Flexor Hallucis Tenosynovitis

Hello, Dr. Pelto here. I'm going over today about a condition called Flexor Hallucis Tenosynovitis. I see many patients in the office with pain underneath their big toe joint and this pain goes around the backside of the foot. This could be Flexor Hallucis Tenosynovitis.

thanks for the material. I feel a lump like a small pea on my flexor hallucis in the arch of my foot. If I pull the flexor hallucis and drag something hard over it, such as a pencil, this “pea” is painful. The ultrasound doctor says he suspects it is tendonitis... When I just walk it doesn’t hurt, but if I start running, jumping, doing exercises, I often feel a feeling of tension and sharp pain at this point. What do you recommend? What to look for when choosing shoes? I'll be grateful if you answer!
