The mountain lions on these Utah paths within the last year haven't been too shy around humans. I know it's 2 incidents of a cougar stalking someone, but that would make me extra cautious out there.

Some kind of weapon is better than no weapon IMO I had encountered a pack of wolfs and my first instinct was to grab what ever leverage I could find laying around scary and dangerous but something is better than nothing

His lack of panic was a result of his carelessness for his own safety. He put his own life on the line for social media fame and there is nothing intelligent about that.

I really find it hard to sympathize for people in these situations because it’s like they lack common sense if your involved in any outdoor activities weather you think it’s a harmless activity or not you need to be prepared for any wild animal. I live in a nice neighborhood 4 of my neighbors are state police officers but yet I still carry my gun to take out the trash or check the mail. Some might say it’s pointless to arm yourself when you taking out the trash and I agree however I would rather have it and not need it then need it and not have it
