I'm a Ford guy when it comes to tractors. We had a small tobacco farm in North Carolina. Father and Grandfather bought an 8N the year I was born. It was the only tractor until I bought a 3910 II in '89. Now a cousin owns the tractor and farm.
I remember as a child of 5 year's we used cattle to farm land, so I've never seen a motorised viehcle in my life unlit one day I heard this noise on the farm and it was this ford tractor. I was so shocked to see a metal being with big wheels making a thunderous sound ,I loved it to bits.
Hi Mike, Really like the way you structure your channel content, you're a favorite farm personality to me. Grew up in McGraw - Moved away, nice to have a connection to near home & the way I grew up dairy. Best wishes!
Omg it was priceless. He texted his dad saying "oh he gets to use the new tractor " then we told him I was getting his Hough Farm shirts that just came in 😀😀
Nice video. We have a fleet of older smaller fords at work and some have taken a pretty good beating. We have a 5000,4000, 2-4600s, 340 industrial, 3400 gasser and a 2910. They're great little workhorses and simple to work on. That 5000 used to be the planter tractor and pulled a 4row jd 7000 conservation you def knew that planter was there when you got into dome heavy ground.
I agree, I've alway's been a John Deere guy, but the old Fords are my second favorite. I was up to my JD dealer a week ago and they had on the lot a nice Ford 7710 Gen 2 FWD with cab. The only negative complaint I ever heard about a Ford tractor was back when they for a time had the select o speed transmission. Never knew anyone that had good luck with one of those.
Yes Mike this one is better with the old school blue. Definitely a good trade 8600 for the Tw15. 7700s are good utility tractors we have 2 of them also. Shitty part on ours is the dont start below 50 unless there plugged in. Our Ford fleet consists of 8830 TW20 2 - 7700s and a 5000. We also had a 6600 at one time too. Liked that tractor. It got traded for the other 7700.
mikep7810 I like the 8830. Our first and only tractor with a powershift and FWA. I've been wanting to do a video on it but haven't gotten around to it. Tell ya what l'll make that video later this week I haven't made a video in a while been busy.
I mike cool fords, got a question for you can take your time answering it,how do you calculate your crops and know how much by math what your outcome will be for your crops? ive never had to estimate the crop math stuff, just curious, and are other farmers more accurate or no?thanks have a good one later mike.
I dont think you can predict or calculate the outcome of any crop. You dont know how the weather will be or if animals get into it or something like that
I work on a dairy in Tenn.and they use Ford and Nee Holland here. They have a 7700 bought new in 1976 and a T.W 10 bought in 1982 and version other model and have a 3594 Case International.
Small world. Yes, that's the farm my mom grew up on and a few miles away is where my dad grew up. The farm my dad grew up on is now a bunch of houses. My dad use to milk cows on a farm over by the fairgrounds
When i see these older tractors still working, I wonder how many 4020 JD diesels they would sell if they were to start making them again, same basic tractor, without any computers ect. My bet is that they would sell a ton of them. Best all around 100 hsp tractor ever made, especially the last ones with the side consol hydraulics.
I think he enjoyed making the video so he is going to make his own RUclips channel. I'll make sure to give people updates when its up. You can find him on there
If I was down there when they were chopping hay I definitely would. Maybe I'll try to get down there when he is chopping corn and putting silage in the bunker silo
It was great I got to see some cousins that I haven't seen in 20 years also got to see my uncles and aunts that I haven't seen in a couple years almost 200 of us

Great Video Mike, Fords are my passion, Dad owned a couple of fordsons, a 4000, 3000 & 4600, and I owned a 5000, thanks for sharing
Glad you enjoyed the video. They are great old tractors
I love Fords! Thanks for the tour
They have always been my 2nd favorite behind John Deeres
Reminds me of going to grandpa's farm. Thanks for sharing. My favorite color is blue because of the Ford tractors he had.
Growing up that was my grandfather's farm and his blue tractors so same as me

Those are some good stories right there. Great memories
Nice group of tractors, and it's good to see your cousin is interested in farming.
Thank you, I'm glad he is interested in it too
Great video. I use to have a 1990 7710 4x4. It was identical to that tw. It was an awesome tractor. Never let me down
He use to have a 7710 4wd that he always used on the manure spreader but he had just traded it right before this video
Nice ford tractor tour. Thanks for taking us along.👍🏻
Thanks for coming along on the tour

I really appreciate the feedback. Glad I can be a connection to your old town. I've driven through McGraw many of times growing up
I'm 14 and my dad has his grandpa's ford 4600 su which my dad learned on as a kid. Now I am learning how to drive it and the tractor is 44 years old!
Thats awesome! Cherish that tractor. Those kind of stories don't happen very often anymore
I can only imagine how pissed Steve was that you tedded first with that tractor, lol
Omg it was priceless. He texted his dad saying "oh he gets to use the new tractor " then we told him I was getting his Hough Farm shirts that just came in 😀😀
I do like Fords..Easy to work on. In Ireland
They are some nice old tractors
Nice Ford's we use to run 76 hundreds they are great tractors.
We use to have a 7600 when I was a kid
Nice to met you cousin Steven next time gives a tour of your all's farm and Mike the 89-TW15 is a work horse and keep videos coming.
I broke it up into 2 videos. The tour of his farm is the next video
I really miss the Ford tractors 🚜 😢 😪 😕.
They were good tractors
Very nice Ford tractors, I wish they were still in production
I agree. That would be cool to see what they would look like today if they were still just ford tractors
mikep7810 I have that all the time in my mind, I just thank people that still operate and restore Ford tractors,
Yeah its nice to see these old tractors still going
Very nice love Ford tractors
Thanks, they are great looking tractors
god gave the farmer the john deere then he corrected his mistake and mad ford =D i love our 8210 a real power monster
Those old TWs are pretty sharp looking tractors
Grew up on a 8600, spent many hours on one. And a tw-25 & 35

I heard the transmissions can be temperamental. The 7700 and the rest of that series shifted really nice. The 8600 was interesting to drive
I've seen these 8600-9600 Fords being able to keep up with the IH 1066s and JD 4430s at the tractor pulls..
They sure can
I do like seeing blue rigs! There's quite a few Fords by me.
They are some beautiful machines, especially the TWs
I forgot how many tractors do you have?
These are my uncle's Ford tractors. We have 6 John Deeres on our farm
