Ibn `Abbas said, "Why do you ask the people of the scripture about anything while your Book (Qur'an) which has been revealed to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) is newer and the latest? You read it pure, undistorted and unchanged, and Allah has told you that the people of the scripture (Jews and Christians) changed their scripture and distorted it, and wrote the scripture with their own hands and said, 'It is from Allah,' to sell it for a little gain. Does not the knowledge which has come to you prevent you from asking them about anything? No, by Allah, we have never seen any man from them asking you regarding what has been revealed to you!" Brother Paul, I just stumbled on your Channel today. Am so happy to have done that. Your true, honest (with references) and comprehensive analysis is mind-blowing. As a former Christian, am so happy that I did find the true path in Islam. The Quran is haqq, the prophet is haqq and the last day is haqq. May Allah increase you in wisdom/ elm and health. Watching from Nairobi, Kenya on 19 Mar 2021
You're never believe the gospel to begin with, as a Christian we have eternal life, having been justified by Christ and now we're been sanctified daily by God to be more like Christ, John 3:16
Thank you again for your objective view, I can assure you that you are one of the few people who have done this. As you stated, Quran affirms the existence of all holly books before Mohammed PBUH, that were pure at one point in time in history. Also, Quran says that it was corrupted and corrects the stories and wrong beliefs that was done to the days of the prophet. Now the question is why. For a new religion to take over older religion, it should assure the previous beliefs rather than contradicts them radically. The answer is that God does not compromise, what is right is right. But instead of claiming it was corrupted only, the correction of all the issues was addressed in Quran. When we compare the stories of the Prophets in the Bible and Quran, its very obvious that the stories in Quran prevails Regards
This guy in this video doesn't know what he is talking about otherwise he would have figured out that the Qur'an in the Qur'an refers to the Law of Moses. Dear brother in Islam. Your topics are eye openers. Very interesting ,well thought out & researched. You are a very intelligent person. You don’t beat around the bush like many Christian scholars do, but analyze throughly your topics & present them in a simple ,logical way with evidence. Thanks. May Allah ( God Almighty ) bless you& your family.
The scholarly approach is highly commendable and definitely shines a light on contentious issues which divide the people of the book. May your work be an instrument of unity esp.in these most trying times when unity is the key to overcoming our greatest difficulties as one global community.
Hi Br. Paul, I highly advice you to utilize the description of your videos. In which you can write timestamps to indicate the subsections of your videos, and you need to write tags in the description in order to increase the chances of your video appearing to the people that don't know you. Thank you for your hard work Br. Paul.
Another great video brother Paul! May God reward you and grant you the resources to make many more videos like this one. I love the scholarship you bring on to the table of religious discussion. Very often it is missing from religious discussions.
Dear Paul, you may want to study quranic word musoddiq - مصدق that was specially used to define quranic roles against the biblical narratives, that were prevalent during the prophet era, and how it approves and disapproves many of them. Quran validate (musoddiq) some biblical narratives while explaining different facts, on the others. For example it validate the prophet by the name of Isa, not Jesus (totally a different name). It further tells that Isa was born alone with her mother in wilderness (no involvement of any male partner in that giving birth event such as Joseph role in the bible). Jesus on the other hand, was born in close shelter environment (guesthouse or barn etc), a total opposite to Isa. The jews claim they killed Jesus and the Christian believes it, but quran says Isa was never killed/crucified and ahlul kitaab during prophet time are in the state of confusion of whom was actually killed. So Isa of Quran and Jesus of Bible are of different personalities, era or geography, as Isa is a solid arabian prophet preceding prophet Muhammad of Arabia. Quran try to tell this difference but some scholars of Islam still in confusion while harping the same old theory that Isa is Jesus vice versa, in an apologetic manner, for being under pressure to comply with biblical narratives, because they dont have an explanations. In short quran validate some, while rejecting some of the biblical narratives that was considered under distortion like the biblical narratives such as drunk, naked, adultery and an incest prophet of god.
Always felt the Park wasn't fruitful for you Paul. You deliver potent coversation once given space to reply. Well balanced through the lens of Prophet Muhammad. Thanks
@@BloggingTheology Why don’t you show if the text of the Quran has been preserved? Since you like al Bukhari, you can inform us what happened to the quranic verses under Aishas pillow? Let’s see your bias flow!
My (amateur, basically instinctual) understanding of this conundrum has been that wherever the Quran diverges from the Torah or the Bible, particularly on historical events, it is a correction -- a divine edit, as it were, to set the record straight. Those are the portions that we are to consider as having been tampered with in the previous scriptures, which is why the details or points of information in the Quran appear a little ad hoc at times, as any list of edits might. Why was this required? Because it was fair. God always gives humans a fair chance to grasp the rope that will lead them down the straight path to Him. It does not suit His nature to do otherwise. The Quran is basically Him throwing us a line for the last time. Edit: Wrote my comment midway through the video. Reassured to see that you confirm this view towards the end.
Actually the translation we have today is debatable, because in principle there are differences that make it completely different.between what the Bible/ English translation is and what the verse of the quran means. quran : issa english: jesus quran : issa is human/prophet. english: jesus is human/God. quran: issa have injeel. english: jesus have gospel. quran: the follower of issa is nasrani. english: the follower of jesus is christian. only one injeel, and that the injeel of issa, and the gospel is a lot..(mark.luke,john, etc) and we dont have the gospel of jesus.. is injeel is the same as gospel? NO.. but if we translate into english the word, we dont have any choice right? is nasrani is the same christians? NO ,but if we translate into english the word, we dont have any choice right? that one reason why muslims and jews always rely on original text of their holy books.. yes u can translate its, but dont rely on translation for the religion.. coz u can always translate the original text, but if u translate the translation.. and keep doing so.. then u have (lost in translation) and u have much bigger problems if u lost the original text..coz u always read and rely on the translation one
THE QURAN IS ALSO, THE FURQAN (The Criterion - ...., 8:41, 21:48, 25:1) IT POINTS OUT WHERE THE SCRIBES OF THE PREVIOUS SCRIPTURES WENT WRONG. Therefore the scriptures of the People of the Book must viewed through the lenses of the Quran...
I guess it is not hate to call someone a "hate preacher". Am I a "hate preacher" for asking the following questions? What happened to the "original" Gospel, or the "original" scriptures in general? How come God was not able to preserve the "original" scriptures, yet God was able to preserve the Quran? Or, could it actually be that now as we know that Quran's message contradicts the Bible's message, the "explanation" is that the Bible must have been "corrupted"?
