dunno if you guys cares but if you are stoned like me during the covid times you can watch all of the latest movies on InstaFlixxer. Have been binge watching with my gf for the last few days :)
With the licor 43 you can make Mexican carajillo (slightly different than the Spanish version). 2 parts coffee, 1 part licor 43. Shake with ice cubes! You won’t regret it 👌🏽
About doing stuff every day and hoping to not stop: first, i'm not good at doing that. I distract myself a lot. But when i did last year's inktober and I missed a day (happened three times) I knew that i just had to do two drawings the day after. Yes, i "failed", but i also knew how to "pardon" myself. And how to go back on track! Which is super important.
February 15, 2021- It's snowing here in central/south Texas, which is a rarity for us. There are 6 inches of snow (12 in some places) and it's the fluffy kind unlike the icy/packing kind that we usually get- if we even get snow.
The snow is so pretty! Where I live it never snows :) AHHH I am SO excited because I am finally going to go to a bookstore AND a library! It has been SO SO long since I last went to a bookstore, so I am bubbling with excitement right now! And believe it or not, I have never been to a proper library! Crazy, I know! But the thing is, I don’t really have libraries where I live, so going to one isn’t very easy.
Sprouts are a lot cheaper if you grow them yourself! It's super easy! You can get the seeds at health food stores (ekoplaza?). I can really relate to the creative slump. And I'm in a reading slump on top of it atm. The snow on my roof insulated the shit out of my flat and it was so warm omg it was amazing. I think it's gone from my roof though, it has been slowly melting for the past couple of days.
I actually have been mixing up my workout. I still do one everyday but I make a choice between Yoga, ballet or zumba. I noticed that doing the same thing everyday lowers my interest a bit. Mixing it up has really helped me keep it up~!
haha what a coincidence. I bought Licor43 last week and in my wednesday reading vlog I made Barraquito (a coffee popular in Tenerife) that uses Licor43. Now I have something else to make with it ;)
Ah you’re the best!! I sat down to feed my kitten her dinner and (since it’s usually a bit of a process when she’s got her cone on) I was looking for a booktube video to relax with and got notified of this video! Wonderful timing🥰❤️
Loved this vlog! So calming and cozy, your content is always so relaxing to me and makes me feel super calm when I’ve had a crazy day 😊 cannot wait for more vlogs in the future! Hope you’re able to go out and enjoy the snow more! ❄️❄️❄️
even though i’m still in high school (i live in america) and i have plenty of space to do yoga, i find it incredibly relatable when you did yoga in a tiny space
Your vlogs are so stunning. Goals!! Loved your art. I have only recently heard of those digital drawing thingys. I would have NO idea what I'm doing haha. Your lunch looked delicious!!
I love these day in the life style vlogs! :) I've been trying to do Yoga with Adriene every day this year as well! I started off really well, but then that fun time of the month hit and that ruined everything (doesn't it always 😭). I've now picked it up again after two weeks of not doing it and it immediately feels wonderful again, so I'm going to really try and stick with it now! :) It's such a nice way to care for your body and mind in this weird time.
i've also started doing yoga in 2021 ! i gave myself 2 pass days- 1 day on the weekend when i sleep in and the first day of cramps lol works out well so far! 😂
I've been watching your videos for a while, for some reason you make me feel calm hahaha, and now that I saw you learning Spanish I felt super happy and thought, maybe one day we can talk to each other. Love youuuu :3
Bell's books is awesome and very introductory, I recommend. She has a book called "feminism is for everybody" and I love it, you will like it too. Kisses from Brazil
I love your videos. It was nice to figure out that you're learning Spanish with Duolingo, meanwhile I'm trying to improve my English watching your videos. Have you ever read a book from Anne Rice?
Hello! I recently(ish) found you and let me say that I just enjoy the content and ended up subscribing and just been binge-watching all your stuff recently! It's a neat look at other countries and how things are compared to mine. Your style is gorgeous, the book taste is cool! I actually recently bought Priory of the Orange tree because it sounded so good from how you said and I love big books!
