Great video and the band looks stunning and very premium. Not sure if it is, but looking at the area next to the clasp, it looks like there is a half sized link, can you confirm if it is, and also how many half sized links there are on the band please. I'm torn between this band and the Nomad.

You know what? You are absolutely correct! It does look like those are half-links and they both (two of them) look like they have the arrow indicators on the underside. So that means you can, I believe, remove them. Good eyes!

@@Hightechdad Thanks for the reply. That's good to know, as I know with the Nomad band, there are no half sized links on their band. But I have read a few things online which also say this (and I had this confirmed by emailing Nomad) that if you get the Nomad band and you can't get the sizing right, you can contact them with your name, address and order number, and they will ship some half sized links out free of charge.

I ordered the grade 2 and had to send it back as it scratched when I took it out the box and put it on. I now have the Nomad band it’s it’s been great.

That’s too bad. I have the Sandmarc grade 4 for a month now and no issues!

Nice review. I’m curious about the clasp as compared to others… whereas the band is titanium, many clasps are steel and scratch easier. The design of this one looks like the titanium band covers the clasp and maybe protects it from scratches? Would love your opinion. 😊

Thx for the note. So the clasp itself is inward facing so it is somewhat protected. What I’m not sure about is the final link that holds the clasp (if that makes sense). But overall, after almost 6 months, mine looks great!

Definitely the nicest setup! I’ve been looking at it , but dang $329 😬 guess it’s not too bad lol . Imma buy it anyway.

Agree. It is a bit expensive. The lower grade one is always an option. I do like the higher grade and I’ve been using it for a few months now.

@@Hightechdad I would only buy the grade 4 it’s way nicer and thicker.

Thank you for the very informative video, lots of helpful information as well as being entertaining at the same time.
I have a question about the waterproof nature of this product as it’s stated as having a stainless steel clasp which would naturally corrode in water. Do you think this watch would be wearable in the shower and for ocean/pool swimming?
I love this band but would like a waterproof band so that it does not need to be removed for the activities listed above.
Any information would be very much appreciated, thanks again for the great content!

Great question. I’ve only had the band for a few weeks and I would defer to the SANDMARC website for more details. However, while the stainless is treated and protected supposedly, I take it off when I shower. And the recommendation for salt water is to rinse it off with fresh water as soon as you can. Only fabric or rubber bands are more “waterproof” in my opinion.

@@Hightechdad Thanks for the reply. I have since done some more research and have decided to go with a titanium band from Bandwerk. It is quite a new product (currently in pre-order) so there isn’t much information about it online currently, but it seems to be of a higher quality than Sandmarc’s and Nomad’s bands being that it is grade 5 titanium and finely machined.
Thank you for the great content and I appreciate your time in responding to me, will definitely be back for future reviews :)

Does the band style when the watch vibrates?

    Will it easily get scratched?

The Grade 4 titanium seems to be quite scratch-resistant. I don’t see any scratches on mine!