@Kizah Dek What unholy cult claims perfect preservation down to the LETTER? Why are we even debating this way without actually debating? What's yours point?
Hi Paul, Interesting topic, and thanks for your research. I agree with the findings of Dr. Griffith regarding the references of the Quran about the Bible and the Old Testament. Your last point regarding the crucifixion of Jesus which is a historical fact but rejected by the Quran needs a bit of explanation and the reason for such controversial denial should be searched in the Arabic words that describe the event. The verse reads: And [for] their saying, "Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, the messenger of Allah." And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him to them. And indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it except the following assumption. And they did not kill him, for certain. (4: 157) The word "resemble" in Arabic is Sho.be.ha and this word in various forms are used in 12 places in the Quran that clarifies the meaning of this word. For your reference: (6: 141): similarity, (2: 70): confusion, (3: 7): double meaning, (2: 118): obscured & opposite to clear, (39: 23): similarity, look-alike, (2: 25): likeness and similar, (13: 16): Similar & look alike. We know that Judas sold Jesus to a few Roman coins and he took them to his hideout, the garden of Gethsemane and since soldiers were not familiar with the look of Jesus, Judas told the soldiers to wait till he kisses the face of Jesus. from where Romans were watching judas and till they reach to him and Jesus, there should be a few seconds and we know the rest of the story, everyone ran away and they arrested Jesus and Judas was free to go. This is the moment that Quran marks it with the word Sho.be.ha, and that was Judas who was arrested with a face similar to Jesus and from that moment Jesus remained silent which in fact was the best opportunity to declare his mission and again from that moment Judas was disappeared and wishful thinking portrayed him hunged or dies in the field (Matthew 27:5). Reminds me of a movie called Face-off and when it comes to God, tricks and possibilities are endless. Jesus Waited for 3 days and then he appeared to his trusted ones and told them that I never died. He asked them to go and spread his words to the world. and the Quran mentions that he disappeared as we took him up. As per the Quran, he will come back and he will grow old and he will die. My understanding of the Quran is not based on my personal opinion but on Quranic language and historical events.
Very interesting analysis. Just one correction please. Quran does not say anywhere that Jesus will come back. It is implied by Muslims that he will come based on some narrations/ahadees of Mohammad Pbuh. The word Mutawafiq in quran has been subject to debate for centuries and based on hadees people translate into sleep whereas Quran itself when studied in isolation points towards death because this word has been used so many times in the Quran itself. Just a thought. Thank you
@@amnaaziz - I must offer my apologies in advance for flooding Paul's Vlog, so I keep it short. Jesus is one of the most powerful prophets of God, A man with miraculous birth, equipped with Roo.ul.Qudos (Holy Spirit). Regarding his death, I would like to break it into 3 steps. Cardinal Rule #1: Every living soul will taste death. (Maut - مُوت) (3: 185) Cardinal Rule #2: Referring to Quranic vocabulary we understand the difference between the unconscious state of the soul while still is connected to the body (وَفِّي), and the disconnected state of the soul and body (مُوت). I can explain the difference in minute details if necessary, but kindly take it is a Quranic fact for the time being. (3:55) - God says: "O Jesus, indeed I will make you sleep and raise you to Myself (َرَافِعُكَ إِلَيَّ) and purify you ... till the end of the verse. (ُتَوَفِّيكَ - this state of deactivation of the soul is similar to the incident of companions of the cave in Surat No. 18 & the incident of sleeping man mentioned in 2:259) The word (وَفِّي) is deliberately used to distinguish the status of Jesus who was put in sleep and raised to God, if he was dead, then the dead body should be buried according to the tradition of God and the soul is what usually ascend not the body. There's no point in raising a soul-less body to the heavens or any other place. (By searching for the Quranic meaning of (رفع - Raised) we find several references in Quran and one definition is to promote the position/degree of a person in a ranking system e.g.: promoting a minister to a prime minister.) a good example of the Hierarchy of prophets is in 2:253 (وَرَفَعَ بَعْضَهُمْ دَرَجَاتٍ - He raised some of them in degree) so apart from raising something like a wall, similar to what that Ibrahim & Ismaeel did, there's another form which we see that was applied to Jesus. Cardinal Rule #3: God knows where and when picks the right word to express his message. Here Jesus explaining an obvious point that he was born and he will die but here instead of using (sleeping mode of the soul - وَفِّي) God prefer to use (disconnection of the soul from the body - مُوت).and after his death like any other soul will have a resurrection on the day of judgment. Conclusion: Children of Israel claim: "Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, the messenger of Allah." God Correct them: And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; they have misunderstood the event. Jesus was meant to be saved and does it sound logical that after saving him, we killed or gave him death and took him up to ourselves?? This verse clarified the Jews assumptions about killing Jesus and the very next Verse clarifies our assumptions regarding his death: "Rather, Allah raised him to Himself. And ever is Allah Exalted in Might and Wise." [4:158] which means they didn't kill him and we saved him, and Jesus says that I will die, so he will be back to die and be raised on the day of judgment. He was born as a miracle - lived as a miracle of God - did miracles during his mission and was saved miraculously by God himself and will come back to complete his mission and like any other soul, he will die.
@Yassin Zao I would be cautious, because there are Sahih hadith from the prophet Muhammad SAW regarding this topic. www.bayanelislam.com/Suspicion.aspx?id=03-02-0076 The return of Jesus is logical because the question about his true identity is the thing which splits monotheism. But at the End Allah only knows the truth.
Your are doing a great work and comming up with sound knowledge and intellect and watch few videos of you and the recent one Jesus for christen discussions on book with professor in Cand. Now watching this video it give me feeling that Quran version is matching with your discussions in the afore mentioned topic Jesus for christen
The assertion that the author(s) of the Quran were even aware of what the Bible said to be in any position to know what they were affirming or denying is just silly as far as I can see. The entire thing is mixed signals and vagueness based on ignorance. There is no distinction between Biblical writings, apocryphal writings, oral traditions outside of the Bible, and even Gnostic stories. While this hadith you've pinned seems to indicate that Muslims believed the Bible was corrupt I've certainly heard sheikhs claim that this hadith refers only to the meaning of the Bible. Still in Sunan Abu Dawud there is a hadith where Muhammad takes a pillow and puts the Torah on it and says that he believed in it and in God who sent it. This is very strange behavior from someone believing the Torah is corrupt and practically worthless.

