Everyday is a constant reminder that I would still some day love to go to med school but for now I wait considering Im 24 weeks prego! Congrats on making your match, I wish you the very best and look forward to your next vid.

Thank you a lot for your videos! you are the best resource in the internet about Medical School. Do you think it matters a lot what medical school a person goes to when applying to residency?

Honestly, depends on the residency. If you want family medicine, then no it doesn't matter at all but if you want dermatology then it could matter a whole lot. Most residencies will look at *you* however- what do your letters of recommendation say? What were your board scores? Do you seem like you'd be a good and pleasant employee? That kind of thing.

You probably do if you are at a 4-year university: look into a graduate school advisor. My large, public, poorly-funded university even had an advisor who specialized in medical school admissions. They should have tons of information for you, ideas on how to strengthen your application and neat tools like a place to store and send out your letters of recommendation. Likely at no charge. I will answer what I know, but I'm limited in what I know and you deserve better. Good luck!

Got into my first choice! I'm staying at my current institution!!

They start you out at 0 on day one of med school, covering much of what you'd already been exposed to in undergrad. You may be at a small advantage during rotations since you'll know what kind of things practicing physicians like to have recorded but the real gold will be during the med school application process when you can say you have some experience. Good luck!
