Ian (and Big Wreck) are criminally underrated and should be about 10x bigger than they are.
The most underrated band/artist on this planet. This man is a god!
It's a SnazzMaster! Cracked me up, and he's right too. The Thornley SnazzMaster is born.
Ian & Suhr .. talk about two top shelf entities.
If there ever was a guitar that cried out to be finished in Aztec Gold more than this one...
Some of my favourite clips:
"Big Wreck "Come Again" w jam Altar 4-9-13"
"Big Wreck - Ghosts (LIVE at the Suhr Factory Party 2015)"
"Ian Fletcher Thornley - "Under the Lighthouse" (LIVE from the Suhr Factory Party 2016)"
This is 100% my dream guitar. Everything I could ever want right here and I'm so happy it's the signature of one of my favourite players of all time
Ian is a Legend
Got one in my grubby hands right now to sample for a couple of days....It is amazing!!! So comfy, so versatile, so well built! A fitting tool for such a monster player!
i have such a man crush on this dude.... my freaking idol
Snazzmaster!!
Beautiful Guitar and deserving of a great guitarist! Congrats Ian!
Agreed! :)
Love the guitar. Have the sig and ordered a custom very similar because it really is a swiss army knife guitar.
Why has no one uploaded a demo of this guitar!? I have one of these and they are breath taking !! 🤗🎸🎶
looks like a great Snazzmaster! :)
Beautiful guitar, such a piece of furniture!
Ian is awesome to watch taking a guitar off road !
I have one. It is a great guitar.
I played one in a store and honestly the best feeling guitar I’ve ever played. I’m torn because I’ve ordered a custom shop reissue 335 (I’ve dreamed of owning a high end Gibson since I was a kid) but this thing is great and if that 335 doesn’t live up to my standards then I’m getting this instead (wish I could afford both lol). Great guitar!
Kurtis Brooks The Suhr is more versatile for sure but 335s are great too.
Chris Lester well I’ve got the 335 now and to be honest I’m still torn lol. The 335 sounds absolutely killer and it looks and feels amazing but the small frets on the reissue are taking a bit of getting used to and it’s kind of noisy, almost like a single coil, on the gain channel. I wish I could afford both ha ha.
Kurtis Brooks That’s too bad about the noise and the frets. I know what you mean about having both guitars. I have heard nothing but great reviews on the Suhr Thornley.
Kurtis Brooks I know that feeling. I think, from the sounds of it, you may be more satisfied with the Suhr.
So did you get a Suhr? In my opinion this is one of the best guitar makers on the planet. I have the old Guthrie Govan signature and it makes me not want to touch other guitars lol. I'm looking at buying his signature Charvel now, because I feel like Guthrie, like Ian, is too intelligent about guitars that they couldn't build a bad signature. Lol
his look remember me kotzen a lot, even playing in the stage
This is really cool, lots of people, even Fender have tried to update / modernize this body shape, and they have never been successful, in my opinion...But this one, this one would actually be something I would consider buying. The switching is great too, and I'm sure if you want to throw some P90's in there you could, I'm sure someone out there makes P90 sized hum buckers.
I love you. You are one of the best guitar players on the planet. I saw you ian and i cried out of admiration. You are number one.
In over two decades of seriously playing guitar, I have never wanted an offset guitar. This thing though, I think I might have to make a little extra room in the stable for it 👀
Seems like a real cool guy! Great guitar shape!!
Yeah, but what about that double creamburst one at NAMM?
That is one of the prettiest guitars I've ever seen.
That is a new color
Probably the most beautiful guitar I’ve ever seen! Would love to get my hands on one but I’d have to sell 4 or more of my guitars to be able to afford it…..although this thing is 4 or more guitars in one…..so yeah, think I just talked myself into it. 😆 🤘🏻
Suhr, do you have any videos featuring the SSH humbucker?
I understood 10% of what was said.
Is this Ritchie Kotzen half-brother?
Giant brother
Word.
The shape is nice but pastel blue finish is not for me. Would like to see the other colours available.
ShredB4 dead
It is seafoam green not pastel blue
Why was this video re-uploaded? All the original comments have disappeared.
Sorry, we had to change the way it was posted due to licensing.
Probably got copyright strikes on the music
Looks like a rights issue with regard to Big Wreck's music forced Suhr to add credits at the end of the video. That's the only thing I can see that has changed.
Why not 24 Fret Ian?
The guy’s obviously a tone chaser. He’s about tone. Not shredder hoodly hoodly. He’s about sound, not being Ingwie. Good songwriting.
Fat to skinny, raunchy to pretty. Sounds like a snazzy weekend.