Exactly . The Quran says about the Taurah and Injeel given to the earlier messengers and not the so called bible . And that Taurah and injeel were the books that were Authentic and not a handy work while the bible of today is a handy work . And In fact Allah says that Quran is revealed that protects the teachings of the Taurah and Injeel.
No sir, this is the misconception of many Muslim. Injil is no bible & bible is not Injil of the Quran. In the Quran, injil was given to Jesus or Isa a.s. But the New Testament of the bible is a collection of 27 books written by different authors and 4 of them were written by Mark, Luke, Mathew & John. It include letters by Paul which writtened much earlier then Mark,Luke, Mathew & John & 20 years after Jesus no more walk on earth. Only Allah knew where the injil is but the bible went through corrections even until modern times.
The verse in Arabic says , 'confirming what is in his hands' and not' what has been revealed before it ' . The question is whose hands the Quran is talking about and what is in his hands . The Torah and the Injeel in this verse are not related here to what is in the hands
Dear Paul, thank you for your work on BT its great to uoknowledge oneself. Could you please look into the Quran's/Islamic claim that the Quran clarifies the message of God to mankind as the scripture at the time had been.... influenced. Are there clear examples of this before the revelation of the Quran? Or was this found after the Quran was revealed? If the Quran came to the Arabs and addressed issues for the Abrahamic people then how is it a message to the whole of mankind? Hope you can explore these questions. If these have been covered could you then point me in the right direction. Keep up the striving.
Why didn't Allah swt mention the akhira in the Tawrat? Surely not all the akhira verses had got lost through a blind/random (as opposed to conspiratorial) process of textual corruption/loss :/
Quran 5:13-15 "But for breaking their covenant We condemned them and hardened their hearts. *They distorted the words of the Scripture* and *neglected a portion of what they had been commanded to uphold.* You ˹O Prophet˺ will always find deceit on their part, except for a few. But pardon them and bear with them. Indeed, Allah loves the good-doers. And from those who say, "We are Christians" We took their covenant; but *they forgot a portion of that of which they were reminded.* So We caused among them animosity and hatred until the Day of Resurrection. And Allah is going to inform them about what they used to do. O People of the Book! Now Our Messenger has come to you, *revealing much of what you have hidden of the Scriptures* and *disregarding much.* There certainly has come to you from Allah a light and a clear Book."
@@BloggingTheology If idribuhoona means to STRIKE physically then the early scholars cannot change the word of God. We have to consider the metaphorical use of the word. There are some Arab tribes in North Africa who actually use the word in a metaphorical manner and if this fact is presented as part of the reasoning for why the early scholars did not take the term literally then nobody should accuse either them nor the Mercy to the Worlds of compromising the verse to suit their own tender meekness. The Mercy to the Worlds never hit his wives, though they frustrated him on a few occasions, but rather, he left the house for a time (a striking of a metaphorical manner that some North Africans would understand).
The main differences in today's modern era, is the people's *interpretations* of the Bible..ie: your comment, 'there are verses in the bible 'IN MY VIEW' which do say Jesus is devine'. However, there are no passage in the bible where Jesus says the words ' I am Divine, I am the Divine, or I am the Son of the Divine'. The true differences is in how the different nations (even between Christains and Catholics) on the interpretation. The Bible is vague in the divinity of Jesus and the reader interprets passages of the bible based on the teachings of their parents, churches, and communities. A person perceives their world and interprets the text of their holy books based on their personal paradigm....IMO, The Quran never contradicts the Bible...instead, it reinforces parts that are clear and clarifies the parts that are vague and passages that might have been misinterpreted, or mistranslated by ancient religious scholars and monks. This opinon is my own and I mean no disrespect to either book. I teach my children both the Quran and the Bible....especially parts in the Bible where God speaks, the prophets speak, and parts where Jesus speaks. I had an aunt and uncle were from the Silent Generation (Great Depression Era). I my aunt was a Muslim, and my uncle was a Christian. I would spend a lot of time talking to my uncle to learn more about his generation and more about Christianity. There were no major differences in religious beliefs. However, I feel like as time marched on, people's interpretation of their religions and religious texts changed. Compare an evangelical beliefs today vs 100 years ago.....you'll understand what I mean :)
so where does this leave the Torah? was the torah corrupted before Jesus? What torah did jesus follow? If the Torah was also revealed to all the prophets that would include Jesus, if this is true then that would mean that at the time of jesus, the Torah was still uncorrupted right?
hear that? God gave Jesus the gospel .. now .. do Christians in these days have the gospel of Jesus? or do they use another gospel? If not, then the Bible/gospel we have today is not the gospel mentioned in the qoran, also we have so many gospel and only 4 end up on the bible.. on qoran the original word is injeel, and injeel is only given to issa (aka jesus). and the follower of issa is nashrany.. not christians

