When I was an avid runner, a Nu Shooz CD and a Timex Ironman were all I had on me. Eight 5-minute miles in a row. The pace of the music was perfect for running. I see this video and now know why they never got that much exposure. While I definitely appreciate seeing them live, the arrangement of their music really screams for a band like the Roots to have a crack at it. I'm a big salsa guy, so it'd be awesome to see a band with some brass take on a song like this one and strip away all that 80s synthetic sound. That song deserves it.
The 335 slides into another classic. Say what you will about Gibson being accidentally successful with outside design on a lot of their brand, but that 335 was home grown and what a sweet guitar.

I was about to mention the snare!! thank god someone else notice it! usually on more pop songs like this not many musician comments and people praising mediocre performances so then sometimes i feel like a jackass calling things out like this haha But that snare is horrendous and the main bass line is hella buried in the mix
