I just bought a regular Platinum PowerBoost with the 7.2 kw Power on Board the day before Thanksgiving Day. I traded in my 2016 Lariat FX4. I loved that truck and I love this one. I’m NOT happy with the deletes especially the massaging seats and heated steering wheel. That was a bad idea. However, I’m still happy. It’s nice to know I can power my home or camper if there is a zombie apocalypse.
If my 2023 F150 Plat came without the Third Light Camera, can I add an aftermarket one and there just be a Wire there waiting? and the 360 system pick up/notice the new camera natively?? Thanks in advance if you reply.
Still planning to get in touch with you. Haven't bought my F150 yet. Though since my messages below I have learned about the Diamondback HD smooth black bedcover with all the tiedowns attached, maybe a Front Runner 6" high cross bar set up too, and I would want that. The one thing I am trying to learn, maybe you know the answer to, can the cab of a 2023 or now even 2024 Platinum or maybe Raptor (likely platinum), can that cab roof support cross bars or say a roofrack like the Front Runner slimline2, but either with a popup tent on top like the Ikamper 3 mini or larger Roofnest Sparrow2, both while driving and parked with two adults sleeping? Do you know? I'd prefer to not put the popup tent over the diamondback cover above the bed if I didn't have to.
That's a beaut! I'm going round and round about getting the fully loaded Platinum with the black appearance package like this, the Tremor or the Raptor. I've planned on all black but have to admit this grey with the black appearance package is absolutely beautiful. Whichever I get, I will definitely want that fold out flat work surface option in the front center console, the lockage, collapsible storage under the rear seat, the black sprayed bedliner, and if the Platinum, the max luxury massaging seats, max recline if that is the max luxury. One thing I am wondering about, if it would be possible to do a small lift, say 2" or 2 1/2" inches and small offset, maybe get thicker rubber tires, 33's maybe, even 35's, with the Platinum, but without having to do any trimming? From the factory, at the Dealer, or after market somewhere else. And if I did do an offset, maybe get body colored or black fenders attached to align with the outside edge of the wider poking tires. This extra stuff referenced here in this second paragraph isn't necessary, for getting the truck in this video exactly as is would be very tempting, but these additional modifications would be nice, and I'd love to know what if any of it is possible, and roughly how much more it would cost?
Hey @Nate-zy5ce, we can absolutely do a 2" lift or leveling kit, custom rims and tires, and offset. Our dedicated accessories team can provide you with a range of options to achieve the look and performance you want. We have access to OEM and aftermarket lift kits that can give you a 2" to 2 1/2" lift, allowing for the fitment of larger tires, like 33's or 35's, without any trimming necessary. Our experts will ensure that the tires and wheels are appropriately aligned to prevent any issues with rubbing and to maintain the overall stability of the vehicle. If you decide to go for an offset and want body-colored or black fenders to match the wider tires, we can certainly arrange that as well. Our team will work closely with you to understand your preferences and provide options that align perfectly with your vision. As for the cost of these modifications, we'll be more than happy to provide you with detailed estimates tailored to your specific choices prior to installation. Our goal is to make the customization process smooth and transparent, so you know exactly what to expect. Let me know if you are interested in learning more. Thanks!
@@holidayfordwi Thanks for so thorough a reply. I'll keep you all in mind. In a way, what I'm trying to do one might call "raptorizing" the Platinum, just a bit anyway, at least in appearance, hopefully retaining most or all of the mpg advantage of the Platinum over the Raptor, and definitely gaining the added luxury of the Platinum seats to make the miles of highway driving I do as luxuriously comfortable as possible. One thing I wonder, if you know, the Raptor has springs front and rear, the Platinum has leafs. Multiple youtubers have commented on how buttery smooth the Raptor drive is even on the highway as a result of its suspension. I wonder, would the Platinum luxury leather seats make the Platinum more luxurious and smooth a drive than the Raptor? Put another way, will the Raptor be a smoother drive than the Platinum due to its suspension regardless of how luxurious the Platinum seats are? And if I do a level/lift of some sort on the Platinum, is there a high end version that might replace the leafs at one or both ends with springs? Just some things I've wondered about.
You have to custom build if you want to be on the safe side. That is what I did for my Lariat, but did you notice that there is no switch for heated steering wheel?
Anyone have issues with 2023 lariat or above trims with bluecruise not working while towing ? Mine doesn’t work when towing but works when trailer light disconnects .
I did notice that this Platinum does not have heated steering wheel, is this at the owners discretion or Ford is still making excuses for the 'chip shortages'?
Notice you didn’t mention all the “deletes” , including heated steering wheel. Their is no way I would buy a truck with a high trim package without a heated steering wheel. I most likely will buy a Silverado just because of that. Other deletes to. Yet MSRP on a platinum went up appx $6000 from a exact 2021. Fords greed might bring send then to extinction.
Ask anyone in Texas or New Mexico / Arizona how that black is cool during the summer! Lol. Can’t even sit on seats. PASS! Carmelo leather is stunning interior on f150.
Tint your front windows and/or start your truck a few minutes before getting into it. The cooled seats only need a minute or two and the seats won't be hot. really the days of black leather being a major problem are gone on higher trim vehicles.
@@atomictyler nah. Carmelo leather is not hot so a better option plus it looks stunning! . Black steering wheel is hot enough. Black shows the dirt. Dirt is brown/beige. Not black. My black floor mats show everything. When I had beige they always looked clean! Lesson learned. No more black! Lol. My opinion.
Ram is still holding on to that 5.7 hemi. I would consider a ram if the went to the inline twin turbo 6. More power more torque. Which they are supposed to change to in 2025.
Thank you!! Just bought a used 2023
Never seen a platinum with the black appearance package. Actually looks sick. Wanna see a limited with it now.

Many of the options you mentioned new for 2023 are on my 2021 Platinum.

Now, this is the truck I would buy. Nothing Less if it $60,000
You still have to hit the shade button two separate times to open it all the way.
very usefull thank you
Glad it was useful!
A Ford és uma empresa que sempre cria uma novidade , aos amantes da marca!.👍🤠
Like this model.

Are these reliable? People always say they break down?
Looks great. What tiers are those?
This is a 2023 Ford F-150 Platinum with the Black Appearance Package.

Does ford instal the side steps? Just got a 2023 f150
On the Platinum they come pre-installed by the factory, but our accessory team is happy to help you add/install OEM or aftermarket side steps.
What size and kind of tires are on this truck?
The tires are 20" BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2
Is it available on canada? I don't see this package on the site

I own the Ram 5.7 hemi and love it. That engine roars to life and has plenty of power. Turbos are complicated and costly to fix.
Either this dude is massive or that truck is tiny….
Joe is a giant...
Ford offers more in extras than Ram trucks. Sure it costs a lot. Save your money and don’t finance most of it.
The F-150 is the best-selling truck for 46 consecutive years for a reason!
