Vera admitting she auditioned for Sarah's role blew me away, isn't it refreshing to see someone who is at peace enough with themselves to be able to laugh and joke with their competition? Actresses get a bad wrap sometimes, actors can be worse and much more infantile too. Very dynamic panel of women, I've sincerely enjoyed all of their current work.
yeh alot of that is media. they speak about it in another round table about being "difficult" or a diva when you actually want to talk about your role or the work your doing wen your passionate. just the double standard there is in that industry specifically even though you might expect it to be different since its a place for human stories. Also reality tv projects a false image of women in groups and although no one takes that shit seriously the whole stereotype of women being catty and competitive is one created in high school and usually left in high school unless perpetuated in such "reality" tv sets.
Oh my god! Vera is absolute perfection. There is just something about her. Her voice, her eyes, her personality. Just everything. And she's the most absolute sweetest person ever!! So intelligent and talented. So glad I get to see her work!!
+Katy Deschanel Perry - I concur eleventy-one percent. I have a hard time deciding who my favorite actress is, i.e., specifically it's a "tie" between Vera and Naomi Watts. It's funny though, this _particular_ group, in that my Claire Danes and Sarah Paulson are probably my silver and bronze.
Vera Farmiga seemed very interesting and I had the impression that her insights might have been different from the others and would have added more to the dialogue. I wish we heard more from her. With these roundtables, it is natural for the more extroverted to speak out first and more often, so it is up to the interviewers to prompt the quieter guests. I wish they'd done that with Vera. I would have loved to know more about her.
Vera Farmiga is a very talented actress and her eyes are so mesmerizing. I don't think it's simply the eye color; others have the same eye color, but there's just a very serene quality to her face, coupled with her mesmerizing eyes, and also an equally serene personality... it's all very hypnotic. She also is insightful in this round table. I just wished she talked more.
I just don't understand why Vera Farmiga wasn't nominated for the Emmys. It doesn't make any sense, she's breathtaking as Norma Bates as well as every character she plays.
What an invigorating roundtable interview. Loved listening to these independent and intelligent women of television. Sarah Paulson & Vera are by far the best talent at the table.
LMAO making fun of John Travolta "the WICKEDLY talented, Adele Nazim" loll And that cookie store conversation at the end was HILARIOUS. Love all these women
Exactly! I mean... If she would look at me, a part of me would hurt... Oh she's so out-of-this World Beautiful. Everything about her really. But it pisses me off that these bastards here focus only on those in front of them and they put her and the Sopranos' actress on the side never directing a question to them!!! >(
I've watched this interview 3 or four times and every time, the final conversation is just funnier and funnier. I love Sarah's excitement and the way she says "what are you going to bring TO OUR STORE??"
As a black man after watching 12 Years A Slave, I HATED Sarah Paulson. I wanted to kill her. Then I watched AHM seasons 1-3 and fell in love with her. I guess thats just a testament to how good of an actor she is.
+Kay Klas (Klas647) Similar experience in hating actors at least. Forrest Whitaker - saw him first in The Last King of Scotland, kills his wife and cuts her limbs off and swaps them (legs sewed onto shoulders and vice versa). Hated him. Then I saw the butler an d I mellowed.
Martin Lee So Imagine how long it took for me to be able to watch ANYTHING with Forrest Whitaker considering me and my family fled to Canada when Idi Amin's regime fell? These actors are messing with our heads.
It probably does. I would also say if there was round table with passionate doctors (as long as they talked in laymen terms) or maybe interior designers I would watch that as well. I like their passion and drive. I don't watch most of these show but Claire Danes does an amazing job on Homeland. I think something is attracting me sad though since this will never be part of my world.
BDWJ1986 Actually, I am an actress, and I find watching passionate actors speak about their craft extremely intriguing and informative, as well as inspiring.