Certainly the revelation that God gave to His messenger would not be filled with the live account of what happened or what will happened to him or to the extreme what letters will be written by someone who will be mistakenly claims that he is god. As a messenger, surely there should be a clear message that he was supposed to deliver to his people. As a messenger of god he will surely, without fail, had delivered the message he was assigned to deliver. And importantly, he never make any claim of his divinity and never asked his people to worship himself. All the attributes of his divinity and call to worship him was made by people other than himself. NOW, DO WE BELIEVE HIM OR DO WE BELIEVE OTHER PEOPLE BESIDE HIM?

Quran came in later century to *stand as validator (مصدق)* over the previous scriptures and narratives that were prevailing at the time of Muhammad. Quran does not provide a blanket endorsement over all the biblical narratives either during prophet time or after his era. The validation technique here is that, Quran only endorse only the part of the biblical narratives while ignoring the others. The usage of word مصدق is a strong word that depicts quran as a validation tool and de facto standard. Any narratives that were not validated by quran is considered, questionable and of no longer an important matters or most likely a forgery inserted in prevailing biblical versions.
The gospel Paul preached is the same Jesus preached. Read Galatians final few chapters, and you will see that they are vertically same as the Sermon on the mount by Jesus. Also read 1Timothy 2:5 which clearly states that we cannot get to heaven, without accepting Jesus as our savior.

