I consider John and Sun-Hee to be the best episode of The Boys: Diabolical. The story was so deep and the art first-class. I especially enjoyed the last moments where Sun-Hee becomes a true hero like they are supposed to be. This and all the other messages such as how one must face their fear and how it is important to do the right thing made this episode stand out from all the other episodes. Boyd in 3D ist the second best episode, as it reflects on Social Media and how it gnaws at a persons self-worth. An Animated Short is my number three because the humor and the unstressed nature. Then comes One Plus One equals two - this canon episode shows us how much of a tragic character homeland is. He could be a much better person than he is if had not had such a traumatic past. I'm Your Pusher seems to be canon to the comic and really grasps the nature of the comic series (obviously because Garth Ennis wrote the episode). Nubian vs Nubian could be the perfect pilot for a comedy series about superhero families. Laser Baby's Day Out is a great homage to the old cartoons such as Looney Tunes. I even enjoyed BFF pretty much and I ended up liking Sky very much, though it has indeed not as much quality as the other episodes. I enjoyed it nonetheless.
Man, I wish I liked Boyd in 3D as much as you but that “twist” ending ruined it for me. Actual good episode, until they used the tired “it was all a dream” trope that also felt identical to that black mirror ep a few years ago. Should’ve just kept the story as it was without that stupid twist.
@@emotionje4446 Agreed. It really ruined all the buildup for me. What’s worse people are actually saying that the twist ending works and that it adds onto the narrative lesson or some other shite 🤦♂️

I can't understand why they waste an episode in that piece of garbage "bff's".... There was a lot of people who could do a much better episode.... But in general all the other episodes were great
I thought the Kids killing their parents episode was the worst right there with the poop episode, I didn’t laugh one time just generic distracting humor that pauses the episode for a cheap joke.
To me, as good as the other episodes are, with Sun He and Boyd and Black Nior corrupting Homelander, it's I'm Your Pusher for me. For me I got into the show because of a friend and I eventually went back and read the comics and holy shit does I'm Your Pusher hit on every cylinder tell a story from the comics. I love Karl Urban but holy shit is Butcher Butcher in IYP. As much as I love the show there's something about seeing comics so perfectly brought to life
Here's the ranking in my opinion. 8-BFF (silly, light-hearted,a good chance of pace from the dark episodes but not much else to offer). 7 Nubian Vs Nubian (mediocre really, not great not terrible). 6 Laser Baby's day out (great at capturing the vibe of the old cartoons and mixing it with actual violence and gore). 5 Im your Pusher (it captures the best and worst parts of the Garth enis comic, Nihilism, unpredictable, tension but also overly edgy, rather cheap and almost curdboard cutout characters) 4 animated episode (unlikable but relatable and believable characters, underdog story, overall decent). 3. John and Sun hee( most likable and relatable protagonists, deals with the theme of loss and not wanting to let someone go, amazing artstyle, great action). 2 1 plus one Equals two (entire effective character arc for Homelander in such a short time, offers more information about him as a character and we learn how he became who he is , realistic, dark, believable overall great) 1 Boyd in 3D (this feels straight out of Black Mirror, dealing with modern technology and modern society themes, good message overall, Nihilism and a pretty great twist). Top 3 are very close in my opinion,4 and 5 are behind the top 3 but interchangeable with eachother. Bottom 3 were all kinda Meh for me.
Here's my ranking for each episodes of the boys presents diabolical show Ep 1 6/10 Ep 2 6/10 Ep 3 9/10 Ep 4 5/10 Ep 5 4/10 Ep 6 7/10 Ep 7 8/10 Ep 8 10/10
I felt the laser baby was the weakest of the show. When it comes to humor I found the absurdity of BFFs was enough to where it was enjoyable as a goofy thing. The best one imo was the Japanese one with the old couple as it had a good amount of emotional depth to it and the less jokey nature of most of these felt better imo.
I have to agree: BFFs was the worst episode for me for 2 reasons: 1. The main concept of it was disgusting 2. It was animated like an anime But I kinda liked the Seth Rogen cameo. However the best episode imo is ONE PLUS ONE EQUALS TWO, because it shows Homelander's backstory and his relations with Black Noir.
My ranking, worst to best BFFs Laser Baby’s Day Out An animated short where pissed off supes kill their parents Nubian Vs Nubian I’m your pusher Boyd in 3D One plus one equals two John and Sun-Hee
I'ma be real, I liked all of them. BFF's was just, as you said, lighthearted and silly, and the art was quite fun. I liked it a lot as a chaser for the more gruesome stuff prior.
I'm your Pusher and One Plus One Equals 2 was the best ones. Boyd is a good #1. Honestly though the Rick & Morty Episode was reaaaally annoying. It's right above the Poop episode though...