Quite a pleasant roundtable. Sarah Paulson is pretty funny as always, Vera Farmiga's eyes and sophisticated voice are a bit intimidating as always, Jessica Pare's candor is charming as always, Julianna Margulies has a strong "leader" vibe as always, Claire Danes seems fun to hang out with, reminding us of her acting skills (she's nothing like Carrie), and Keri Russell laughs a lot. Oh, and she's the most beautiful girl of the bunch.
Why does it matter who the most beautiful is? Do you watch the mens round table and publish your unsolicited opinion about who the most handsome of them is? Get over yourself.
lestudio76 A) Why shouldn't it matter ? B) No I don't watch the mens round table trying to decide who's the hottest one, but only because I'm a straight guy, and if a girl did that, as many do, I think I'd survive. C) Your opinion about my comment is pretty much as "unsoliticed" as my comment. D) Try following your own advice, getting over yourself may help you with your obvious issues.
+SCharlesDennicon Don't know why a couple of folks got up in arms about your last comment. Personally, Vera is the most beautiful of this bunch to me. It's an opinion. And I haven't watched most of the other actress' shows so I can't comment on their acting abilities, but Vera has incredible talent.
Claire Danes man. You hear her in interviews and she's just so different to all the characters she's known for. One of the best actresses to ever come.
I love how Claire Danes is just so colorful and vibrant. So different from her roles in Romeo&Juliet, Stardust, Homeland.. goes to show how great an actreshs she is.
Vera Farmiga outfit is so cute it's vibrant light cute nice it's perfection like her it's amazing and just knowing that she auditioned for Sarah's role was amazing but it would be nice to see Vera Farmiga and Sarah Paulson in the same movie
Sarah Paulson did a great job in Martha Marcy May Marlene. She and Elizabeth Olsen both gave really elegant and nuanced performances. Also I love her outfit in this, tres chic.
I loved the Bates Motel and have crush on Freddy Highmore. The interaction and lines between Vera Farmiga and Freddy Highmore was so dynamic and compelling. I'd like to see them together again.
I love these round tables, but it took me awhile to put my finger on why one of the hosts is off-putting to me. She tends to hedge her question by saying something like "it must have been nerve racking when" which puts an emotion on another person. You could really see how uncomfortable the comedy actresses were with her questions because often they felt the opposite of what she proposed and possibly felt judged for feeling that way. As a general interviewing rule, you should not answer the question you are asking.
Intelligent actresses/actors give the best performances. These ladies are so eloquent and candid, this was a very interesting & possibly my favourite roundtable yet.
i really love that ending sarah paulson is a riot i feel like these guys would be just perfect friends how is it possible that they all have such great chemistry together please be fast friends and get on that store idea i want some alicia cookies, josh charles can make the espressos, mathew rhys can be there too oh and goode because goodwife and rhysy pal connection. Hugh Dancy too and all of these women, maybe this place should serve more than just cookies.
This was so much fun to watch. I love Kerri Russell and it was great to hear from all the talented actresses. They all make success look really easy and it's refreshing to hear the challenges they've over come to keep doing what they know they where born to do. Keep these videos coming!!
That last part was hysterical. Julianna and Jessica make the macaroons. Claire makes the artwork. Vera edits the commercial. Keri brings the customers. Don't worry Sarah, you can act in the commercial. Everyone has a job that they love :D
The ending is hilarious. Make that macaroon shop happen, I will definitely be a regular customer. Such a great interview, though I only watch half of these shows and haven't caught up so I didn't come out of it entirely spoiler-free. But I've really fallen in love with these wonderful women beyond their careers and I love that.
This was truly wonderful to see. There were a lot of natural, playful, and genuine moments that happened within these 59 minutes. These actresses are beautiful woman, inside and out, and are also extremely talented.
There'd be quite a lot of egos to fit into one table though. Fallon and Meyers would probably be really humbled to just be included, but I think it'd be hard to get Leno and Letterman to sit down at the same table.