May I ask how certain you are that the Quran actually denies the crucifixion of Jesus? My interpretation of Islam is that it was significantly influenced by the ebionitrs, particularly in Islam in its anti-Paul position which makes no sense from an Islamic position that they would give any concern about Paul at all. But as a cousin of Mohammed being an Ebionite, Mohamed would care about it because his cousin cares about it. So it seems to me that Mohammed would normally want to agree with his cousins positions about Christianity, which would be anti-pool but also accepting of the crucifixion. It appears also just too obvious that if Jesus Christ didn’t get killed somehow, whether it’s by crucifixion or some other means, then he would’ve Live to an old age. But this would never explain how 12 men got excited enough to spread themselves all over the world preaching the death and resurrection of Jesus as part of their gospel. I am no fan of Paul, so I am a relic myself, holding to the beliefs of the rbionites. I was disappointed to learn that the Quran is that certain that Jesus did not have a crucifixion. Is it possible when you say Quran that it doesn’t mean Mohamed said it, but somebody else’s words ended up in the Quran? Just wondering. I love your channel, and you are very thorough and present things clearly and articulately, and have a gentle spirit. thank you very much
What I understand is that Qur'an acknowledges that Jesus (peace be upon him) was almost crucified but God saved him at the eleventh hour unbeknownst to the people.
4:157 And [for] their saying, "Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus the son of Mary, the messenger of Allāh." And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him to them. And indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption. And they did not kill him, for certain.
Galatians 1:8. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
First of all; The Quran isn’t a “gospel”, the gospel (which means Good News) was the message Jesus preaching during his 1st coming and the message was about the coming kingdom of God on earth. Secondly; Paul was a liar, the things he said about the future didn’t come to pass & he admitted to lying to get converts.
The fact or not if Jesus was crucified cannot be part of the message to Jesus. Unless there was a resurection and Jesus was given a message after that to be part of the Anjeel. Which clearly is not there, in fact is to the contrary. What Paul says or anyone else says could be a history but not message of God. Which part of this is hard to understand. Quran is only confirming the message given to Jesus. Do you believe it is all intact? And is not changed. It is not even in the original language for God sake. And every translator made changes to it. Quran is just stating the truth.
How the Gospel can be true if it says that Jesus was crucified, which as you say the Gospel states that as a fact. Yet the Gaspel was revealed to Jesus. One can only deduce that this "Fact" was written after Jesus' supposed death, which makes the Gaspel altered and null and void. Muslims believe in the Gospel that was revealed to Jesus, but not what they , the Christians, have between their hands. You have said in previous video, that Mark wrote the Gospel. however, Mathew and others changed it. Again, The Gospel as we know it has been altered thus it is null and void. However, like anything else that it has been falsified it may contain some truths. But it is not the whole truth. That is logic!
Why would God the Most Gracious the Most Merciful torture his prophet(according to Islam), or his son (according to christianity), and why would God the Supreme Just sacrifice the same person ,(or allow him to be sacrificed),for the sins of others?. All Mighty does not contradict himself through actions that differ from his holy being.
@@montaser9985 you misunderstood what I wrote. I meant that he is a prophet according to Islam and he is called the son of God according to Christians. God is the most merciful would not torture his messenger nor would he accept that the messenger be sacrificed for the sins of others. Every person is responsible for his or her act because God is Just.

