You know that house that you exit at the end? It's possible to enter the house without doing the Gullet, despite the door being chained. If you look in a window in the NW corner of the house, you can just see a sofa. If you're not in power armour, the window allows you to get just close enough to a sofa where you can sit, basically teleporting you through the window. You can then loot the place, unhook the chained door & leave. (However, if you go through the basement door, you immediately encounter a hostile Glowing One and its minions.)
It's so cute all the new players discovering things make me nostalgic back when I played for the first time in 2015 boy I wish I could experience it in new all over again.
@@brya6270Try putting you gun away. He'll stomp and throw dirt but shouldn't attack. I drop bramin for him. I haven't tested it, but I wonder if it acts differently if you return the egg from the Witch's museum (I usually do) or sell it to the butler bot.
@@UncleStevie8er To be fair, the multiple times I was there, the death claw was always engaged with other enemies fighting them. A few other times I killed it in various ways. Next time I’ll try to walk up and pet it. Definitely been my go to game since it came out with a few thousand hours into it. Exploring, fighting, building and much more. Great stuff as far as I’m concerned. Bethesda I get it has other things to work on but they be been ignorant on capitalizing on a great game. Hire more people do what ya have to do. I’d like to see this new one before the world ends and not getting any younger!!
I found the sinkhole on my second play through I was fighting a the death claw at the entrance and started baking up while firing with a mini gun. Next thing I know I got a loading screen and an angry mutated deathclaw in hard mode on the other side of the door at the end.
Found tbis plave by complete accident on my first playthough if you go in the water without power armour the water flow takes you into the hole weather you want to or not hahah a was so paniced at the time tbi kin a was gonna get killed only to see a loading screen instead of a death screen hahaha
@@Arthurm25, That's not what I'm asking... I know you can go there without a quest, did that myself. However, I find it hard you can walk past that 1,000 times without ever getting that quest...
It is a synth looking for the way to bunker hill. A random encounter, going trough the sinkhole activates this random encounter spot. But only the first time.
Go to Bunker Hill and ask the bartender for a job. You’ll end up finding a cowboy hat at the Sinkhole.
It’s actually a minute man cowboy hat
Well, there's Grandpa Savoldi...but where's his hat?
The hat won't show up until you do the grandson's quest.

There is a quest that takes you there.
That is a side mission. The skeleton on the rock has a hat. Return it to the bar owner at Buncker Hill.
