Thank you so much for this helpful video!! Didn’t want to bother my co worker who has her day off today 😂 even better your account is dedicated to nz/aus 😊
Thankyou so very much it's been 20 years since I've had an Overlocker and you are the 1st person to show & explain how easy it really can be to thread my Singer. After spending hours of frustration, then finding your YT video Thanku, Thanku, your fantastic
Thank you so much for your video. I was going crazy with my new singer hd overlocker - gathering up - thought I’d tried everything - used your tutorial to rethread it and now it works a treat.
Thank you. Great video. I just wish the camera would have zoomed in some more:- Some close-ups on the intricate parts where the looper is, would have been good. Nevertheless, I like how you took your time to explain and go through things slowly.
Thank you for the threading tutorial. My problem is that it sews well on the fabric, but it is crooked and untidy under the fabric and it does not sew well, what should I do?
Thankyou every single time 🫶🏾🫶🏾 I got my serger at Christmas and alway get overwhelmed when it comes to re threading as this is my theirs time and I come back to this video clear and helpful
Thanks a lot. Couldnt figure out how to set up the threads. I had to sent to the shop to let them set up for me. Its easier if I search on youtube first 🤦🏼♂️
Why are you threading the yellow one first? It clearly shows on the diagram, on the machine, that the orange/reddish one goes first...the yellow goes second. I'm confused...why isn't anybody catching that and commenting about it? Weird!
Because at the start of the video he clearly says this is the order outlined, but he likes to do it that way. It's simply just his preference, instead of going zig-zag.
This is really strange!!! Rule #1 for every sewing machine, serger og cover-stitch machine is to LIFT THE FOOT BEFORE THREADING THE MACHINE! This releases the tension discs and the thread will find its way! If you don't, you're quit sure to experience trouble!
Possibly it hooks on to the feet on the bottom of the machine and drapes over the edge of the work table to catch the strips of fabric that get cut off...
It sews well on the fabric for me, but the thread gathers under the fabric and it sews very ugly, what should I do? I want to throw this wheel out of the window because it sews so ugly under the fabric, what should I do?
Excellent Question. I talked to a singer rep and she stated that the machines are the same. This model the Heavy Duty is the newest model with a larger cutting knife.
I have this machine but I need the get a tighter stitch. I have not need able to get a tighter stitch what am I doing wrong? I started to just try and make a dress just using the overlocker but the stitches could be seen on the right side, HELP.

Have just wasted 3 frustrating hours of my life threading this awful machine for my wife who has arthritis in her hands. The thread system design is archaic and Singer need to completely re-design it. My advice - DON'T buy this brand!!
Try Jamie Kemp's video on Male Devon Sew, an excellent, clear and concise example of overlocker threading. He also has other video on tension and the other stitches the machine can do.
@@singersewinganz I've contacted Singer they told me that this machine can serge multiple layers of denim? Can you confirm that? Also denim requires size 16 needles. Where can I find domestic overlocker needles in that size? Can I use industrial overlocker needles size 16 on this machine?
@@IEXECUTIVE Hi Yes, this can Serge or Overlock multiple layers of denim. If you need further help you can contact our technicians here: singerco.com.au/contact/
I just was I could thread the needles, i know my machine will go out the window, as I’ve wasted so much time trying to thread it. Think I will just stick with the sewing machine !
You’ve saved me from throwing my new overlocker out of the window! Thank you guys 😅
Thank you for the video!!! I’ve been searching high and low for a clear and easy tutorial. This fits the bill and was a great help!

Hi Peter, sorry you feel this way. All overlockers thread this way if they are mechanical - only an 'Air Threader' is automatic.
