Anniversary Trip to Japan (Tokyo, Hankoné, Kyoto) - The Noken Experience

- So it's our 2nd wedding anniversary and we thought it would be cool to go somewhere for it. Last year we went to Sri Lanka (check those vlogs out if you missed them) and this year we hit Japan; Tokyo, Hakone and Kyoto to be exact. Was 8 days and went by suuuuuper quickly, but so happy to have checked out that part of the world as it's been on my bucket list for years.
We used this really amazing app called Noken to plan our trip. Literally took all the guess work out of the planning and for a country that is supposed to be very hard to navigate, and made our lives beyond easy.

I can't describe how amazing the country is and only from the little we got to see of it. We left super inspired and have a ton of ideas now about all sorts of things, from new business ideas, to manners and how to navigate life. Put Japan high up on your list if it isn't already!

Brendan, it seems like you follow the principles in that book, the secret. You always seems so grateful for the blessings that come your way, and you tend to look on the bright side. I do however understand why Hannah was annoyed. It's nothing like losing your bags, but I love the part where you reminded Hannah how blessed she is.

American subscriber in Japan here-love the vlogs. Guard in Hakone (and it’s spelled this way without an accent-check your title) was telling you that big buses were coming along so be careful. I would have recommended taking the Odakyu line Romance Car to Hakone since you can get it in Shinjuku without the need to travel to Tokyo St. and I would have saved the Shinkansen for going to Kyoto. Love Hakone-glad you got to see it. Kamakura is worth a visit and Yokohama next time. Glad you enjoyed Japan so much!

Then thought you guys were cute and checked out a couple other videos. Wish my husband and i had the money to travel. Congratulations, really lovely trip. I totally understand having lost luggage as I lost luggage (but never recovered my bag) on a trip to Beijing... what's funny is I only miss one dress that was in that bag. The experience has totally changed the way I pack forever. My tote always has a change of clothing, so as never to be stuck, along with my toiletries. I don't travel like I did back then but that's how I always role now.
