    Why does everyone of these conversations have to circle around anplayers NHL career being very short? So the average age today in the NHL is 23-24, you spend two full years in the show making $775k league minimum, lose half to taxes and fees, you’re still have 500-700k at the age of a grad student with the possible option to still playing pro hockey for 80-100k per year.
    When was it ever agreed upon that players never have to work again after retirement while the rest of the suckers buying tickets have to work until they’re 65+?
    This is the modern day player obviously.
