Maw Maw said, “No honey. Put it in a bowl!” 🤣 You know she wanted to add a ‘bless your heart’ at the end of that. So funny! She sounds precious!!!! 🥺🫶🏻
Love this video! I was laughing most of the time. Maw Maw is precious she sure was not going to tell her sweet granddaughter she was doing it wrong!! Bless her! Biscuits did look good. Thanks for making my day.
😁😆: Me screaming at the TV for Jessica to add flour and knead. 😂 Thank you for sharing this awesomeness with the world. Your southern Maw Maw must be so proud of you.
When I make beans, I slice up smoked sausage, brown it in a cast iron skillet, put the sausage, drippings and all, in the pot, then put my beans, onion, minced garlic, and beef broth (more flavor) in and serve with cornbread and a pot of rice....so freaking good!!! 😊💜
Pinto beans and biscuits? Interesting. I'm in the south and I've never heard of that. Always cornbread and pinto beans. Always a ham hock in the beans, too. Also, a pinch of something is just as it sounds. Use your fingers and pinch the sugar. That's a pinch. 🙂
@@jessicaodonohue I'm sure biscuits are good too. I'll definitely be trying it the next time I make a pot of pinto beans. You should try cooking a pot of cranberry beans. They are a little bigger than a pinto and super creamy. Mandy In The Making has a great recipe for cornbread also.
You got to soak all beans!!! I watched my mama soak all beans and peas( black eye purple hull peas!!! And your not a country girl til you were raised with purple thumbs from shells a bushel of those famous purple hull peas!!!! Lol!! What memories!!! I love your show!!!!
Y’all are killing me :-). I’m laughing hysterically because I’ve been trying for over 20 years to recreate my Aunt Vivian’s biscuits and still can’t get it right.
WV girl here, biscuits are for gravy - cornbread is for beans! lol Still looked good, though! Next time you need to make fried potatoes and kielbasa & sauerkraut with it! 😍
Y'all making me laugh so hard over that biscuit making process. Mr. Bunkey guarding the oven door from you was a scream! Tell him to sprinkle fresh diced onion over and WOW! Southern goodness in a bowl.
You two made me laugh so hard! I love watching you work together. Since I found your channel I have watched all could find of you too. So excited I found your RV channel too.

Y’all crack me up! I’ve never heard of biscuits and pintos, we always have cornbread, onion, and fried potatoes with ours. Those biscuits looked really good! I guess I’ll have to try the beans and biscuits next! Love all your videos. ❤
I called my Maw Maw’s grandma and Oma(German for grandma). I miss them so much so I am so happy that you are able to have yours!!! Thanks for sharing and have a great day!
OMGOSH, you two are so fun to watch. You are hilarious, even when you disagree! My mom used to make biscuits this way, like drop biscuits, and we loved them! Also. Jessica, I LOVE your laugh, and your happy personality!
What a mess! I would hate to let you two loose in my kitchen! I’m laughing. It’s fun to watch people do a video when they have no clue what they are doing. I’m laughing. I think y’all are hilarious. Keep it up.
Oh my Gosh!!! You and Bunky are the cutest!! He was like a little kid waiting in front of window of stove like a kid looking out the window for Santa!!🤣🤣🤣🤣
How could you not have a ball watching this. You guys are so much fun. The biscuits did look delicious. Thats how I always make my beans. I know jow good they are. We like fryed potatoes and onion with ours too. Great video.
My sour cream dill biscuits: 2 cups flour, 3 tsps dried dill, 2tsps baking powder, 1 tsp salt, mix dry ingredients together. Mix in 1 stick chopped cold butter until resembles course crumbs. Add 8 Oz sour cream and 1 to 3 tbs milk. Roll out to 1/2 inch high. Cut with mini round cutter. Brush tops with melted butter. Bake at 425 degrees for 15 mins. YUM!