Dèar Paul, You can't never understand the truth of the Bible withouth reading the Qur'an and Allah give you the guidance. It's very clear in many verses in the Quran that the truth is from Allah Himself, not from any other that He doesn't give the guidance. So, please read the Qur'an and follow Allah's guidance therein ! May Allah guide you in the straight path ! Alhamdulillah !
The Bible was tampered with. Obviously you could tell it's written as a history book, not a revelation of God like the Quran, where God tells what He did or will do and how He treated ancient people, what He thinks of old prophets etc.
No, by Allah, we have never seen any man from them asking you regarding what has been revealed to you!"

Muslims are fortunate to be Muslims and have brothers like brother Paul! Allah bless you and all our converts/reverts brothers
Quran endorses zabur,Torah, and Injeel the original texts and not the bible as we have it today with so many added verses and so many contradictions
Nether does the quran ever say that there was ever a different bible nor does it say that the previous books of Allah swt are changed or unreliable
Brother Paul Shukran this is very interesting topic and knowledge. May Allah reward you for all the good deeds.
When we compare the stories of the Prophets in the Bible and Quran, its very obvious that the stories in Quran prevails

Thanks
Thanks

Great work, keep it up
Actually the translation we have today is debatable, because in principle there are differences that make it completely different.between what the Bible/ English translation is and what the verse of the quran means.
quran : issa
english: jesus
quran : issa is human/prophet.
english: jesus is human/God.
quran: issa have injeel.
english: jesus have gospel.
quran: the follower of issa is nasrani.
english: the follower of jesus is christian.
only one injeel, and that the injeel of issa, and the gospel is a lot..(mark.luke,john, etc) and we dont have the gospel of jesus..
is injeel is the same as gospel? NO.. but if we translate into english the word, we dont have any choice right?
is nasrani is the same christians? NO ,but if we translate into english the word, we dont have any choice right?
that one reason why muslims and jews always rely on original text of their holy books.. yes u can translate its, but dont rely on translation for the religion..
coz u can always translate the original text, but if u translate the translation.. and keep doing so.. then u have (lost in translation) and u have much bigger problems if u lost the original text..coz u always read and rely on the translation one
THE QURAN IS ALSO, THE FURQAN

thank you so much for this video. It kept getting confused on the qurans stance on the bible but you perfectly explained it
It would have been helpful if he cited a single Quranic verse.
Excellent analysis. Well explained and important distinction of truth.
Glad you liked it
Thank you Paul for your work. This is such a common argument among the Christian hate preachers. Glad I follow you on twitter.
@Kizah Dek So, your answer is just asking the same question? I was NOT asking or questioning what happened to the original Quran.
@Kizah Dek What unholy cult claims perfect preservation down to the LETTER? Why are we even debating this way without actually debating? What's yours point?
@Kizah Dek I still don't know what you are talking about. Can you answer any of the simple questions I asked in the first post?
@Kizah Dek I can't even tell what you're espousing. What is your stance?
Hi Paul, Interesting topic, and thanks for your research. I agree with the findings of Dr. Griffith regarding the references of the Quran about the Bible and the Old Testament.
Your last point regarding the crucifixion of Jesus which is a historical fact but rejected by the Quran needs a bit of explanation and the reason for such controversial denial should be searched in the Arabic words that describe the event.
The verse reads:
And [for] their saying, "Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, the messenger of Allah." And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him to them. And indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it except the following assumption. And they did not kill him, for certain. (4: 157)
The word "resemble" in Arabic is Sho.be.ha and this word in various forms are used in 12 places in the Quran that clarifies the meaning of this word.
My understanding of the Quran is not based on my personal opinion but on Quranic language and historical events.
very interesting!
Cardinal Rule #1:
Every living soul will taste death. (Maut - مُوت) (3: 185)
Cardinal Rule #2:
Referring to Quranic vocabulary we understand the difference between the unconscious state of the soul while still is connected to the body (وَفِّي), and the disconnected state of the soul and body (مُوت).
18 & the incident of sleeping man mentioned in 2:259)
The word (وَفِّي) is deliberately used to distinguish the status of Jesus who was put in sleep and raised to God, if he was dead, then the dead body should be buried according to the tradition of God and the soul is what usually ascend not the body.
Cardinal Rule #3:
God knows where and when picks the right word to express his message.
Here Jesus explaining an obvious point that he was born and he will die but here instead of using (sleeping mode of the soul - وَفِّي) God prefer to use (disconnection of the soul from the body - مُوت).and after his death like any other soul will have a resurrection on the day of judgment.
Conclusion:
Children of Israel claim: "Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, the messenger of Allah."
God Correct them: And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; they have misunderstood the event.
Jesus was meant to be saved and does it sound logical that after saving him, we killed or gave him death and took him up to ourselves??
This verse clarified the Jews assumptions about killing Jesus and the very next Verse clarifies our assumptions regarding his death:
"Rather, Allah raised him to Himself.