I am sorry but how the fuck can someone put fucking Laser baby episode over John and Sun-Hee? Haha laser baby cartoon funny vs A old couple coming to terms with her morality and accepting it, seriously?
Funny that you mention the Black Mirror episode, because honestly that's my biggest problem with the short. I hate the twist of "this is all in a character's mind as they're dying", as it defangs any commentary the story might have had. Suddenly it's not making a reflection or point about anything, it just loses its edge entirely for the sake of a one off joke at the end
Hard to believe “John and San-hee” (correct me if I said it wrong) was made and directed by Jake Peralta, the cop who made 5 men sing “I want it that way”.
Personally, asides from I'm Your Pusher and One Plus One Equals Two, they were all boring and quite frankly, bad. At least I'll give credit to Nubian vs Nubian because Nubia is an actual character in the comics. Same with Groundhawk, they're apart of the G-Men which is basically the comic's parody of X-Men.
I think episode 4 and the finale were by far the best. The other episode were silly and entertaining to watch, but these were the only 2 episodes that interested me to the overall story. When watching the others I forgot what I was watching at time lol. But I feel those two are in a different category and hopefully get a well made adaptation with the same director and animators.
I have to disagree about the laser baby though. It made me put off this series entirely and was pretty much just eye candy, which is not the reason I like The Boys. BFFs at least had some of the twisted s*!€ that makes The Boys Great
My rankings: - Good ones: 1. John and Sun Hee 2. BFFS 3. Boyd in 3D 4. Laser Baby Days Out 5. An Animated Short Where Pissed Off Supes Kill Their Parents - Decent Ones: 6. Nubian vs Nubian 7. One Plus One Equals Two - Bad One: 8. I'm Your Pusher
I'm your pusher was an amazing episode! The fact that they finally were able to have Simon Pegg play Hughie was amazing since he was designed to be based on him. And getting to see Jack From Jupiter outside of a comic was nice. I guess it's bad if you hate the comics? Personally, I think Laser Baby's day out is the weakest and closest to a bad episode.
The Boys is one of my favourite shows of all time, so I had to watch this. Overall, season one of Diabolical didn't do much for me, but it wasn't bad. It had its moments and some solid episodes. 1. One Plus One Equals Two - I got a lot out of this episode. It was great backstory, seeing when Homelander first came in to The Seven and how he originally actually wanted to be a hero, but seeing the start of his descent into evil. Seeing glimpses of his childhood was also worthwhile. I'm happy it's canon, it feels like an integral part of the main show's continuity. Great action as well. 2. An Animated Short Where Pissed Off Supes Kill Their Parents - The characters were good and it made me laugh a lot (especially the bit with Papers). Solid episode. Also made me very sad in some moments and had a deeper message. I feel bad for Ghost. My biggest issue was the flashback with the puppies, that was way too dark and unnecessary. Violence against puppies and babies should be avoided in fiction, I don't care if I sound like a soy boy saying this. Other than that, I loved the episode. 3. John and Sun-Hee - It's not as good as many make it out to be. I've heard some say it "transcends superhero content" - yeah, no. Just no. Just because it's sad doesn't mean it's all that. However, it is one of the better episodes of the show, with an emotional story and solid action, and characters that you feel for. 4. Nubian vs Nubia - A decent enough episode with a very true reality of divorce. Also a solid addition to the canon. I want more from Groundhawk, he's hilarious. 5. I'm Your Pusher - I haven't read the comics so it was cool to see a story set in that continuity. The episode itself was fine. 6. Boyd in 3D - Has a good twist but didn't really do much for me. Bro relied on Compound V when he shoulda just had some discipline and hit the gym (yes, I know he was hallucinating). 7. BFFs - Had some funny moments and The Deep's role in it was great. Awkwafina is quite funny so that was what carried the episode, her writing and voice acting. However, I wanted to fucking vomit. That was feces. Literal fucking feces that she had as her friends. She filled her room with feces. Quite a shitty choice of friends. Overall, gross-out humour just doesn't work and this is a perfect example of that. 8. Laser Baby's Day Out - It wasn't awful but it didn't do anything for me. I really value dialogue. I know there purposefully wasn't dialogue and that's the point and it's to pay homage to cartoons that don't have dialogue and have sounds and mumbling instead, but I don't care. Just because it was purposeful doesn't mean I liked it.