when you filled your cup with hot water for your tea and didn't hold the string of the teabag I was like: "that twabag would have totally already fallen into the water, if that was me" and thena it hppened to you as well hh
Estas aprendiendo español! 💜 I really enjoy the vlog and the tips for the "yoga callenge" because I'm trying to do some kind of excercise in this quarentine. Anyway you're vlog It's lovely as always, love from one Latin American viewer✨.
11:20-11:25 felt that. Also, in these videos it always looks like that you have stuff figured out in your life and that, in general, you have no problems to DO the stuff that you need to do in time, so it's almost strange to hear that you sometimes struggle with this feelings of failure.s I should probably at least write down again every time I do stuff, so i can keep track of that and see that i'm, too, not a failure.
It’s so cold in the Netherlands right now so I understand your opinion about the cold and the snow it’s amazing. Hood Feminism is an amazing feminist non fiction in my opinion
You could also read Feminism, interrupted. It talks about how women in minorities are excluded from mainstream, white, feminism and some of the chapters include discussions about prostitution, transmisogyny, gendered Islamophobia, and food production.
Ain't I a woman is great! I really enjoy that! If you want a feminist fiction set in east Asia, I highly recommend Kim ji-young: Born 1982. It is one of my favorite books of 2020❤
I'd love to see a vlog of your creative/drawing/design process! Also maybe check out Hood Feminism by Mikki Kendall, I thought it was brilliant and it sounds like the kind of intersectional feminism book you were looking for!
Hey :) If you're looking for more feminist non-fiction that are particularly good on audio: Fight Like a Girl and Boys Will Be Boys, both by Clementine Ford, are pretty great!
You could also try Hoodfeminism, it's a really great book and sounds exactly like what you're looking for :) I'd also recommend the essay collection Can We All Be Feminists?
If you're perhaps looking for a feminist book that's a bit more modern, you can try Sensuous Knowledge. I've just started it though so I can't say much on it😅 Aaah, the snow is so pretty!! I've only seen snow once in my life 😂 Those duolingo sounds are making me feel guilty for ignoring that little green owl.
Hello Leonie, totally get what you mean by that "entry level feminism" literature, I myself struggled a lot to find books talking about more radical ideas and if you're still interested then I think you should check out "Thick" by Tressie McMillan Cottom. It's a short book but very analytical and , hm, intellectual? Idk how to say that without sounding like a douche bc english is not my first language but what I mean is, it requires a lot more from its reader than pop culture feminism works that dominate the sphere. It focuses on issues that are not rly talked about widely but are absolutely necessary to understand & address. I also learned a lot from "Hood Feminism - notes from the women the movement forgot" by Mikki Kendall. Not seeing this book around much which is a shame. "Wayward Lives" by Saidiya Hartman is also worth checking out.
I wonder if you've checked out Andi Zeisler's We Were Feminists Once. It's a really good critique about the shallowness and danger of pop feminism, and it's one of the best books about feminism I read! I'd say it's somewhere between introductory and 'deeper' books. It's fairly easy to delve in because it's so relevant to our everyday experience with feminism, but there's definitely a lot more to take in than the light essay/memoir-ish feminist nonfictions.
Drinking tea from a mug that says ‘chocolate’, you’re really living dangerously
ahahaha i'm a rebel
This is the most bookish thing I’ve ever heard
dunno if you guys cares but if you are stoned like me during the covid times you can watch all of the latest movies on InstaFlixxer. Have been binge watching with my gf for the last few days :)
@Zachary Emanuel Yup, I have been using instaflixxer for since december myself :D
I’m so happy it’s finally snowing in the Netherlands. I think we all really needed this lol ❄️
yess! and it is very nice that we can go ice-skating 🤍
With the licor 43 you can make Mexican carajillo (slightly different than the Spanish version). 2 parts coffee, 1 part licor 43. Shake with ice cubes! You won’t regret it 👌🏽
that sounds so good!
You're such a vibe, Leonie! I agree: sunny and cold with snow on the ground is the best weather!

