Sorted has always had the best subscribers, I would say on RUclips. Everyone is friendly and thoughtful. And virtually no haters. I've been watching you guys since Barry cooked fish in a dishwasher 5 and a half years ago. Keep up the great work boys.
Ben's clingfilm skills are ON POINT! Is that a thing they teach at uni or something? Clingfilm and I aren't actually simpatico and I can't help but be amazed at how Ben uses it without problems. I need some advice on how to do that. Thanks in advance!
I love how sorted food makes us feel important when you guys show and do what the comments ask . I think all of you adorable *.* greetings from Brasil!!

You guys are OUTSTANDING! I love this show and have been following along for a few years now i think. Always enjoy each and every new episode.THANK YOU!
I am SO happy I found this channel, been following for a couple of months now and will, of course, continue to do so! The range of yummy dishes is amazing and the comedic value is top notch - keep up the good work, can't wait to see more! You deserve all the success that comes your way! X
+SORTED Food Because she is probably Brazilian (given her name); and here people tend to overuse condensed milk. But she is right: lemon tart with condensed milk+lemon juice filling, and meregue topping is a classic in Brazil. It can be found everywhere.
I love how at 4:20, Ben screws up his nose as he feels the tartness of the lemon, saying, "Lemon Tart: tart, but sweet", like he's trying to convince both us AND himself! Hahaha! The SORTED Quartet are the cutest ever!
Lemon tart is my favourite! I'm definately making this one! Do you reckon you'd get a good result mixing in more citrus fruits and then the peel from them aswell inside the filling to give it some colour aswell as taste?
+Bunny Tang There's no meringue in this. Use this recipe to make a Lemon Meringue Tart: www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/ina-garten/lemon-meringue-tart-recipe.html I use it all the time and it comes out perfect every time.
+Laila Zoghaib Good for you! :) Baking/cooking is a good hobby to get into while you're young. As a 24 year old, believe me: your future self will thank you for learning to cook now!
I used this recipe for mini lemon tarts. I had 10, 9cm and used about half the pastry (I was weighing them instead of cutting because it was too loose to roll) at about 25g per mold. For the filling, I made 1/3rd from the recipe and it was so exactly 5 table spoons per mold and all were full. It came out perfect 👌
I live in Italy and it's very hard to find double cream here, we normally have just single cream! What can I use instead? Or should I just make a lemon curd for the filling?
In chile (i have no idea if it's common in other countries as well) we make lemon pie which is filled with condensed milk and lemon juice and topped with creamy meringue :) it is so yummy!
I don't know why but one of the things I love most about sorted is that they never use a lemon reamer, they just squeeze the lemons with their hands using brute force XD
Have you tried your hand at making Rotiboy aka Mexican coffee buns? They have made a huge splash in Southeast Asia and Korea. Pillowy white buns with a crisp coffee topping. So delicious. I would love a video :)
can you make another series? this is the concept, you'll find or subscribers will request any recipes found in PINTEREST. to test if its doable or not, or just to know if its delicious or not,.... perhaps upgrade an pinterest recipe. sounds great right? you're welcome!
No chopping board, no spring of mint. Ben, how did you survive? :D That tart looks amazing, but what can I use to weigh down the pastry if I can't get my hands on on those baking beans?
Anyone know if I can use almond milk instead of regular milk? I LOVE lemon but my husband is lactose intolerant, and badly so. I really want to make this! Thanks!
is kind of egg tarts but use fruit juice , but the question is if the filling is runny , do I need to use thickener before I pour in to the tart ? because I think the filling will wet the short crush
We have a tub of caster sugar that we cram vanilla pods in once we've used their seeds and infused liquids. Just wash them, dry them and store in the sugar. The whole tub of sugar takes on the vanilla aroma! Any dried pea, chickpea, bean or lentil will work in place of baking beans.
+SORTED Food I seem to recall hearing Mary Berry saying at some point that she uses uncooked dry pasta instead of baking beans when she's baking at home.
Thank you guys for this amazing lemon tarte I think I should try it because it really seems delicious but can you please make strawberry tarte cause I really love strawberry!😊
I burned myself on a very hot pan making dinner last night. I didn't know what to do, and there's so many recommendations on what to do, but I want to know what you guys would Do regarding a burn from the kitchen!
Oh this looks delicious. I'm so gonna try this for my family around easter :) BTW, have you ever tried german sauerbraten? That sound like something you could have a lot of fun with :D
Orange might lead to it being too sweet unless you adapt how much sugar you put in. Lime should work well. I also saw a comment that said passion fruit would be good. So I think those kinda sour tart flavours would work well in this.
I love how you really pay attention to the needs of your viewers, it shows how much you care (and yes, I'm talking about the Mike suggestion).

