Daiwa used to give you oil and a spare pawl for the level wind ,a little wrench and spare drag washers and a little spring to hold in the bearings in a small med bottle like container. I still have mine that came with my first gen magforce still runs lika sewing machine.

I ordered a 22 metanium shallow on Monday, and it’s being delivered today! 3 days from placing my order to my doorstep in southern New Jersey. So excited to try it out after work. Just gotta stop and pick up a new rod on my way home today. Anyway thanks again

Hi Nick. I am sorry i didn’t give my review on this reel early because I was not to sure if I can keep this reel. Usually I don’t do pitching and skipping I don’t have much experience in that technique. I purchased this reel to use with a light lures because of shallow spool . I really got disappointed about this reel. Because the breaking system is not working properly on my opinion. I have to reconstruct breaking system . Because every time when I cast I have birds nest. Fix it brakes and reel works as a dream.
An aluminum gear will wear out before a brass gear will. With heavy use you’ll be able to feel it sooner. Maintaining the reel will make it last longer but eventually then aluminum gear will run down before a brass gear will
Interested in comparison to Custom Lite. I have several Pro Ti’s which I like much better than my Shimano Curado 70. My latest is a Custom Lite which may edge the Pro Ti’s, but may be because it has fewer “miles” on it. I always fill up half the spool with mono, then braid so a shallow spool works for me.
Dude please tell me will this thing cast a 1/8 bait , to much double talk in this video,get down to the meat and potatoes, Will it perform, Will it cast light baits, anybody can take a Reel out of the box
They have a baitclicker baitcaster. It’s called the bb1 pro (2021 version). It’s my go to reel for inshore fishing with topwater lures.

The BB1 PRO has a clicking drag, always has long before anyone else…probably one of Lews most popular reels
Abu Garcia had the alarm clicker on their Ambassadeur.
Hope Lews can produce this reel with lighter spool and short shaft like Daiwa and Abu Garcia

Yes, that’s a good point. However, I will take light weight over heavy weight anytime of the day.

I’m fishing 25+ year old abu Garcia black max and pro max 1600 s I can cast 1/16 ounce as far as I need 8 lb braid it’s amazing
Is this spool swappable with other Lew’s reels? I really want to put one of these spools in a hyperspeed. Probably 50 inch return per crank!
