This sounds so amazingly clean, give the sound engineers a raise.
Everyone always sounds better on Later with Jools Holland
"The spare set of tingles'll raise up your spine if I get it my way"
God this man has just has a way with words
It's going to take a few years to realize how special and sophisticated this music is due to being in the age of quick ringtone/tiktok music. Like good books the more you dig the more you find, this music always shows me something new with each listen. Very grateful for a Dylan, Bowie, Lennon-type talent in this generation. May time treat these gentlemen with glory.
Well said. So often sophistication can come at the expense of listenable songs, but it's like they've nailed the balance as well as anyone, and it elevates their work above anything else happening in pop music atm for me.
There's only music, so that there's new ringtones.
Or they’re disappeared up their own arses with this unlistenable tripe
@@Raizio and here's the TRUTH that tjey can't see
Arctic Monkeys
They’re really proving how versatile they are
sounds just like the studio version. amazing.
*better
Flashbacks from 2014 when I saw your username haha
Not quite, it’s missing the string section :(
Still great tho
not really at all
No it doesnt
THE best sounding live performance of any song I have ever seen

This album is becoming more and more addictive with each listen, spectacular job as always from the boys ❤️
I adore how Alex always seems to mix up the parts of the lyrics like "Early expressions invite me to suggest" or something random; almost as if he ain't quite at the part of the song where he thinks he is.
Bare with him man, he's lost his train of thought
It is a common thing for me that the first impression of their new album is not so good every time . Because it's too surprising. After that, I'm always addicted to their new world.
Exactly. I’m always turned off on first listen, wondering how I’ll ever grow to love each tune, but then I’ll give the record a random listen and have my mind blown. Happens every time without failure. Alex Turner is a master of musical expression and a true poet.

Best live performance since the live debut 👏
Son: dad why is my sisters name Paris?
Dad: because your mum loves Paris
Son: oh okay thank you dad
Dad: no problem I ain’t quite where I think I am part where they sing ‘eyes roll back’ in the chorus
Hahahah I wanna name my daughter Arabella
@@jheviza that's really cool actually. Good luck with that lmaoo
This album sounds so much better live than the studio versions
I agree
it just gets better and better
Only The Monkeys could do that👏
as far as this specific track goes that's ridiculously incorrect lmao. the strings and the fuller harmonies make this one sound so much better in the record than live

I'm still not sure if I like Tranquility Base better or not, but these guys have just gotten better with age for me. This album is incredible.

Someone needs to upload this full jools Holland set
It is a real privilege to see this band grow and evolve. I’m honestly speechless, how do they do it time and time and again?!
they totally kick ass no matter the style of their music
Instant chill at 2:17. How can they keep gettin better and better? 🖤
Voice sounds amazing here
So good to see him perform in the Goldtop Les Paul from the Body Paint music video.
Saw them live a couple days ago, the best band of our time.
I absolut love this song
I love their artistic evolution. Love musicians who create albums that are so nuanced each listen is a audio surprise.
Lookin for a greatest live band alive? - Here they are!
following their career makes me feel myself maturing and i have no idea how to describe just that it’s wonderful
holy shit it's so good. they've broken the sound barrier on this record. taking people a minute to realize what hit em

what an insanely good band
Pure art 💖
Such a masterpiece 🥰
Love these dudes
What a performance! Love the guitar too
they may be just the biggest band around now that i think about it, this new approach seems like a step (or several) ahead of tbhc, which is really of my liking. im really satisfied with what theyre doin
They are so awesome, fucking love their new music 🇧🇷♥️
My favorite song of the album
Шикарный альбом, любовь с первых секунд
This music is among the best in the story of contemporary music. The approach of these guys is composing, not just writting songs.Harmonically is pure joy and heaven.
Live version of this album hits hard
Can we all agree the Arctic Monkey’s themselves are a masterpiece 🔥
watched them last friday and they're just perfect...
thx alex i love every single album of Arctic Monkeys !!!
I rarely listen to this genre, but the richness of his beautiful voice always gets my attention.
I can listen THIS.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this tune!
Shades of Bowie! Love this
Perfect!
I’ve been a fan since their first album and I didn’t love this song on the first listen, but holy shit did it grow on me. They kinda lost me a little bit with TBHC, still a good album, but this is definitely more like it. They just keep getting better.