I’m also learning spanish & i started doing yoga everyday since social distance started it’s amazing, truly soul&body changing
tbh it's like 15% reading and 85% vlog , but i love it ! it's not what i'm looking for , but the vibes and coziness is just 💚
✨ leonie hablando español me da vida ✨
We use Licor 43 in México to make ‘carajillo’ which I believe is 1 part espresso and 1 part licor 43 shaken with ice. It’s delicious ☕️🥃
The snow is so pretty! Where I live it never snows :)
AHHH I am SO excited because I am finally going to go to a bookstore AND a library! It has been SO SO long since I last went to a bookstore, so I am bubbling with excitement right now!

ohhh thanks for the tip about sprouts, i'm gonna try it out!
Leonie slamming the books at the start almost caused an earthquake. 😂
I actually have been mixing up my workout. I still do one everyday but I make a choice between Yoga, ballet or zumba. I noticed that doing the same thing everyday lowers my interest a bit. Mixing it up has really helped me keep it up~!
that right toast matches exactly with your outfit 4:32 green, white and brown!!!
Here it snowed too! Yesterday evening/night! Today it's such a cold and beautiful day.
haha what a coincidence. I bought Licor43 last week and in my wednesday reading vlog I made Barraquito (a coffee popular in Tenerife) that uses Licor43. Now I have something else to make with it ;)

Ahhh I'm so excited for the SAB reread video! Also the "thanks mom" overlap was cute lol

I’m from the Southern part of the US and it surprisingly snowed here too! Snow miracles are happening, people!
sorry to be the party pooper, but it's caused by excessive humidity from climate change. Hottest year recorded last year.
Might you possibly be from Texas because I am and it’s supposed to snow where I’m at within the next couple days!!
yooo im in texas and i love it!
@@aivryzamora825 no, I actually live in South Carolina
It's snowing in Germany too ❄️. Sun and snow is the best combination 🌞❄️
Except for -14 temperatures haha. I am also in Germany, and really, the sky is exceptional the last few days.
That Duolingo success noise is so ingrained in me. I have a streak going ever since quarantine started 😆
How many days? Mine is 383 :D
@@emmal3819 I just passed 300!
@@mattkean1128 that’s great!
Your vlogs are so stunning. Goals!! Loved your art. I have only recently heard of those digital drawing thingys. I would have NO idea what I'm doing haha. Your lunch looked delicious!!

I enjoyed this vlog a lot! tbh it seems like you always do so much in just one day. I usually just sit and read or browse on booktube. 😂
oh that's most of my days as well lol
Ain't I a woman is great! I really enjoy that! If you want a feminist fiction set in east Asia, I highly recommend Kim ji-young: Born 1982. It is one of my favorite books of 2020❤

I'd love to see a vlog of your creative/drawing/design process! Also maybe check out Hood Feminism by Mikki Kendall, I thought it was brilliant and it sounds like the kind of intersectional feminism book you were looking for!
When will you reopen your shop? I would like to buy some of your creative products. Besides, would you like to try alternative book cover?
I recommand reading '' The independant woman'' from Simone de Beauvoir as a feminismbook
I saw you read the first Murderbot book, what did you think of it?
Hey :) If you're looking for more feminist non-fiction that are particularly good on audio: Fight Like a Girl and Boys Will Be Boys, both by Clementine Ford, are pretty great!
💟
Does anyone knows the name of the fist song in this video ?
If anybody knows wich is the song from the beginning please tell me :)
Whats going on with the protests in the Netherlands?
Well it is a cardigan worth mentioning a few time lol! Has anyone told you that you resemble Leelee Sobieski?
Que bueno que estés aprendiendo español!
You could also try Hoodfeminism, it's a really great book and sounds exactly like what you're looking for :) I'd also recommend the essay collection Can We All Be Feminists?

♥
I'm currently reading "Women, race and class" by Angela Davis and it's a great feminist book, would recommend!
and this one doesn't have interviews :)
yes that was one was on my radar but storytel didn't have it :( so i'll have to get a physical copy of it someday
I was also doing yoga everyday this year but now covid hit me & i'm too weak 😭

storytel!
We drink the Licor 43 just with Milk and call it „Milch 43“ and it‘s So. Deliciouus! 😂
i love that drink! here we call ik 'softijsje' because it tastes like ice cream lol
would highly recommend 'Sister Outsider' by Audre Lorde for some more intersectional feminist reading! :)
thank you!
7:58 uhhh, tall building! Is that a church?
awesome😎
Omg, let's be friends on duo lingo, i learn Spanish there too
I recently read Why They March which is a book about feminism, thought it was pretty good
Can u do a recommendation video on feminist literature