+Fahim Rahat That's why we love you guys!
loving the realness in this one. another great recipe.
Ben's clingfilm skills are ON POINT! Is that a thing they teach at uni or something? Clingfilm and I aren't actually simpatico and I can't help but be amazed at how Ben uses it without problems. I need some advice on how to do that. Thanks in advance!
It can sense your fear. Be confident with it.
+jeca osorio Be the master of it... show the clingfilm who is in charge! And always have a pair of scissors at hand. They will fear you.
I love how sorted food makes us feel important when you guys show and do what
the comments ask .
I think all of you adorable *.*
greetings from Brasil!!
What a fine tart you have there lads! Now pipe on a pile of meringue on top and I'm yours! :)
+Donal Skehan yeah an authentic tart from the north of france always has meringue on top
+arthur herman well thats a lemon meringue tart, this is a lemon tart, or Tarte au citron, which classicaly doesn't have an italian meringue
Agreed :)
no the tarte au citron traditionally has meringue. Lemon Meringue is made differently. There are several types of meringue.
the most beautiful discussion on internet!!!@@callmeyourdai5y518

This tart is the meaning of lemony heavenly deliciousness and I love it, made it all by myself and I'm 15 so anyone can do it

+Shamaila Iram Thanks! Glad to have you here :)
I really am fascinated by using some of the pastry to help tuck it in around the pan. Good tip!
Holy Ben, Batman! Lemon is probably one of my absolute favorite flavors and y'all NAILED this recipe. No doubts.
Lemon tart heaven guys!! Absolutely beautiful!
i love it when you guys do stuff with lemon.... lemon is my favorite! makes me so happy :)
In my house, instead of milk + sugar, we use a can of sweet condensed milk (because of course)... You should give it a try... ;)
+Ana Arantes Because of course :D
+SORTED Food Because she is probably Brazilian (given her name); and here people tend to overuse condensed milk. But she is right: lemon tart with condensed milk+lemon juice filling, and meregue topping is a classic in Brazil. It can be found everywhere.
+Roberto Aguiar Well that's a shitty way to put it....Brazilian food is fucking bomb and when they put condensed milk into anything it tastes better
Abdul Hussein It's very good. Not better, just different... I think there's a compliment in that, somewhere... so thank you! ;)
Roberto Aguiar There's no such thing as an "overuse" of condensed milk... :P
you guys are one of the best cooking channels on YT. registered on your homepage today - thanks for everything :)
Do you keep the dough trimmings for future baking or do you discard them?
links to recipes do not work
This is the best pie ever! Just had a piece for breakfast! Thank you!
I love how at 4:20, Ben screws up his nose as he feels the tartness of the lemon, saying, "Lemon Tart: tart, but sweet", like he's trying to convince both us AND himself! Hahaha! The SORTED Quartet are the cutest ever!
Here in argentina we make the filling with egg yolks, condensed milk and lemon juice. It comes out perfect every time!
this is practically the same as my lemon tart recipe, except i use extra lemon zest (not orange) in the crust. delicious!
Lemon tart is my favourite! I'm definately making this one!
Do you reckon you'd get a good result mixing in more citrus fruits and then the peel from them aswell inside the filling to give it some colour aswell as taste?

