You know, Cris was writing hit music for other people before we even heard his voice. We are so fortunate he decided to come out and perform his own music. Turned out he has one of the top voices in a generation not to mention one of the great song writers / story tellers.
@@hyzeam505 Absolutely correct. Another guy that did that was Willie Nelson. Before he had an audience (the record industry hated his voice) he sold his songs, hit after hit, for a few bucks each. But Chris...he's just a different talent
The country, the story telling, The Blues , the emotional let down misery, The soul, real feelings of expressions. Country soul blues When you combine it together, it really resonates to the listeners
ima huge Chris fan. let's just remember this is live. let's give some props to the sound man. all the insterments, backup singers, Chris, his guitar? and to achive the blend of the music is phenomenal
Those hats were "in" back in the 70s/80s time frame, my dad had a couple. And people used to hang those "alligator clips" with the feathers on the hats. The big image I recall from that timeframe was Richard Petty. He wore hats like those. But everyone did.
In my lifetime there's never been anyone that can "own" as many genres as he can. And only a few can reach inside you with a 3 minute song and squeeze like Chris. His writing and vocals are nearly unmatched at this point.
Really enjoy you guys and your channel. Saw Chris live at the University of Kentucky Kroger field last year and he was amazing. I'm a fan of any type of music genre when you can feel the passion and Chris is the definition of passion when it comes to writing and performing. Being raised in the same area that Chris grew up in (Eastern KY), you not only hear these songs, but you feel them. Something about those Eastern Kentucky boys and girls and their music. (Stapleton, Sturgill Simpson, Tyler Childers, Keith Whitley, Loretta Lynn etc). Edit: Chris has been around for a lot longer than most realize. Before he took off on his solo career, he was part of a few bands (Steeldrivers and Jompson Brothers) as well as a freaking amazing career as a songwriter.
@@RedHeart1 that concert originally was scheduled for April 2020 but Covid shut it down for two years. I sat on those tickets for two years and the concert did not disappoint! Something else that should be known about that concert is that all proceeds were given to Eastern Kentucky flood victims. Chris giving back to his people.
Chris shared during a post-Grammy Q &A, he wrote the song with his bassist, guitarist, and drummer while they were “backstage jamming” during a recent tour. A backstage throw together song.. just incredible...
I can’t imagine how that would feel live ❤ His song “Fire Away “ is very emotional. I know you like to do the studio version first and I think that would be perfect . The video represents what the song is about very well. The live version is the only way I listen to it now but I’m glad I saw the video first.😊
Chris...what a great voice!! He is fourth on my list after ELVIS P., ANGELINA J. and DONNA SUMMER!! …These four singers are so GOOD vocally that I can't find the right words to describe it!!! ✨🎸✨ Thank you
Ok you want to watch his live performances which sound better than his recordings. 1. Live impromptu performance of It’s A Man’s, Man’s, Man’s World 🌎 2. Sometimes I Cry 😢 live at the Bing Lounge 3. I Was Wrong live at Austin City Limits 4. Cold 🥶 live at the 2021 CMA 5. Hold On duet with H.E.R. at the CMA’s I think 2020. 6. Medley Duet with Justin Timberlake of Tennessee Whiskey 🥃/I Can’t Drink You Away CMA’s not sure of the year. 7. Live Duet with Jennifer Hudson at some awards show can’t remember the songs. 8. Tennessee Whiskey live performance at Austin City Limits. 9. Official Music Video Fire Away 10. Official Music Video Say Something Duet with Justin Timberlake. 11. DeathRow live performance at some country music awards show. 12. Live performance with Stevie Wonder and Smokey Robinson There’s much more and before he became a singer he was a master guitarist and songwriter for many famous artists across genres so you probably know his work. You can Google that and get a list of songs and artists. I’m still working on that.
Thank you for another lovely reaction, you just can't go wrong with Chris, all his songs are great. Please listen to (even if you don't react, because it is really enjoyable) Chris' song Fool Me Again, it is live from when he was younger.
Great reaction once again! Yall should check him out if you get the chance. He is awesome live and it's just amazing how much sound his 3pc band puts out! Have a blessed one!
I so appreciate watching your discovery! Highly recommend a new sound for y’all! Chris was in a Bluegrass Band… Steeldrivers - If It Hadn’t Been for Love I thin y’all would appreciate the musicianship of Bluegrass…All Acoustic Instruments and Harmonies
LP is another amazing performer who always wrote music for famous singers, all the while, being mind blowing talented themself. check out ....... LP ... Lost ON You (live) and LP's cover of Beyonce's ... Halo. .. which was also performed live. Just incredible I promise.
You guys are tough. I don't think I've ever seen anyone who wasn't already visibly gripped from the very first word. Actually the first few notes but for sure the first word. I'm with those who were. "...suited for this type of song". Excuse me what? I'm sorry, are you new to Chris Stapleton? 🤣
Great reaction!!! Loved your facial expressions! I would suggest this performance with Chris and his wife Morgane. ruclips.net/video/YcHL0kUFPhw/видео.html
Beautiful song , Chris Stapleton sings, and you can feel his pain😢❤
He is a once in a lifetime writer, singer and performer.
He did the same performance at the Grammys about 2 months after this… the Crowd Absolutely Loved It!!
You know, Cris was writing hit music for other people before we even heard his voice. We are so fortunate he decided to come out and perform his own music. Turned out he has one of the top voices in a generation not to mention one of the great song writers / story tellers.
That still blows my mind.
We didn't know that! Thanks for the comment!
@@barsandbarbells2022 yes he is amazing, anyone from Luke Bryan to Adele to Kenny Chesney and even George Strait. He wrote them all

The desperation in his voice breaks your heart. The violins sound like crying. Great reaction
Soon as he says 4 lines... look at how the words hit HIM
his guitar work reminds me of bb king
Just saw Stapleton on Saturday. Hes a BAAAAD man! 🎸🎸🎸
The country, the story telling, The Blues , the emotional let down misery, The soul, real feelings of expressions. Country soul blues
When you combine it together, it really resonates to the listeners
he brings the "feels"..
He is on FIRE!!
Can’t beat this and his performance!!
One of the greatest live performances of all time! Nice reaction!
Thank you! It was mind blowing!
Chris Stapleton - Sometimes I cry, live at the Bing Lounge. You can thank me later, just put in on the list, ahh, near the top.
ima huge Chris fan. let's just remember this is live. let's give some props to the sound man. all the insterments, backup singers, Chris, his guitar? and to achive the blend of the music is phenomenal
You need to watch "Sometimes I Cry" and "I was wrong" live performance. Unbelievably good!
He will make you feel all of his songs. Bet you can't find a bad song.
His voice is great but the imagery in his songs is exceptional.
Chicks Dig Chris! What do you think? After he sings, women will take him back, period!
Great reaction. I agree, the strings and piano etc complimented Chris beautifully
Sounds just as good or better live. That's not true of many artists. 😊
This is a throwback to Philly soul, music from the late ‘60s-70s. Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes, The O’Jays, Teddy Pendergrass. Worth a listen

It’s inexcusable to be that talented

Two songs by Chris you have to check out. “More of you” not well known and “Death Row”. It’s a shame these never got more airtime, a pure shame.
You should check out him singing "Sometimes I Cry" in the Bing Lounge. You can here the pain in this song.
I’m convinced Chris was possessed by the ghost of James Brown when he made this song.
Great Reaction GUYS

You would enjoy the song farther along with Chris Stapleton his wife migraine and the late actor Leslie Jordan
You MUST react to Whiskey and You (LIVE version) also Death Row is another good one!!❤
When possible, do live videos. I’ve got a ton of suggestions.