I watched the comedy actresses round table first, but this one is more entertaining. The actresses feature in the drama are more mature in some way, no weird competition and trying to be funny vibe here. Anyone else?
Sarah Paulson Whoo hoo! New fav for me. Loved her honesty & Claire Dane's sense of..... Reality i guess, like when knows actors are perceived as ungrateful when they complain about paparazzi.
Love these so much. So enjoyable to watch. Thanks for uploading The Hollywood Reporter . Love the contributions from Sarah Paulson, just wish Keri Russell had contributed more.
i kinda love the way they all said slightly different things and even if they weren’t related to the store, sarah brought them all together and made sure they were all included in it
Thank you! I actually have Carrie in Homeland as one of my favorite female characters of all time, but Claire the actress here was too dominating. I wanted more Vera :( They just put her on the side and directed all questions to those in front fo them. Morrons... >/
Max N. So what about the first question Claire is asked & then Sarah immediately interjects before Claire even begins to respond? This is what happens when you have multiple people in a room talking. Perhaps it should have been moderated much more clearly?
WOW! I was surfing for some HOMELAND stuff and found this interview...YOU SPOILED ME in one hour! Have to share this and the rest with all my pals! GREAT GREAT interview! Honesty like I've never seen!
we're in the middle of The Americans right now (thanks to COVID-19 lockdown), and I just realized why Kerri Russell is SO glowing here - her "on the set" romance with her leading man Matthew Rhys was in full swing back in 2014. I like her in the series and she seems a fun gal too.
I just finished Homeland series So saddened by the final episode so much mix emotions 😪 I live for Claire Danes What a remarkable actress 👏 ❤ Bravo thats all I could said
So many flawless, funny, talented, well spoken, bad ass women at this table. I'm jealous I wasn't sitting there picking their brains. I'd pay a fortune to have thought-provoking conversations with any of them, honestly, I could listen to them speak and interact for hours.

Vera has the most beautiful eyes of any actors I know
her and Alexandra Daddario
xoxosh Emily deschanel
Thought that as soon as she popped up
Also Saoirse Ronan has such beautiful light blue eyes😌 it's almost like they didn't need to make her eyes glow in "the host" lol
Yessss🙌
Oh my god! Vera is absolute perfection. There is just something about her. Her voice, her eyes, her personality. Just everything. And she's the most absolute sweetest person ever!! So intelligent and talented. So glad I get to see her work!!
+Katy Deschanel Perry Vera is one of the most underrated actresses. Anyone who has seen Down to the Bone and Boy With the Striped Pyjamas would agree.
+Sub Roy She's breathtaking in Never Forever and Running Scared too. Highly recommend.
Ana Luiza Pena Absolutely agree about Running Scared. I didn't see Never Forever. I didn't like Orphan much but she was terrific in that, too.
Ana Luiza Pena And completely forgot about her Oscar nominated role in Up in the Air. That one was quiet, drama-free and brilliant. :)

You just hit the nail on the HEAD💋
Vera and Sarah are my two favourite actresses so this makes me unbelievably happy
Me tooooo... I cant stop watching this...
Sarah Paulson seems to be so fun to be around.
I just don't understand why Vera Farmiga wasn't nominated for the Emmys. It doesn't make any sense, she's breathtaking as Norma Bates as well as every character she plays.
My thoughts EXACTLY
LOVE Sarah Paulson's dress! So different and out of the box, just like her :)
Vera is one GORGEOUS lady
What an invigorating roundtable interview. Loved listening to these independent and intelligent women of television. Sarah Paulson & Vera are by far the best talent at the table.
Probably one of my favorite episodes. Sarah Paulson is bloody hilarious.
LMAO making fun of John Travolta "the WICKEDLY talented, Adele Nazim" loll And that cookie store conversation at the end was HILARIOUS. Love all these women
sarah paulson and vera farmiga should have a baby because it would be the perfect mix
