Did u guys observe this thing ? It all ended where it started...shivu put that lord shiva statue under waterfalls so that he gets showered all the time...so the god made his wish come true...If he had showered 1000 times as the sage said , he would have just climbed the mountain successfully...But because he made the lord get showered all the time(basically infinite times),The lord made him a king to a kingdom...It was just my view,Not like that's what director meant...I was just sharing my thoughts...

That white substance he applied on his body were ashes, usually called VIBHUTTI. It's like lord shiva when getting angry turns everything into ashes whatever they visualizes from their third eye, and that single eye on that shivling refers to that third eye only. Hail Lord Shiva🙏

If you look at the end scene, it conveys excellent msg. In first part, an ordinary man climbs the high mountain and later on in second part he becomes the king. On the contrary the man with ego falls from the same mountain. Excellent way of conveying msg!!

The empire (mahishmati) shows in this movie was actually exists at the time of Ramayana and king kartyaverya arjun rules this Kingdom who later get defeated by LORD PARSHURAM. This movie was just a movie but people lived that time are even more powerfull than shown in this movie.
Bonus fact - kalkeyas shown in this movie also really exist who get defeated by demon king RAVANA!
When we start something we Worship Lord Ganesha and then start the work and The Lord shiva is The Destroyer or End so Movie start with Lord Ganesha scene and End with Lord Shiva. (The statue picked by bahubali on his shoulder is the form of Lord Shiva we called that Linga or Pind )
This last scene generates good feel... What a cool story🤘

More than good luck. It's a huge ritual that was also in the very opening of this film when Queen Mother Shivgami performs it for Lord Shiva. The tradition is to circle around and matter what, the legs should not stop walking. Finishing the lap means no one will be able to defeat their cause. And hence, Devsena does this too for the cause of killing Bhallal Dev. It is still done, although a very hard thing for us mere mortals.

Some mysteries which remained unsolved even now -
1) What was done with Bijjaladeva, the father of Bhallaladeva
2) Who was Bhallaladeva's wife cause he's shown having a child in the movie(the one whose head was cut)
3) How di Amarendra Baahubali's father, brother of Bijjaladeva die and what's his story(a glimpse of him was shown in a painting when Amarendra Baahubali was born and he too looked the same! 😂)

at 14:35 he applies the sacred ash on his wounds. i remember someone i know telling me that it helps to heal wounds and stop the blood flowing out of it. it also helps to raise your energy and is a reminder of mortal life. there is a lot of meaning behind that scene actually
