excited for TMNT or a 2d game in soo long. I just hope its like 10+ hours and not 4 ot 5 like SoR(was great but short) And my first one was for NES(those HORRIBLE water bombs lol) and of course arcades, but I've had little interest in the recent ones. Although I'd LOVE to see a GOOD third person action game where we could play with friends drop in/drop out like Crackdown.