I can’t believe BBC took this whole performance off iplayer so quickly. It’s the best thing worth watching on the entire schedule they have on there. Endless crappy box sets and films that have been on there for literally months, and this gets about 30 days…..Not cool BBC
your music is the meaning of living
Excelente!!! Hermoso!!! Me derrito!!!
Incredible sound
This whole album played live sends me to heaven goddamn
so amazing
This is the album that I imagine would be playing somewhere in Tranquility Base Hotel (and casino)
Amazing😍
God I love this man
Now this is wat I call real music.well done Alex. True professional. Wished I was were I think I am.with you. ❤❤❤❤
So good man
Really great music.
went to their concert and this one sounds amazing live!

I've watched this vid a bunch of times already and I can honestly say I like the live version of this better than the album. It made me like the song even more.
just perfect
This new Dad look is making feel more comfortable about turning 30
A melhor do álbum
god blessed him
i love them
Favourite song on the album. Wish this funky style was more present.
Cool to see Alex using another new guitar for this era! Les Paul Deluxe Gold Top
Excelente Música. 👏👏🌟🌟💫💫💥💥💖💖💃💃💃🕺🕺🕺
Alex with a Les Paul. That's new.
he used the black beauty one (jamie's) 2011-2014
@@fluffydelberg Oh i didn't know that. Thanks.
I think he played arabella with a les paúl guitar
He used a Black Les Paul for like half of the AM album
THIS BAND IS JUST SOMMETHING!!!!!

Nice and funky
fav album of all time1
So good
Increible 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Better than the studio version hands down, Alex is straight up killing it.
The Les Paul looks good on him. He should use it more haha
the only thing that looks good on him. is. death
Freaky keypad
By the retina scan
I've been given good reason to believe
I ain't quite where I think I am
But it's always worth half a blast
You know the face, but you can't see past
The disco strobes in the stumbling blocks
Wait, there's the other island now
Formation displays of affection fly over
(Eyes roll back) and I can see both islands now
It's the intermission
Let's shake a few hands
Blank expressions invite me to suspect
I ain't quite where I think I am
Stackable party guests
To fill the awkward silences
The disco strobes in the stumbling blocks
Wait, there's the other island now
Formation displays of affection fly over
(Eyes roll back) and I can see both islands now
From my vantage point
The spare set of tingles will race up your spine
If I get it my way
Looks like the Riviera
Is coming into land
Early predictions would seem to suggest
I ain't quite where I think I am
Formation displays of affection fly over
(Eyes roll back) and I can see both islands now
Always a new sound and alex knowledge of words just improve all the time ❤
mas que delicinha de músicaaaaaaa, amo demais
Increíble 👏👏👏👏👏💘💘💘💘💘
If you want to grow as a band, do what the Arctic Monkeys have done, not what Coldplay did.
Well… everyday life was great but too little too late
Nope, both got worse. At least Coldplay still play their best stuff live
@@ecaplan09 so do Monkeys; you clearly haven’t seen them live
@@mattpark746 I mean they stopped playing FA mardy bum and a certain romance years ago…
@@mattpark746 they don't play their debut anymore...
Grande Banda 👌👏👏👍👍
So nice sound...
I didnt expect seeing alex turner playing a goldtop and im so glad
Zame najboljši
Loved Alex's voice in this 👌
En vivo suena un caño este tema
What a voice 👌
So fucking groovy. Has to be one of my favourite songs ever
ruclips.net/video/49vrzQyM4KM/видео.html
LET'S FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOO
This song is so much better live😁
Superrrrr
In 2013 alex turner gave his “that rock n roll” speech at the brits awards announcing himself as one of the last guardians of british rock n roll. This song is the only thing close to rock n roll in 9 years. Its very 70s bowie. 2 albums 1 song
Pretty sure that speech was him taking the piss.
@@Slashycent coked up and in character. I wouldn’t say he was having a laugh. Look at the other members of the band as he says it
@@04mdsimps I'd say it was a very "Alex" appearance, all in all, and the man is kind of a walking shitpost.
He even admits to it on Tranquility Base:
"There's no limit to the length of the dickheads we can be."
"I'm so full of shite."
Speaking of Tranquility Base, there's a ton of Bowie in it too, even if it wasn't all that rocky.
"Four Out Of Five" sounds like a straight up impression of David at times ("I don't wanna be nice and you knooooow thaaaat!")
Them losing touch with rock n roll, both willfully and inadvertently, is actually a recurring theme on their newest album "The Car".
"Big Ideas", "Sculptures of Anything Goes", "Body Paint", it's all meta commentary on their new musical identity.
Looking at their recent live performances though, they actually seem to cling to the genre much more than their latest records might make it seem.
Maybe Alex's speech was genuine after all. "That rock n roll, eh?"
Please bring the Gibson LES PAUL also at concerts 🙏 it's too beautiful to not be shown

Fukkkkk! I hate i missed out on Glasgow tickets!! Smh AM definitely my favorite band!
