I like how while everyone is having a hard time keeping a straight face while Don read Bloodworth is just stone faced cold the entire time! This would have also been an excellent time to shout out release me, even though it's not a press release! 😆
After Dig-Dug II's disastrous train wreck, Taizou Hori was fired from his job at UGSF, which eventually led to Tobi "Kissy" Masuyo's (main heroine of Baraduke) and Taizou Hori's divorce (literally), with their children being shared into separate custodies, which led to Susumu Hori (Taizou's and Tobi's son, main hero and the primary protagonist of "Mr. Driller") being heavily influenced by his mother and despising his father in the official lore and continuity. *The More You Know.* P.S. They somewhat (a bit) "reconciled" (thanks to Hiromi Tengenji, main heroine of Burning Force) and got back together, at the end of Namco X Capcom, though.
I definitely think that zero votes in hall of shame should mean that they're forced to bring it to the next hall of greats! Suggested it on the last hall of shame and I think it would be brilliant! It's an incredibly high stakes way to make sure that people only bring in the truly shameful. Also, the fanfic was definitely something, feels like Don and Damianis parts would have been the exact same regardless of what came before. They were dead set on telling the stories they wanted to tell and I'm here for it!
Haha who suggested the fanfic story? I did not expect find out Don has such a great command of language this way but ill never forget that lol. Great presentation for hall of shame too
Man, Final Fantasy XIV 1.0 was overhated imo and while there's plenty to enjoy about ARR and beyond, I still think there was a lot lost by the complete course-correction. Even stuff like a lack of an auction house and other cumbersome aspects are something I really like in an MMO because they force a more close-knit social structure. The interface was bad and I wish it wasn't quite as slow and annoying as it was, but I really liked the aspect of going shopping, browsing the stores to see what they got and picking something up on a whim because who knows when you'll find it again. It also made the whole aspect of being a seller more of an interesting metagame, because you could find a way to establish yourself, become known as someone who specializes on certain wares or who is always found in a certain place selling certain things. And sometimes you might be able to sell things for higher prices in exchange for convenience. Like when in a game like Ragnarok Online someone puts their merchant directly in front of a dungeon entrance selling potions and other supplies at a decent profit because people will gladly pay more for not having to go somewhere else to grab cheaper ones. Making it harder to do all your crafting and stuff on your own also forced a whole economic network where people would have to fill a niche in the market or help each other out with the thing they specialized in, which is pretty cool for a game that implies a lot of social interaction in its genre description. I really wish they kept those aspects while polishing it up more, with more interesting environments, better performance, a better interface, etc. but still inconvenient enough to basically force people to collaborate and force interesting ways of solving these problems. When I use an auction house, I don't get to know the seller at all. It's so impersonal, not much different from if it was an offline RPG where I deal with NPCs. Generally speaking I really hate how much ARR actively sabotaged sociality. You couldn't even conveniently go leveling together. You didn't need a party for anything outside of the things that have matchmaking anyway and even if someone wanted to, they couldn't really do much to help you. It was more inconvenient to have someone follow you around and give you a hand than to do it on your own because you couldn't get into instances together and even had to manually disband and re-make the party you were in. What's the point? Where's the sociality? Where are the bonds? Where is the multiplayer? It's just a sightseeing tour with the added inconvenience and background noise of people who are on the same tour, everyone's eyes looking where the tour guide (quest marker) is pointing, pretty much no interaction with the other people around you, just that you sometimes have to wait a second longer to get to your seat on the bus that takes you to the next location. I really wish this wasn't the standard for MMORPGs in general (thanks, WoW) and even if it had to be, I wish FFXIV had the courage to carve its own niche away from that standard instead of becoming just another single player RPG with chattery background noise and multiplayer side content
You guys need to do more reviews. I'm a fan from way back in the GameTrailers days I still think you do the best reviews in the gaming industry... you just do so few of them.
Outta control Don. He’s a dad btw 😂😂
Imagine his kids watching this when they're older.
Don's part in the fan fic was absolutely hilarious
27:58
Chat was going crazy during the live stream. lol
He's actually a shockingly good writer. I never knew where his descriptions were going.

I’m losing my mind as Don reads. So funny.
Brad’s and Damiani’s reaction to Don’s part in the fan fiction was too funny.
Don MIGHT be the greatest author of all time . . .
Embracer Group gets my vote
Bruh i haven't laughed so hard at a RUclips video in years. Yalls reaction to the fanfic was hilaaarious😂😂😂
The Doom slayer/ Isabelle fanfic sounds like a exquisite corpse play.
Jesus, what a trip.
5 nominations isn't enough for this system. I think we really needed Gabby on this one
The extra chip was either Brad or Don. Everyone else put theirs in one at a time.

Always thought Huber was a good person and then he said that about the Wii U. It's "Swimming in 7s" the console 😅
How did Jirard's Open Hand Foundation not make the list?
Not a videogame! Hope that helps
Isla sounds absolutely hammered in the beginning, lol.
Huber shaking down blood about last time he washed his hands hahah
Wish gabby presented a game, and missed isla as well! Also fan fic was hilarious, love you all! Always love watching Don sabotage his own presentation
DigDug 2 on a small Ms. Pacman machine could pay for so many copies of Skull & Bones
Sad wasn't hall of greats especially with brad leaving
COCKADEMON!
Looking forward to the day this group tackles "Sonic R"
So who had 7 chips?? Figured someone woulda went back and listened. Not it!!
I LOVE THIS! Slayer + isabelle 4 ever :)))
Explicit Don.

Now that Ben is gone no one will ever bring Capcom Fighting Jam/Evolution to hall of shame.
I love Don 😂
Good show
Love these videos. But Why doesnt Gabby get a nomination in?
Gabby's our community manager, not a writer / producer. So she doesn't have to get involved in stuff like this if she doesn't want to.
-Bloodworth
I love Dig Dug II
The Doom slayer/ Isabelle fan fiction deserves a spot in the hall of shame
Huber going crazy over the Aliens game. Probably gave it a 7
Hey I like Dig Dug 2.
No nomination from Isla?
Isla was out sick. -Bloodworth
Huber saying '25 needs a home run TV show. Andor s2 got pushed back to 2025 release, and by all my math will be better than both GTA VI and Avatar 3
Too far, Don. Too far.

Ya boy ben was carrying the squad in terms of reviews. Finally realized he was doing all the work & dipped.
Love this team. So glad I don’t have to make real friends outside.
Well it was a good run.
14:55 is that a Harry Potter reference? lol
Is Isla ok? Unusual to not see her in the studio.
Just a little under the weather. -Bloodworth