+Sidhant Khatri thanks for the suggestions
every time I've seen something I didn't want to see, I come hear to clear my mind. love you guys 😁
i wish you guys use this simple format in a series again
I'm actually going to make tartlets this weekend and was hoping to see a good filling recipe here. Now, I'm debating about changing my dessert. :)
Do you deliver? I want that tart so badly! YUMO!!
PETITION FOR SORTED FOOD TO DELIVER
+heavy fragrant søul aye!🙋
I agree with the fans that sent in suggestions, plenty of citrus flavor, I don't want it to taste a bit lemony, I want BAM lemon taste
Instead of vanilla sugar, I would put seeds from a vanilla pod to give it a stronger vanilla flavour and the seeds gives the tart a nice look to it :)
Love the pacing of this video! I'd also love to know what you did for your lighting. And of course the tart sounds amazing! Great job guys!
I'm 13 and obsessed with this channel...
So am I
+Laila Zoghaib Same
+Laila Zoghaib Same but I cook and bake all the time
Same but I don't really make any of the stuff here 😂😂
+Laila Zoghaib Good for you! :) Baking/cooking is a good hobby to get into while you're young. As a 24 year old, believe me: your future self will thank you for learning to cook now!

It was not so yellow at the beginning, but as it set, it got to the normal full yellow color. I was worried, so I’m writing for others to know :-)
Next day update: It’s almost impossible to take out of mold after a night in the fridge. When it was just baked it was very easy
We do LOVE a citrus dessert and this looks delicious :)
It took 3 takes to say that? I feel we should have some more bloopers :)
Agreed, would love to see some bloopers!
+Lizzy C yeah, the last ones were nearly 3 years ago lads! 😉xx
include bloopers at the end of the videos to make us watch until the end!!! lol
Agreed :)
yaa blooopers
Lemon tart and two cuties. Love this show