My Papa used to break up his cornbread and put it in a cup o' buttermilk. Whenever I would visit them, I'd modify with milk. And of course salt it. Such fond memories: slurpin' up my cornbread with milk in an ol' fashioned lil coffeemug. Good ol' days for sure. 🥰
I love, love, love watching your videos! They give me all of the homey, loving, comforting vibes! Keep all of the videos coming! Definitely always one of my highlights to my day! 🥰💞
I'm laughing So hard!!!! You and those bisquits!!!!! They remind me of bisquick biscuits....hahaha! And the camera.... oh my Word yins are funny!!! The camera going up and down oh oh oh!!!!
We (here in Oklahoma) eat our beans with cornbread. The juice is my favorite part. My grandpa used to eat his beans with onions and peanut butter…it really is good😂 I can’t wait to try your maw maws biscuits.thanks for this, this is one of my favorite meals in the world🥰
I laughed SO much watching you two do the biscuits! That was so fun seeing the "process". I just love when a new video of yours pops up! Hope your weekend at the farm was fun.🤣
Jessica! I just made this for dinner tonight and it was amazing! I’m a southern girl and I had never heard of pintos. We always made navy’s. I soaked the beans overnight and this morning I put them in the crockpot with a great big ole’ ham hock. Now I knew you knew what you were talking about because you said the word pot liquor and only us southern girls know that! I’ve made collards and drank the pot liquor lol. Best stuff! Those pintos cooked all day and my husband snubbed his nose all day. I kept telling him just wait my girl knows her stuff they’ll be good. Dinner time came and I put the biscuits in the oven and boy did the house smell good! Here he comes. I dished him a bowl of pintos. I told him he could do whatever he wanted to do with that biscuit but you’re supposed to break it up over the beans. Well needless to say this will be in our rotation. He and I LOVED it! Thank you so much for teaching this southern girl a new trick!!!🥰
Biscuit fiasco, lol! Made me chuckle when you showed the clip of talking to your Maw Maw with all that flour on the counter! Just enjoy your videos so much, always entertaining and inspiring.
Looks delish...I am a southern girl and love corn bread, but the biscuit looks yummy in the beans. I also love chow chow good stuff. You two actually made me giggle out hard.
This looked delicious. I have all the ingredients and it's going to be freezing in Virginia this coming week. Great weather for a pot of beans. And Biscuits! I usually, do cornbread, though sometimes I like biscuits with them as well. Enjoyed your video. Keep smiling.
Miss Jessica, you should do a couple of Maw Maw baking/cooking videos with your Maw Maw!!!! 🥳💖🥳💖🥳💖🥳💖 The memories you'd have FOREVER would be priceless to your heart!!! 🥰🥰
Thank you for another great video! That shredded butter hack was so enlightening! I will definitely be doing that when I make scones…or maybe when I try these biscuits! Pintos looked great too. I am from up north and never head of crock pot pintos but you all make me yell yes to try them! God bless. Thank you for making these videos! ❤
Regional differences are so interesting! Where I’m from, lard and crisco are two different things, as are ham hocks and a ham bone! It all looks so good though!
I remember your first biscuit video & I was still LOL w/hubby asleep right beside me, but I couldn’t help myself! Y’all make the best biscuit videos. I kept cracking up😂. Those biscuits looked AMAZING ‼️. I never heard of “pot liquor” before! I’m ordering a Honey Ham ASAP to make those beans!👍 Much Luv💕
We make mexican style pintos here in the southwest. We put salt pork, chicken broth, garlic, chile powder, and other spices in our pintos. When they're about fully cooked I mash some of the beans in the pot about 30 minutes before they're done
Again I do not even know if you will read this but every holiday I save mine from the ham but I use the bag of 12 beans which Mae totally kicked it up a notch. My grandpa lived during the depression is how we had bean soup. But he upped it a notch by doing the mixed beans. We soak them over night. And we make corn bread of corse too. But it is good for sure
Honestly, Mr Bunky has awesome technique for biscuits! The way he coated all those little butter shreds with flour and just barely mixed to combine will create lots of little pockets of butter that will create fluffy layers!
