These team Yankee batreps just keep getting better and better, love it.
From a tactical perspective defend is most likely to be the worst stance with a force of up armoured warriors due to the number of missions with deep reserves, as seen this hurt the British player as the majority of the force had FA4 +. The better choice would have been manoeuvre, as this would have given them a better fighting chance.

Hi there, I'm not an expert on Team Yankee and am building a British Army list at present. There is one thing I don't understand in this game: how can the Spandrel Anti-tank platoon spot for artillery...any artillery? The Spandrels are not specialist observers, nor are they an artillery unit, nor are they a Formation HQ...so technically they cannot spot for artillery. Have I missed something here?

Minor Nitpick at 1:20:40 and 1:31:30, Uparmoured warriors have applique armor which is a 13 effective armor vs heat, Bmp1's 73mm gun is heat ap-12 and can't hurt them. Unfortunately it did decide the game. Regardless a great match that could've gone either way, absolute carnage of wrecks.
Also as a tip the 73mm gun is better at digging Infantry out of cover than MGs even if it shoots less.
Finally I think you forgot your last Fitter existed about halfway through. You stopped rolling after the Hinds went down.
Huh. Neither Josh nor I spotted the problem with the BMPs shooting the Warriors. Dang! :D
Heat in my mind always means "missiles" I only remember the BMP because it's gotten me before.😂@@ijdundas
I was looking at this issue again over the weekend and realized that moments after the mistake at 1:31:30, Josh got enough "overkill" on the next Warrior with his T-55s to have prevented Destroyed one and Bailed Out the other. So that one's a wash. The mistake at 1:20:xx isn't as easily overcome, but I suspect the Warrior killed there was from my Formation HQ (didn't check back thoroughly enough to be 100% sure of that, though, and the game was more than three months ago so I can't remember on my own), and thus was out of command. I can't see that that prevents it contesting, but it might call into question whether I was observing the rules for HQ Transports when I was moving and shooting with it. So I'm good with the karma of then losing it to a shot that shouldn't have penetrated. :D
@@ijdundas I personally find the in command rules break down a bit when in a scrum like that, with wrecks and terrain interfering with distances. The reason I believe a no chance penetration matters is not specific kills but instead the "but for".
What might've Josh done instead knowing his BMPs had to use saggers at distance to hurt your warriors? Would he have committed the t55s alone with the Carl G's in assault range?

i've been asking around my area to see if anyone plays this. the historical gamers sometimes do play but most seem to be FOW or other games. If there is a ok sized community i'd probably start the game with a small force.

I am looking at starting up a FOW army but haven't had anything jump out at me yet. Also any modern naval games you had in mind?
