- Ciudad Libertad is a short documentary that focuses on a group of young Cuban skateboarders trying their best to bring up the sport and establish a skating community in their city, Havana, a place with little to no access to the resources and equipment needed to participate. Filmed in an impressionistic style, driven by imagery and music, this short documentary is deeply rooted in the textures and colors of Havana. Also featuring professional American skaters Steve Nesser and Tabari Cook, and an original score by experimental DJ and producer Andrew Broder (Fog). Featured in issue 005 of Greenroom Magazine.

7:00 es una gran verdad. El skate es transformador y salva la vida de muchas personas que están en situación de vulnerabilidad o entornos delictivos.
La mayoría de skaters cubanos piensan que en los barrios de otros países a los skaters nos entienden, nos aceptan y que no nos miran como bichos raros y nos echan de los sitios :D y que hay skate shops en cualquier sitio, con montón de stock… Deberían darse cuenta que su escena es muy parecida a la de otros lugares y que por culpa del bloqueo no llega material.

no es el comunismo, es EEUU quien te tiene sin material por culpa de su inflación provocada, la escasez de divisa y el golpismo. Y no seas tan mentiroso que en Caracas hay skate shops a patadas, incluso de marcas oficiales. Hay más tiendas que en mi ciudad, y vivo en la capital del País Vasco…
