I got the Spider-Man power blaster as an impulse buy. I do love it, it's an absolute blast to use. The only thing that keeps me from adding it into my loadout is the gimmick though.
The Deploy actually does what it's supposed to: be an N-Strike blaster with a cool gimmick. Now, if only Hasbruh would re-release it with Retaliator internals, that would be nice
@@cheeserug2215 They changed the internals, such as the plunger tube, and made it worse. Also, this means most mod kits for the longshot will not work.
@@cheeserug2215 they shrunk the size of the plunger tube reducing the mod potential, and didn’t upgrade the spring/air seal at all so it’s still only shooting 50 ish fps like an nstrike gun. The only thing they added is an unjamming button that may have actually been included in the zombie strike variant a few years ago.
Ehh... Kind of. To be honest, I loved the phoenix. The only issue I have with it is the small mag, but it makes a great sidearm and has lots of tactical rails, plus a scope and you can mod the barrel and stock. It's really good when combined with the tri-strike kit, because it shoots stupid fast with the mega dart barrel, plus you can hit someone with a missile.
My big thought for the hobby as a whole right now, and something that Nerf, Dart Zone, and everyone else should probably be getting on board with, is **engagement ranges**. There will always be a role for low-powered blasters, alongside mid-range and long-range ones, even in many competitive play styles. There should be a recommended engagement range indicated with a clear graphic and color-coding to let people have an idea of the stock performance they can expect from a given model, and right now we have to dig through reviews in order to tell what blasters have what level of power out of the box. We've finally entered an age where modding parts suppliers are developing weaker springs for blasters, and that means it's time to start drawing the line between the blasters that shoot soft and are best used at close range (and/or with younger kids) vs. the ones that no one is going to want to get point-blanked by. Give a recommended engagement range for the target age group and all of a sudden the indoor-friendly blasters and the hard-hitting long range models stand apart from one another clearly on the store shelf, and parents and kids alike get an idea of what to expect from the blasters in use.
That's a pretty damn good idea, easy to implement for all manufacturers, really helpful for parents shopping for gifts as well as for the users themselves. have an updoot.
Your commentary on the hobby growing with us is such a huge point. When people think Nerf, they think underpowered toys. I bought a Dart Zone Quickshot (4 Cylinder for a friend’s son (preteen) as a Christmas present. Because it wasn’t Nerf, his mom let him open it up to plink with inside. They immediately were shocked at it’s power and told him not to fire it in the house (younger sisters, ceramic ornaments, etc.). Even with DZ’s cheaper offerings, they knocked it out of the park this year. Let’s hope 2021 brings good competition.
I sat through this whole thing and actually enjoyed myself, yet again a content creator that makes videos over 10 minutes with actual time and effort put into it, keep it up my guy :)

I agree with mostly everything, accept for one tiny thing. At 19:39 you said that the fortnite bar(probably spelling that wrong) had an awkward slamfire prime. However, the modulus tri strike also had the bolt action slam fire. And while it was awkward a little, you did point out in your review, that it was easier to use than something like an alpha trooper or a rough cut because you are moving less plastic, I do think the internals are the same for the fortnite bar(I'm probably not saying it right) making the slamfire for it easier and a little bit smoother. Other than that this list is well done and I love the video
Thor's hammer is such a cool "blaster". Reminds me of that star wars bladebuilders with a single shot blaster part for it. As for my two cents, I feel that if there is a full tier list (including non-nerf), the S-tier on this will rank to about a low A-tier. and the D-tier would be the F-tier.
the uppercut is the second worst Blaster ever released by Nerf and when I say second is because I myself broke both of my wardens just by using them just like Walcom did just like Coop did so yeah the warden is the worst

