- One of my favourites,Mr.Gary Wright. Great at BB Kings, would of preferred to have been there with the person who this song reminds me of..someone very special. This concert was one day after our Anniversary 4/17/10..Such great memories ..XOXO
One of my favorite songs. The first time I heard it I immediately fell in love with it. Favorite line, "every time I see you it's the same thing all over again". Describes true love ❤. I have the CD and I play it all the time in my car. So many great artists are leaving us. Thank you Gary for such an amazing song

Gary first play this song on Merv Griffin’s show in 1981. I loved the radical, mobile synth bass he was playing then.

I used to hear this song when I was 10, running with my friends playing hide n seek, inside, and hearing this song. This was in 1983. Fast forward to 1996 I could hear the chorus in my mind (albeit I got the first line wrong: I remembered "I really wanna show you... I really wanna show you the way I feel."
I asked family members time and time again if they knew what the song was I was singing. I called radio stations, but they could not remember. Finally, in 2000 my cousin said he remembered some song I really want to know, know, know you," but I answered, "No. It went 'I really wanna SHOW..."
I couldn't stand it anymore!
In October, 2001, my cousin Paul looked on the internet. He typed in "I really wanna show you the way I feel," but got nothing. I remembered what my cousin said the previous year, and asked Paul to type in KNOW instead of 'show'.
I was so happy to hear this song after 17 years!

I've loved this from the very first time I heard it way back in '81. Great, great tune.
I consider it an honor to be there that Saturday evening to see Gary Wright perform live. I have been a big fan of his since 1976 ("Love Is Alive"), and I always wanted to see him in person. "Really Wanna Know You" was and still is my favorite song from The Right Place album. That album had other outstanding songs, such as "Love Is A Rose", "Heartbeat", and the title song "The Right Place". Thankyou Diamondkai for posting this !
Gary should re-release his first album.. Let the 'kids' know what real music is, no auto tune. Real good music here.

I remember this song being played alot on the radio going from Myrtle Beach to Savannah back on Sat July 18 1981.Sadly there was a tragedy the night before in Kansas City Mo where a hotel walkway collapsed killing alot of hotel guests.The UP radio news updates would talk about it at the top of every hour.

This was and still is my favorite song from a great album that had several super songs, such as 'Love Is A Rose", "I've Got The Feeling", Heartbeat" and the album title song "The Right Place". Back in 1981 I bought two copies of this album, which is hard to find today !!

walked into a Burger King in Lafayette Indiana I'm from Los Angeles I heard this song playing overhead I had ordered to go but when I heard the lyrics I had to sit down I had not heard this song in so long if this song came out in 81 then I was 21 then I recognized the singer as the same artist who sang Dreamweaver so I googled it and Gary Wright came up great song and a great live performance besides the singer I thought the band was right on cue

I went through a lot of trouble looking for this song on the internet. I had finally found it posted on UTube about a half year ago. Someone posted this song from the album that it came from. I don't remember the name of the album. But I remember being so happy to find it posted. Now it's not on UTube anymore and I wish someone would post it again. This live version is nice but I really love the original. I never get tired of it. It's so hauntingly beautiful. Unforgetable.

I really love this song. Great lyrics. Took me back to a slow dance I once shared with a beautiful woman. I never got her phone number. I just let her walk off. Never saw her again . Great to revisit that moment. Makes me wonder what could have been. Thanks for posting.

It was probably hard to play this song live and make it sound like the original one but they did a good job on it. The drummer is bad though. He's not keeping it in the pocket. This is a song that needs a pocket drummer.
