Here is how to identify the commonwealth ( British, Australian, New Zealand, Canadian) version of their SLR(self loading rifles )from the FN. The forstock has only two vents each side instead of three on FN, and SLR they can only fire semi automatic. A Scottish Regiment, had a gun battle with IRA members pretending to be a British Army Patrol, during the Troubles. What gave them away was the three vents on their FN rifles.

This is a huge improvement from earlier British training films, a lot more work into realism and practical situations.

I may have this wrong but I seem to remember the SLR was built to imperial dimensions and as a result ended up being slightly larger than the FN FAL.