I love the Takedown, and I would possibly use it as a primary over a Stryfe. I had a 25 round drum in a stryfe with attachments against a friend with just a Takedown and he crushed me. Would recommend
I have a finisher, and it is easily my least favorite blaster in my Arsenal. Mine may be a faulty one, but mine constantly jams or gets the prime stuck, so we have to take a break in the middle of battles. It performed worse than my Kronos (which I love), and is unenjoyable overall to use.
Ahh so that explains why my finisher halfway broke within the first day... it still fires but reloading is weird sometimes I have to push down the unjam button 😬
My son bought the Saturn early - it was one of the first blasters he bought this year, and I tried to talk him out of it. I have since apologized to him for being such a terrible father.
Awesome tier list! I’m glad the Flyte is getting the praise it deserves as well, definitely a top tier blaster. I’d be interested in seeing a top 15-10 blasters list of 2020 that include off-brand blasters, as there have been quite a few awesome blasters that have come out this year
@@nathanseiz That's not the flyte's fault, it's the line's. Normal Alpha Strike blasters are "good", but they are very different from blaster to blaster in terms of power and reliability. I have 2 cobras and they both don't shoot well, even though reviewers have said it's a powerful blaster.
I'm a Transformers fan, I've dealt with Hasbro's crap for years now so I can with some confidence predict what's going to happen when it comes to Nerf. They'll go all licensed product like lego. Why? It's not for the reason you think. Hasbro does one thing better than just about any big corporation out there: Legally bully people into submission. If they go all IP licensed blasters then they can point to any company making a similar styled blaster and say "HEY THEY'RE INFRINGING ON OUR IP BY MAKING A SIMILAR BLASTER JUST WITHOUT THE LOGOS!" and then proceed to legally bully the competition out of the market. Hasbro has never cared about being better than the competition, they care about monopolizing the market. Why be better when you can just sue people out of existence? If that doesn't work then they'll try and get laws passed that outlaws anything more powerful than the average Nerf blaster, by getting on the good side of a "tHiNk oF tHe cHilDrEn!" mom group to petition lawmakers to act. It's been Hasbro's MO for decades now and they always get away with it because they're Hasbro. Never expect innovation from Hasbro, in fact expect the opposite. Their products will get cheaper as they find more sweat shops to build their products for pennies on the dollar. The very first Nerf blaster that I modded is the Icon Element, and the front dart holder is glued shut so I used a small handsaw and sawed it off. Otherwise it can handle pretty basic stuff. Lost it unfortunately, but am planning to buy a new one to recreate what I did, but better.
I didn't expect the DG to be in D tier. For me it's an A tier because of the design and the slam fire. I have one and it's great. Nobody else has talked about the priming handle breaking so it could be a factory error.
In my opinion, I think the takedown deserves to be in the S tier. And I honestly don’t think that it should be compared with the Saturn. Yes they are very similar but they’re two different blasters for two different things. The Saturn is long, it’s a primary. It’s really not that practical for let’s say a CQB environment. In a CQB environment, you would use a takedown. It’s smaller, more compact, and could be holstered as a secondary. Now in a more outdoor in environment, I would choose the Saturn over the takedown. Even though it was proven that the takedown shoot farther in stock form, i would still use the Saturn since it has a capacity of 11 and slam fire. But then again, I tried to shove in more than 8 balls in my takedown and I managed to get 10 in, which is two more than the original capacity and only one less from the Saturn.
As being a person who likes the Elite 2.0 blasters i can say that even the biggest fans of elite 2.0 cant argue with Warden being the worst blaster of all time
It certainly is something when the community grows so much that it out grows the fandom. Here's hoping Hasbro will take a risk or two and step up in the next year. Also, I feel the Phoenix should be a spot or two higher if just because it can be a good afterburner.
I think the icon longshot should have been C teir just for the fact the shell is compatible with aftermarket longshot internals and its not easy to thrift a longshot in a lot of areas.

More tier lists!!!! With your collection, especially since the storage take over, you could do an insane amount of content of tiers only. Crossbows, bows, pumps, etc. From decades or overall.
Personally, I'd put the entire line of Elite 2.0 in C or D regardless of performance. The lazy design combined with the insane cost cuts leads to less long lasting blasters that you can't fix easily. That's a no recommend from me.
About Walcom's comment about battery door, I agree that there should be less screws holding them closed, but I think that it would be ideal to have the battery covers held on with rare earth magnets, that would remove a lot of the potential to have the cover no longer function because a plastic tab has worn down.
Maybe nerf should make a new company for the older audience, keeping the nerf stuff for kids but also focus towards better blasters. Plus the perfect name for the company to contrast nerf: buff

Hi walcom I have a dorado and it performs amazingly but the stock is uncomfortable and the trigger guard is painful but you can dremel it out

The warden also looks much much worse than the roughcut imo. Not just in colors but in (more importantly imo) the style of the shell itself

The very first Nerf blaster that I modded is the Icon Element, and the front dart holder is glued shut so I used a small handsaw and sawed it off. Otherwise it can handle pretty basic stuff. Lost it unfortunately, but am planning to buy a new one to recreate what I did, but better.
I didn't expect the DG to be in D tier. For me it's an A tier because of the design and the slam fire. I have one and it's great. Nobody else has talked about the priming handle breaking so it could be a factory error.

In my opinion, I think the takedown deserves to be in the S tier. And I honestly don’t think that it should be compared with the Saturn. Yes they are very similar but they’re two different blasters for two different things. The Saturn is long, it’s a primary. It’s really not that practical for let’s say a CQB environment. In a CQB environment, you would use a takedown. It’s smaller, more compact, and could be holstered as a secondary. Now in a more outdoor in environment, I would choose the Saturn over the takedown. Even though it was proven that the takedown shoot farther in stock form, i would still use the Saturn since it has a capacity of 11 and slam fire. But then again, I tried to shove in more than 8 balls in my takedown and I managed to get 10 in, which is two more than the original capacity and only one less from the Saturn.
Saturn kind of hard to find too.
As being a person who likes the Elite 2.0 blasters i can say that even the biggest fans of elite 2.0 cant argue with Warden being the worst blaster of all time

It certainly is something when the community grows so much that it out grows the fandom. Here's hoping Hasbro will take a risk or two and step up in the next year.
Also, I feel the Phoenix should be a spot or two higher if just because it can be a good afterburner.
I think the icon longshot should have been C teir just for the fact the shell is compatible with aftermarket longshot internals and its not easy to thrift a longshot in a lot of areas.

@@WalcomS7 the icon is the only longshot I can buy right now, its pretty hard if not impossible to that around here so If I can't buy it new I have to get extremely lucky to find it at all unless I'm looking for a maverick. More tier lists!!!! With your collection, especially since the storage take over, you could do an insane amount of content of tiers only. Crossbows, bows, pumps, etc. From decades or overall.
Personally, I'd put the entire line of Elite 2.0 in C or D regardless of performance. The lazy design combined with the insane cost cuts leads to less long lasting blasters that you can't fix easily. That's a no recommend from me.

About Walcom's comment about battery door, I agree that there should be less screws holding them closed, but I think that it would be ideal to have the battery covers held on with rare earth magnets, that would remove a lot of the potential to have the cover no longer function because a plastic tab has worn down.
