Professor Messer is the best for CompTIA Certs in my opinion.

I'm already an IT professional as a Linux Admin for over 11 years. However because of your excellent content and recommendations for WGU, I have successfully transferred a ton of credits from a previous University I didn't finish and will be starting WGU on July 1st. I really can't decide what I want to do with my career, cloud or cyber, so I have decided to pursue the general Information Tech degree to hopefully get an idea. Once I have a degree under my belt I can pursue the degrees in either cyber or cloud. At least that's the plan but you never know how life can influence our direction. Either way thanks for the continued quality content. I use your content to pay it forward.

Thanks so much for commenting and letting me know! I like how you say "At least that's the plan, but you never know...". That's literally how I conduct my life haha. I always make a plan to do something, then something better/more sensible seems to always come along, haha. Best of luck :(

Hey Josh, I’m currently in the BS cybersecurity program, and planning to get my masters at WGU after, I saw your video on the new program of the BS + MS accelerated program. I wanted you know your thoughts on one program vs the other? I’m possibly thinking of switching over to the new program… any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Hey Charles, probably just depends on what you want to do. The Cyber BS is more marketable than the BSIT/MS combo, IMO, because of the certs, but the BS/MS accelerated track will probably be faster to finish than just the cyber BS. you _COULD_ go that route, then just get relevant cyber certs afterwards if you wanted. It kinda just depends on if you want to finish faster, or have better certs. For me, I would probably go the faster route, since that's in fact what I did for both of my non-CS degrees, haha. Sorry for the non-answer, hope this helps though :)

I’m new to all this it but really looking into WGU but most people I keep meeting that do cybersecurity are telling me it’s a waste of time! They said I should go get my certs my self to get into help desk then ask the company to pay for my certs to get info cybersecurity! But I like that I can get a Bachelors degree at WGU which I think will help me in the long run but like I said I have never been in this field at all! Who do you recommend?
