I was able to overclock my memory with this board, with a i5 10400. But I didn’t use XMP as it wouldn’t allow me to go above 2666, so instead I disabled the XMP profile and then set the system memory multiplier to 3200 and I also increased the DRAM voltage to 1.4v from 1.2 . I was then able to run my ram at max speed

Hi do you have know a guide in how to increase cpu voltage with these board. I have a b560m aorus pro ax paired with an i5-11400f. Sometimes when I launch games especially when it loads from another scene the pc suddenly reboots and I feel I might need to increase my cpu voltage.
anyone with some kind of instructions on this b560 motherboard to guide me how to remove 65watt power limit(i5-11400) and raise it a bit like 125watt etc etc? i cant find how to change it.i've seen many videos but noone explains exactly or even show how to do it.Please if anyone knows and did it guide me :)
Would it be worth putting a i5-10400 with 3200 mhz ram? I'm not going to be overclocking but was wondering if that cap would hinder the performance greatly.
@Laurent's Choice Hiya. Hope you're well. MSI has got some new AMD version X570 motherboards coming out this month. Do you think you'll get your hands on a few for review?
just wanna ask your honest opinion between B560 AORUS PRO AX and MSI MPG Z590 GAMING CARBON WIFI. I got a hard decision to select which should I built. I'm not an addictive gamer but mostly play kind of strategy games and doing some video and graphics editing. Not a fan of OC since it will reduce your GPU and CPU lifespan.
We need some help. Actually a friend of mine got this mainboard with a i5 11600. We put it together and everything works fine except one thing that is making us frustraded. When he starts the pc the leds come on and the fans start to spin just as usual. The monitor gets a signal, enters the startscreen with bios and so ever. At this point the lights go off and the fans are stopping for just 1 or 2 seconds. Then the pc starts into windows, like it should. Really awkward for us.
Hmm.... strange. This could be caused by a corrupted BIOS. Did u update it. Also a faulty windows install might do that ( a .dll conflict causing a minor short).
Gonna ask. I’m currently using intel I7-10700 and im going to try to use XMP on this board to 3600mhz, my question is can this board enable XMP even if im using 10th gen processor?
Very strange , i used the board for my personal rig , and it support ddr4 3600+ easy .. Tried another unit , and it can't even post at anything above 3200 .. i installed my cpu and ram kit and the same ,, it's exactly the same board and revision , maybe gigabyte doing something wrong
Loved the review and your way of presenting it. What are your thoughts on the B560M AORUS ELITE (rev. 1.0)? Would it be similarly good for a Micro ATX? I got my eyes on one for Black Friday.
So.. AMD doesn't have much integrated graphics solutions . There are a few processors but hard to come by these dags. But in application, they are superior of what Intel can deliver by far. And yes, no optical output. And we should see it less and less across motherboards since USB DAC audio outputs deliver equivalent audio quality in and output without having to use and optical cable. Hope this helps.
Do I need to manually change settings on bios to get full clock speed of i5 11400f & Is this future proof mobo or I should go with ryzen lineup..? I'm not a gamer I usually work on Adobe Ae and other video editing stuffs..
overclock is not necessary .😌 you won't notice it in games or rendering/editing video effects. even you would jump from 85 FPS to 99 FPS by overcl and it will be hard to notice it. the progress bar of the task working , won't run faster to get amazed and save the minutes of your life. take it easy, don't worry, you can apply a basic overcl, a little gain and good performance, yes! I find hard I'm lazy for just a little bit of gain. a deep detailed and complex overclock for your SKU and appliance, takes a few hours and more to get it reliable.
Thanks for reviewing this board! What would you choose between this and the tomahawk counterpart? Just picked up a z590 tomahawk but now you've got me considering the b560 range.
@@Laurentschoice If you had to pick between the pro ax and tomahawk b560 boards, what would you go with? And awesome! Looking forward to seeing that when it's posted!
@@Laurentschoice I think Gigabyte's specs are wrong, unless it's a specific Gigabyte thing they're locking down in the bios for 10th gen. I can happily overclock my ram on an Asrock B560 Pro4 with a 10th gen i5 10400F. Running 3600mhz with some old Kingston HyperX 2133mhz ram.
@@Marty_NZ I just tested some ram OC this morning. With an 11700k I could push some corsair dominator to 4ghz Changing to 10900k , I could not go beyond 3233 mhz . A bit more than published on gigabyte specs. I do not believe its is related to the chipset but rather thr SOC .
@@Laurentschoice very interesting indeed. Does your 10900K do 4GHZ ram on a Z490/Z590? Perhaps it needs some voltage tuning for the B560. What's the standard XMP spec for that memory if you were to just enable it with 10th gen cpu? FYI as a side note, I just recently bought a really cheap i5 10600k and have been looking for Z490 and Z590 reviews. Discovered your channel only a few days ago and I've been loving your motherboard reviews. Actually just bought a Gigabyte X570 Gaming X motherboard today based on your review. Awesome review. Covers everything that we need to know about the motherboard, along with VRM temps. One question, with a 10th gen chip like 10900, can we run the RAM above 2933MHz? Say something like 3200 MHz or 3600 MHz?
@mehedi hassan you can use either a 3rd or 4th gen nvme. What controls the speed is the cpu. If you have a 10th gen cpu, you cannot use the top nvme port, as it only supports 4th gen pcie. So you have to use the one below which uses 3rd gen pcie. But if you get a 4th gen pcie nvme, you can still use it in the 2nd and 3rd nvme port, it would just run at the lower speed 3rd gen pcie speed. Personally I would reccomend saving the money and just get a 3rd gen pcie nvme, as the speed difference wont be a difference as they will both run at 3rd gen anyways
Lol, wish I watched this before I had put my m.2 in wrong slot paired with my 10th gen cpu. Had to spend so long transferring windows from my hard drive to m.2
