Thanks for highlighting that carnival glass booth. I must confess I’ve never been too excited about carnival glass. When I visited the Heart in September, that booth was a game changer. So many exquisite examples in one place made me stop and admire them.

Lucas doesn't know Fram oil filters..dang he's a baby. The last sign, Standard, was Standard Oil. He was right to tell his uncles to behave; with the right stimulus, a lot of antiquers revert to 12 year-old status. Those two...just about anything is the right stimulus!

My husband encouraged me to collect and buy what I liked over the 48 years we had. I went in so many different directions with my coke collection that I had to box it all up. We collected signed books together. I’ve been buying a lot of Murano, paperweights, silver jewelry the last couple of yrs. Since he passed away. I’ve enjoyed your videos and I learn a lot. My collections are my grandmother and Aunt’s that I have inherited and added to. Sadly my kids don’t want them 😊.

I collect a certain color of glass & I have decanter with the stopper from Italy, a Fenton hobnail rose bowl & a antique biscuit jar all in a dark green. I have a small collection of Fenton( including the rose bowl, I have 4 pieces).

I collect jewelry. Some of it is "stuff to resell" and some is "mineminemine". What I collect is what "sings", usually older than I am but not necessarily. It's also usually worth a lot more than I paid, out of necessity. For you, collect what "sings" to you, not something you think will be worth money in the future. My late dad collected anything with a train on it, because trains "sang", especially anything live steam. Spent a fortune, and my mom sold them after he died for a pittance because they'd bottomed out. I have a friend who collected a rock or two. He picked up one in Israel and the guide had to make sure it wasn't an artifact. "WHy do you want that? It's from here." He still has that rock.

Great topic guys! We are resellers now & started by selling off some of our collected items we didn't want anymore. We still collect its the hunt that is fun & brings joy to look items you love. But you have to get rid of the items sitting around your house that you don't want or it gets to be too much to handle! With the extra selling money we now will be traveling as snow birds next winter.