@@adeyudhi164 yes

Why didn't Allah swt mention the akhira in the Tawrat? Surely not all the akhira verses had got lost through a blind/random (as opposed to conspiratorial) process of textual corruption/loss :/
Quran 5:13-15
"But for breaking their covenant We condemned them and hardened their hearts.

Did Christian call their holy book Injeel since the very beginning? Did they recognize the name Injeel?
I came across a person made same argument.
So, i asked him:
Which version of the bible do u think was actually referred in quran...?
Which ever version says that Jesus was curicified
Asalamualikum brother Paul
Salam!
so where does this leave the Torah? was the torah corrupted before Jesus? What torah did jesus follow? If the Torah was also revealed to all the prophets that would include Jesus, if this is true then that would mean that at the time of jesus, the Torah was still uncorrupted right?
You are great researchers
What about gospal of Judas my friend I am from Pakistan I am also like you in the field of research I did masters in history and religion
Love your videos brother... May Allah bless you
thanks!
Mr Paul This is very Helpful thank you and i Hope you' Carry on the Good work
Another book for Mohammed Shahror

But bet hard to get conclusions of these books

According to Quran Gospel of Jesus
Is way different than The Book of John or Mathew or Mark !
That's what ever muslim believes..

11:00 The Quran confirms the very Gospel that was at the time of the Prophet when uses the expresion "bayn yadayh", between the hands. It's confirming the Gospel in the hands of the christians.
*_What you read in the Noble Quran is the word of Allah, the lord of the worlds, which he has conveyed to you in a human language, only because of his infinite mercy and care and providence for you. This act of divine mercy is enough to awe and overwhelm you and inspire you to ever greater heights of gratitude, yearnings and endeavours to enter the world of the Noble Quran._*

Well done
The gospel Paul preached is the same Jesus preached. Read Galatians final few chapters, and you will see that they are vertically same as the Sermon on the mount by Jesus. Also read 1Timothy 2:5 which clearly states that we cannot get to heaven, without accepting Jesus as our savior.
The Qur'an in the Qur'an refers to the Law of Moses. If you couldn't figure out that the title on the cover of the book is a fraudulent one, then it's safe to argue that you don't understand the context nor can you make sense of the polemical exchanges within its pages.
"We have given you the 7 oft-repeated verses and the glorious Qur'an..."
Translation:
We have given you the Fatiha and the Law of Moses as the basis for your legislations in rejection of the Roman Law, the papal sacraments, and Trinity.

Hebrews 4:12. For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Its amazing how one can claim to follow the Tanakh can say the ABD'ELLAH MUHAMMAD SAW was not a Prophet!
His mission was literally to turn every living soul into a follower of Musa AS and implement the Shariah of Dawud AS on the entire globe.
The miracle of our beloved prophet Muhammad SAW was his life and his prophecies about the End Times.
Paul great work you're a sincere gentleman ♥️
If you read the present *Gospels* you could see Jesus preaching *one and only gospel* in Aramaic which had been revealed to him by Almighty...
not much difference between sinaiticus and king james version. which bible confirmed by quran?. if it's slightly more original than sinaiticis, was it's contents complied quran?
None of them
The one confirmed by the quran is what Jesus received
Al-Mā’idah: 46
(46) And We sent, following in their footsteps,[267] Jesus, the son of Mary, confirming that which came before him in the Torah; and We gave him the Gospel, in which was guidance and light and confirming that which preceded it of the Torah as guidance and instruction for the righteous.
[267]- i.e., following the tradition of the prophets of the Children of Israel.
The NT does mention Jesus preaching the Good news
Whatever that is
That is what the quran confirms
Not mark luke John and so on

That's in the context of ruling and laws for jews and christians in a muslim land, Islam gives them the freedom to rule (in terms of laws between them) based on what they have and what they believe in [even if it's corrupted, but they believe in it] (since they don't believe in the Qur'an) because most probably they won't like to apply the islamic sharia on them.

