There is a place where you can enjoy a variety of Kyoto's food all in one place. That is Nishiki Market, known as "Kyoto's kitchen. In this video, I would like to show you how much it costs to eat until you are full while strolling around Nishiki Market.

I am not particularly amazed about spending money for the wife, but that Shogo puts in so much thought what she could like based on her personal taste. I bet Harumi was very happy when she received those gifts, even more so if she sees the thought process behind. Always treat your loved ones with respect and try to make them happy.
I probably would spend my entire travel budget on that street alone.
Same
Same
It was great fun exploring this street with you! You've had many interesting videos this year. I think the success of your channel must be making you famous in Kyoto for you to have access to all these wonderful places and experiences.
I think it's so sweet that he buys souvenirs for Harumi.
The street food in Japan is so delicious my favourite street food is definitely Takoyaki! I love street food in Japan I die for happiness and the tastiness of it!
Just what I needed before arriving Kyoto exactly one month from now! :)
Another brit invading Japan? You should have a tea party with Chris and Connor
Dude, the kitchen ware and bamboo fans....muah...muah.. perfect
Very nice video! ”It’s a festival in your mouth” is probably my favorite line from the video. Thanks for sharing it!
I just added Nishiki Market in my itinerary, and after checking Google maps, I just learned that a Samurai museum is located near the market. 😁👍
I would die of happiness if I were ever so honored to visit Japan.
dont. better plan is to go there, and not die!
Get a job and save for 3 to 5 months. It's really not that unrealistic of a goal.
@@euomu If I wanted to go to japan for 3 months I could easily do it
I wanna stay in japan forever though which is difficult
I have a friend in Kyoto who took me to this market :-) He was particularly keen to show me a kombu (seaweed) stall that had been there for many years, it was the best kombu I have ever tasted
I think that matcha shop is manifested directly from my dreams. I will be in Kyoto in November, so it will definitely be on the top of my list!
Thank you so much for this!! I can’t wait to go to the pottery and matcha stores when I visit
Although we could only be in beautiful Kyoto for 2.5 days, we greatly enjoyed our time in your city! Next time, Shogo, we hope to stay longer. Thank you for your fabulous videos.
i love that there were things in nishiki market that were new to you guys.
I love your smile as it makes your presentation so much more enjoyable. Thank you for videos
Oh mygoodness , that pottery shop . I need a tea pot and tea cups for the family. We only drink tea and water. And that taco looked amazing. I'm a huge lover of squid , octopus, shrimp , oysters, crab.
I've got to make a trip to Kyoto with my family.
I really enjoy your videos, thankyou for always making them and keeping us entertained!
That was such a great video loved it!
Shogo-san, if you keep showing us places like this my future trip budget is going to be out of control!
i ENVY YOU!!! this looks like such a fun little food stall crawl and your content is SO informative :>
aah this video is a godsend!! i'll be in kyoto in a month and change and i cant waiiitttt!!!!
Now I’m hungry but can’t enjoy that food ! That’s amazing, great video please more like it.
Yes ! More shogo and kazu adventures
Loved this video style! I’m excited to go to Kyoto in 3 weeks~
So interesting and informative
Love the video! I'm planning to visit Kyoto in December.
I watched many videos of Nishiki market but you managed to show new things😮 So it was super interesting to watch
All that food looks so delicious!🤩
Dude …. I love your channel
Amazing video! The other day when I was traveling here in the US I spent around half the food total in this video just for dinner and some coffee. It was okay, but I've learned just how much better I would have eaten if I had been there in Kyoto!
I'll put this in my travel wish list! I hope to return to Japan someday!
This was so fun going shopping with you. You both make me laugh. I will never make it to Japan but this was the next best thing to it. Thanks again I enjoyed this video very much from Boise Idaho USA
Great video, Shogo!!
This is definitely on my list of places to go
Another must visit place
I do love Japanese foods is amazing and the variety of different flavors they have for each dish is amazing and delicious
Great channel
seriously your English is perfect.
It’s not, but thank you anyways😉
What a fun day!! The food looked so delicious! The octopus on a stick looked a bit scary! But I would definitely munch on a tentacle. 😄
Yes it looked a little scary for me too😅 But the taste was great!
I remember when we were in Kyoto in 2019 we went to this shopping district and it was so fun! There was this shop that had diffrent flavored sodas and was made to have a 50's malt shake vibe and then we went to the ninja muesuem which was also a ton of fun!
I need to save more money for food in Japan. Watching this I felt I was there a bit. Luckily didn’t feel as hungry as I watched it whilst eating my homemade sushi and kabocha soup 😂
Loving Kazu’s commentary and expressions.
Cool, i was looking for new foods to try near the house with the wife. Usually 寺町is our go to area but i think we will swing by Nishiki market. I wanna try out the たこたまご.
Nishiki Market! I can't believe it's been a year since I visit. I miss this market.
What a nice family! That baby is adorable...