How would you change the baking times if you were making a bunch of 3" tartlets instead of one big one?
Where can I get my hands on a set of those Sorted color changing plates?
Would a combination of lemon, lime and orange work in this? I love lemons.
This look soo good , and help-me to improve my english ! Thank ALL of you só much !!!!
Looks really scrummy- tangy filling and a short, crumbly crust. Perfect :3
looks delicious! random comment though, is your white balance alright? in all your latest videos what should be yellow always looks greenish to me
I don't know why but one of the things I love most about sorted is that they never use a lemon reamer, they just squeeze the lemons with their hands using brute force XD
Were those candied lemon peels on the tart next to the whipped cream? if so , how do you make those?!
Great job guys! I hate condensed milk and I dont like mint so this is the perfect recipe to me. I love it! Argentina love ya ❤
I love that subtle joke toward the end. Instead of serving it on one cutting board, they ate it off of three cutting boards.
Oh yeah! You guys do it every time. xx
Can I not use the double cream? or just substitute it with another?
Have you tried your hand at making Rotiboy aka Mexican coffee buns? They have made a huge splash in Southeast Asia and Korea. Pillowy white buns with a crisp coffee topping. So delicious. I would love a video :)
it looks delicious! but how can i do it vegan? is it possible?
Omg! That looks amazing! Makes my mouth water.
If I don't have vanilla sugar, can I substitute it for regular sugar and then add a vanilla bean or some vanilla extract?
Hi Sorted Food. Love you guys. Question... What can I replace instead of ceramic beans? :)
+Diana Wong Dry beans or dry rice would work!
This lemon tart looks amazing
i love this so much that i will bake it every weekend!!!
thanks for sharing this easy recipe
I am allergic to dairy, so could i use coconut cream instead of the normal cream in this recipe? Really want to make it! :)
can you make another series? this is the concept, you'll find or subscribers will request any recipes found in PINTEREST. to test if its doable or not, or just to know if its delicious or not,.... perhaps upgrade an pinterest recipe. sounds great right? you're welcome!
ps: love you guys!
Love lemon tart! Look delicious!
Does taking the zest out change the acidity of the tart at the end?
No chopping board, no spring of mint. Ben, how did you survive? :D
That tart looks amazing, but what can I use to weigh down the pastry if I can't get my hands on on those baking beans?
How would you go about doing this and making them mini tarts?
could you show us how to make bakery style muffins (blueberry or choc chip)??
any alternatives to baking beans?
what if I don't have baking beads, what can I use as substitute?
Anyone know if I can use almond milk instead of regular milk? I LOVE lemon but my husband is lactose intolerant, and badly so. I really want to make this! Thanks!
is kind of egg tarts but use fruit juice , but the question is if the filling is runny , do I need to use thickener before I pour in to the tart ? because I think the filling will wet the short crush
I love lemon. Thank you.
How do you know how long to bake filling for. Mine splits after cooling :/
mine had a hint of egg taste. does this happen due to over cooking or should I use one less egg. Will it still set with one less egg?
Mike is gorgeous! The tart looked amazing as well, but mike is so yummy!
1. what's vanilla sugar?
2. what can I use instead of the baking beans ?
We have a tub of caster sugar that we cram vanilla pods in once we've used their seeds and infused liquids. Just wash them, dry them and store in the sugar. The whole tub of sugar takes on the vanilla aroma!
Any dried pea, chickpea, bean or lentil will work in place of baking beans.
Thank you so much !
coins will work better than baking beads
+SORTED Food I seem to recall hearing Mary Berry saying at some point that she uses uncooked dry pasta instead of baking beans when she's baking at home.
Raw Rice
is there any way you all could do a lemon icebox pie, its a southern united states thing, dont know if there is an equivalent in the uk
+Tristan Hoover Haven't heard of it! What is it?
Its kind of a no bake lemon pie, typically covered in meringue
its almost like a lemon no bake cheese cake
+Tristan Hoover lemon meringue pie?
love a good lemon tart!
Thank you guys for this amazing lemon tarte I think I should try it because it really seems delicious but can you please make strawberry tarte cause I really love strawberry!😊
one of my faves, looks soo good!
is there anything else i can on the pastry instead if the beans or whatever its called
For anyone following the recipe from the website, the filling can fill 3-4 pies. Halve of what they say will be plenty regarding the filling.
Got a 404 on the recipe link - any chance you could sort it?
Does anyone know what kind of zester they're using? I'm planning to buy on for my sisters birthday. (Help much appreciated!) :)
Can we use anything else to replace vanilla sugar????
No sprig of mint? My heart just sunk...
+Yujin Ju I wasn't allowed! :(
+SORTED Food I actually would agree - a sprig of mint is missing :( tart looks naked without it.
Just what i need!!!!
I am definitely making this. Maybe with some grapefruit too!
What if I did this with a biscuit base instead of a crumbly pastry? Could I sort it out?
Do we need gelatine to be stable the lemon
Please do something with scampi or seafood - I adore things like that!😘😋💚🍤
It is very interessting because the french recepe is very différent
how big is the tart mold pan?
I challenge you to make a full meal using Only ingredients in Barry's fridge.
+Joshua Walters are you James's brother? (HAHAHA sorry I just had to!)
+Joshua Walters OMG YALL SHOULD DO THAT whats IN barry's fridge first of all
this looks brilliant! I'm so going to try this!
I burned myself on a very hot pan making dinner last night. I didn't know what to do, and there's so many recommendations on what to do, but I want to know what you guys would
Do regarding a burn from the kitchen!
Btw, in my experience, it's easier to zest firm lemons, so the softening them up by rolling should be done post-grating.
Oh this looks delicious. I'm so gonna try this for my family around easter :) BTW, have you ever tried german sauerbraten? That sound like something you could have a lot of fun with :D
Can I use other citruses, like orange ? or even lime ?
Orange might lead to it being too sweet unless you adapt how much sugar you put in. Lime should work well. I also saw a comment that said passion fruit would be good. So I think those kinda sour tart flavours would work well in this.
A can't find the double cream in Italy what can I replace it with?
I tried the recipe, it taste really Good☺ 👌
can i make this tart using oranges?