Qur'an is so clear a bout bible and he say that old bible write by people not from Allah and that people use some words from Allah that is all .it is like u write a book about Christianity and use some phrases form bible is that mean your book is the bible or it is contain some phrases from the bible ? and that about old bible . but the new bible Quran didn't say any thing a bout it because the new bibles written 1000 years after the Qur'an
According to Hadiths, before the end of time,⌛ the true Gospels📜 that were disappeared during Jesus's time it will be found by muslims in Palestine ( i think it's in The Sea of Galilee!?) and because of that many Christians will become Muslims obviously they will know the truth about Christ at that time🖼️

Sometimes I get confused with brother Paul he brings many questions posed by missionaries but his answers are confusing citing different books either with or against and he may do harms to Islam than good of course unintentionally
can you give an example?
@@BloggingTheology
Brother Paul like in this video.your answer is vague but in the Quran the answer is clear with the many Hadith confirming that the Bible and the Torah mentioned in the Quran are those revealed to them in there time of course sometimes the Ayat in particular subject can be contradictory with the other one
You have gather all the Ayats in one subject with the sounds Hadith to have complete understanding.
I said this as part of Muslim should counsel his brother for the love of Allah.
For it really does not matter because in whose name the revelation of the Qur’an is given?
Allah. The almighty
Does the Qur'an endorse the Bible?
No, the Bible is not mentioned in the Qur'an, but it fully endorses both the Torah and the Gospels as long as they are authentic, that is uncorrupted!
Judaism, Christianity, and Islam are ONE AND THE SAME RELIGION, but with some differences or disagreements!
BAFS
this is the worst fallacy they make
first....the Quran said that Solomon never worshiped Idols nor did Aaron make the Bal....so the Quran tells the OT is corrupted
then the Quran tells that Jesus was never killed nor crucified....so the NT is also corrupted
end of discussion
Aren’t they OT and NT corrupted?
Contradictions between many verses of some chapter in Bible made Moslem believe or Qur'an statement say that the Bible is not true absolutely Injeel anymore.

I love your channel, and you are very thorough and present things clearly and articulately, and have a gentle spirit. thank you very much
All the religions including Non-Missionary Christians agree that Missionaries are not so rational
At times , human can be so stupid over a simple proven truth
Mainly preaching"I'm only here ....... For the lost sheep of Israel"(ignorants arrogants)

St Paul wrote the galatians.he has never met Jesus n wasn't appointed a prophet by god. That's why we reject Christianity claim that Jesus is god.
First of all;
The Quran isn’t a “gospel”, the gospel (which means Good News) was the message Jesus preaching during his 1st coming and the message was about the coming kingdom of God on earth.
Secondly;
Paul was a liar, the things he said about the future didn’t come to pass & he admitted to lying to get converts.
Wherever the Bible doesn't contradict itself
Great
the Quran began as a Christian text, about Jesus.
Wrong the injil (Bible) never says that jesus (PBUH) was god plus there are christians who believe he was only a human being
How the Gospel can be true if it says that Jesus was crucified, which as you say the Gospel states that as a fact.
Sorry, what was the name of the book you read? So i could get one
I have added details of the texts I read in the description above.

Why would God the Most Gracious the Most Merciful torture his prophet(according to Islam), or his son (according to christianity), and why would God the Supreme Just sacrifice the same person ,(or allow him to be sacrificed),for the sins of others?. You can't never understand the truth of the Bible withouth reading the Qur'an and Allah give you the guidance.
It's very clear in many verses in the Quran that the truth is from Allah Himself, not from any other that He doesn't give the guidance.
So, please read the Qur'an and follow Allah's guidance therein !

The Bible was tampered with. Obviously you could tell it's written as a history book, not a revelation of God like the Quran, where God tells what He did or will do and how He treated ancient people, what He thinks of old prophets etc.