The tempura and deep fry looked delicious.😋
Wow, food is amazing, I really want to try it 😀
For less than $100, as of rate exchange today, you had all you wanted to eat and some really cool souvenirs! To me that is reasonable.
This market is really worth visiting in Kyoto 👍👌😊
Im craving those already
Fun live video of yours. Untypical of your channel so its refreshing.
I need to try more of these now that I live here
I really liked Nishiki Market when I went in 2019. I'm looking forward to get back there in November :)
The matcha place and the one that had unagi would be my top places that I want to go to.
The matcha place especially, I've loved very much for a long time!
Wow I would love to visit your lovely Japan. You make me so happy 😊. I am from Trinidad and Tobago it is my dream to to taste your delicious food.
My favourite types of video 🙂
13,000 yen is rather nice, especially since about 70% of that were gifts, so a rough guess of about 5,000 yen for food. Quite a deal for everything that was eaten and with all the variety as well as the freshness of the food. The toss up for me would have been the fish sushi market with the 400 yen options, or the first market with the beef sushi. Honestly though, for everything that was paid for this outing, it was relatively inexpensive.
Thank you for showing us around through the eyes of the camera, and I hope the souvenirs are enjoyed by all.
Haven't had tako since I was a kid. The egg interior is a very interesting idea.
i wanna go there n eat all the things after seeing this ahhhh
I want to visit this street so badly, the food looks amazing
Thank you thank you thank you🎉🎉🎉🍻
Wow! I was there not even a week ago! 😍
I like it when you order food and we get to hear the conversation. How much do you think we can learn regarding basic phrases and listening to interactions in Japanese towards learning and interacting with shop keepers?
I'm listening to how Shogo-san orders food so I can use the same phrases when I go to Japan 😆
Hi shogo I forgot to mention I got my first Iaido Katana and I am in love with it 😍😍😍😍😍
The best part about traveling is the various food I can eat!
Thank you for the great video! What is the name of the fish shop with the salmon, sashimi skewers and sushi?
I'm going to get rid of so much money in Japan, also in terms of food. I love food (especially fish). It will be a long time before I ever make it to Japan. Until then, I'll save up and learn Japanese.
The 400 Yen one drives me crazy. How could it be so cheap and looks so fresh and yummy?!
It all looks so delicious now I have too get some food to curve my hunger
😋
this is making me very hungry
I soo want to visit Japan
I'm sorry but this takotamago freaks me out 😳 It may be very delicious, but i certainly will never know 😅
The fans were very pretty 😍 definitely need to go to nishiki next time I visit japan 🤗
I have eaten less than 2% of Japanese foods my whole life. Literally.
And this video makes me want to eat more Japanese foods
Hey Shogo - - THANKS,. :)
I hope they are still doing the wagyu sushi by the time I get to visit Kyoto, it looked delicious 🤤
Thanks for introducing us to some amazing shops and food in Nishiki. Could you tell us how long you took to walk through and what time of day you went?
I gotta come to Kyoto and chow down with Shogo-san.
Nishiki Market was great! Clearly, it is a fun experience and a chance to explore Japan. Ask too many シマリス? 😃
Second like:)
Hi Shogo!
Any vegan friendly places in Kyoto?
Love your vids, peace!
19:58 haha adorable
I would like to try all the seafood in that market
This was really great and obviously tasty. I loved the Octopus with Mayo in Hokkaido. The dried Ika also with Mayo at the bar What a snack! We were on a ship that hung out in Yokosuka Japan every three months or so and once went to Hokkaido for a week in the winter. The hot baths were amazing too, what an experience. Retired old men scraping the ice off the sidewalks in front of hotels with what looked like hoes. French influenced town Never got enough of that place Thanks Shogo and friends - you ate so much for our pleasure
Thank you for your video on Duolingo. I started studying Japanese. Please make videos about other Japanese language learning apps/books. A lot of other RUclipsrs and blog writers are sponsored by one of the app companies. I trust your opinion.
Shogo, when are you starting your tourism business? I’m ready to begin planning my trip!!!
there's a lot of delicious food all over japan.
I see food I click XD.
may I ask please around what time you visited the market? it's not so crowded which i really like... im visiting next week. thank you
Samurai! Nihhon Kokku no mask!
👍👍👍👍👍👍
Wow! This looks delicious! Is the beef raw in the sushi? I am not sure sorry! In Japan, is it safe to eat raw beef?
I wanna come here after not eating for 3 days.
Hello 😊
What time of the day did you go to avoid the crowd ? Thank You
kazu was probably very sad not being able to enjoy the food with you 😂
😊
I was drooling while watching this video, hehe... So much delicious food!
I love that clear mask too! It looks like you can actually breathe in that thing! 😅
recommendations for ryokans in Kyoto
I just started learning Japanese on Duolingo some days ago . Can u pls gimmie some tips on how to learn faster
Octopus is delicious. Wonder what the egg tastes like with it
Are there vegan fare as well? I wish to prepare my snacks before visiting,if not.
