I'm 75 yrs old and so thankful I have memories of the best music era ever, Fout Tops we're the epitome of Tamla Motown and Levi's voice was " Motown " so sad these guys and many others are sadly gone, with Lamont Dozier being the latest to pass away RIP Levi your voice will last forever
Not only was Levi the greatest lead singer ever, he was the best, & when you have the best you can't get any better than that. 4 of the most gracious men ever, love & miss them so much. .....❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️love you Dee
Amen to that one 1⃣, they are and will always be one of the most influential and iconic singing groups that left us with a very classic sound, rip to these Incredible men who have since passed away.
I remember taking my then girlfriend to see this group 51 years ago at the Bristol colstan hall in Bristol she’s now my wife of 50 years and when’re still strong together
The were the greatest ever, they were 4 of the most gracious men ever, Levi had the vice of an Angel, he had a God gifted talent, as well as the whole group, they were true brothers the respect they had for each other & the loyalty was the best, I loved them so much & miss them.❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️a true fan ....... love you Dee
@@eleanorlean4123 Hi Yes I agree, didn't mean to sound so harsh, I apologize, yes I acknowledge Abdul ( Duke ) Fakir is still the sole survivor of the greatest group ever, & he misses his Brothers Dearly, but I must say that to see the replacements up there on Stage, im sorry is not the same as seeing Levi, Renaldo ( Obie) & Lawrence..... I remember when I was little girl, around 8 yrs old & 2 of my oldest sister played their records all the time, but I remember the four tops coming to a park in neighborhood I lived in came to perform, & I want to say, that you couldn't find the most Kindest, gracious, Men, you'd ever want to meet, I along with my childhood friends we were dancing as any 8 year olds would dance & we got hugs from these 4 gracious men I along with my sisters still have their autographs & its something I will always treasure, you have a blessed day 👋👋👋👋🙋♀️Dee
@@eleanorlean4123 Hi Eleanor, you did offend me in any way, please forgive me, if I made it sound so, yes I agree we have the you tube, it breaks my heart each time I see them, you'd wish they'd be around forever, their music is my therapy, each song has a story to it, you can understand what they sing, & sing Levi did, He had the voice of an Angel, he was the best, along with his brothers, & when you have the best, you can't get any better than that, you live in Scotland a beautiful Country, my Niece's dream In 5 years she will retire, her dream is to live in Scotland, she is saving all her nckels, dimes, & pennies, Eleanor I must say it was very nice to speak to you, God Bless, have a great day...... my Given name is Deirdre but everyone calls me Dee...... 🙋♀️👋👍
@@eleanorlean4123 Hi again Eleanor, I want to share something else with you, you know some time ago Duke was being interviewed and he was talking about his brothers with tears in his eyes he was telling the story about Obie Benson who happened to write the song what's going on with in Collabaration with a good friend and as it happened, the four tops were in San Francisco touring & they were just hanging around with this crowd getting to know everyone, when there was a group of Hippues just having a good time, when along came two police officers and started to harrass these Hippies for no apparent reason, & this bothered Obie, so he decided to write a song, which was what's going on. He first presented this song to the group & they agreed it wasn't for them, he we t to Berry Gordy & he also agreed wasn't for them, he then presented it to Joan Baez who didn't think it was for her either. Well they went to Marvin again presented it to him, & look at what a hit it became, true story told by Duke...... have a blessed day.....👋🙋♀️
