You have such a great family. I am glad you have your son, and I think your nephew coming up to help you now and then keep the business going in the future. I enjoy your videos.
Cell phones and internet have leveled the playing field in antiques, as a dealer I can know what things are actually selling for and buy and price based on real data. Also some things are going up or down and we evaluate monthly our prices to be sure we are fairly priced. I always encourage folks to take photos of anything they might be interested in because I know if they do research? Wwe will have the best price...and if they are looking at the 'designer/decorators webistes? we look like we are bargain basement priced.
Hello. Not a question but a suggestion. While we do love you Jacob, 6:53 I wonder if there is a way to have a microphone during the whatnot sales, over by the other people in your sales. We can only see and hear you. I enjoy Lucas, Janet, Audrey, and now Liza. Also I feel It would really help with sales if we hear the computer person saying RUNNING when it starts. But the interaction with everyone would be valuable too for sales and for entertainment. We really can’t hear them when they sometimes answer questions. And obviously can’t see them. Thanks for listening….
01:33 Claret jugs - describes what went into them rather than whodunnit. (claret is a type of wine.) Jimmy called himself a worker bee. Just as well, since Mamaw had the queen's crown on.
Oops! Don’t know a company named Claret Claret was the anglicized name of a French term for a reddish wine that became popular in England centuries ago - hence the ‘claret’ jugs that identified them much like bottle names nowadays.

The downside to it all is mailing it out. Does Lucas ever complain?