In my opinion, i disagree with this list almost completely (the poop episode is definitely a bad episode, it feels like one of those terrible series CN would have taken because of desperation and need of a show to fill an irrelevant spot) In my opinion: 1.-John and Sun-Hee: the animation is amazing, the story is great and the voice acting is perfect, it might not have comedy, but the whole episode is a beautiful experience and it's by far the best episode in Diabolical, it may just be the fact that i felt related with the history because i also lost someone important because of cancer but seeing that a lot of people in the comments also consider the episode great, i have to give it this spot. 2.-I am your pusher: i consider this episode as really good specially because of the animation, but the way it adapted the comics is amazing, and the whole scene of a drugged superhero basically losing control and crashing with another is really tense. 3.-Laser baby's day out: the episode is a great introduction, the whole style is definitely different with the rest of the series, but not in a bad way, it's actually a really funny episode. 4.-An animated short: the concept of these kids with terrible powers wanting to take revenge is really good, you see the episode and you instantly notice who was in charge. the comedy, the animation, the story may not be perfect or original, but it is recognizable and funny in its own way. 5.- One plus One, Equals two: to be honest, it basically felt good because of the relation with the series and how it actually felt like something out of it. 6.-Nubian vs Nubian: pretty good animation, but it was a boring story and a boring episode. 7.-Boyd in 3d: if Nubian vs Nubian was already boring, this took it to the next level, it basically felt like on of those teen commercials that always give the same "YOU ARE PERFECT JUST THE WAY YOU ARE", but extended into a full short that doesn't seem to get anywhere in the end. The poop episode: literally that's all, i think it's not necessary to explain why this episode is (literally) mostly shit.
My personal list from worse to best is: BFFs Nubian v Nubian Laser Baby’s day out An animated Short I’m your pusher Boyd in 3D One plus One John and Sun-Hee
I kind of don't understand why you'd put Laser Baby and an Animated Short above JOHN and SUN-HEE. John and sunhee had incredible artsyle, voice acting, music and story. don't know why u put it so low. but im glad u at least put BFFs last. now that one was trash and trying too hard to be an anime
Agree on the BFF one, that episode was literally shit, Sky's voice actor wasn't bad but the voice itself is the wrong one, she is supposed to be I'm guessing a 15-17 year old but they gave her a 37 year old nicotine addicted woman. The 1+1=2 (the cannon one) felt a bit odd, I didn't like Stillwel's portray here since it felt off, like not at all what she was in the main series, she talked too much and felt a bit less professional, I really do not know what's exactly wrong with her but meh who cares now. Homelander however felt right on the spot, it felt weird that he talked a lot and very corny like but it's a cartoon so it was expected

John and Sun-hee reminded me of the 1988 Japanese animated film Akira. And Laser Baby’s Day Out reminded me of Roger Rabbit and Baby Herman 😂
it really rings a bell for devilman crybaby to me
You know the show is good when one of the most well-written, yet depressing episodes, was written by ANDY SAMBERG
Tom I absolutely agree with you. It would’ve been much better if it didn’t have that cliched ending.
I agree 100% and I even thought about that black mirror episode while watch it as well!
It used to be my number 1 favorite episode but the ending really fucked it up so badly
@@emotionje4446 Agreed. It really ruined all the buildup for me. What’s worse people are actually saying that the twist ending works and that it adds onto the narrative lesson or some other shite 🤦♂️
I fully agree, it was gearing up to be my favourite episode probably but the twist left a bad taste in my mouth
Who else is 90% certain that the lazer baby from the first episode is the same one Billy Butcher used to kill some guards?
No
no, the one in the show has rights.
@@sheeeesh360 excuse me what-
Hahaha funny, this is the exact order I just text my buddy earlier today. Obviously I totally agree. Black mirror was the first thought I when I watch Boyd in 3D and was hoping more would have that kind of twist.
Good to hear! Yeah so true! Would have loved more with a twist in
No clue how everybody doesn’t have John and Sun-Hee at the very top…
It's boring and sappy
@@Brieftrager_Pat it has a story and a deep meaning it’s a change a pace. You must live a boring ass life doing the same shit everyday
@@hippoboy9793 so, thinking a story you like is boring makes me boring? Not very logical. Surely you're the boring one. Besides, it's the same thing we've seen countless times before.

I personally think Boyd in 3d’s ending was meant to show him after using all the compound v on his face to get famous, coming back to vaught, and having his face blown up because he used it too much
That's what I was thinking, such a sad story...

John and Sun Hee is the most heartwarming episode in this show. Sun Hee literally fight her cancer to save the others and used her power for good.
Laser Baby's Day Out , I am your Pusher and 1+1=2 are best for me
@Omniversal power scaler what I know is He's Less Powerful then Superman but unlike Superman Kryptonite are useless against him and if I lose I won't have second chance against him.
so I should have plan carefully against him and my plans are classified.
5 Im your Pusher (it captures the best and worst parts of the Garth enis comic, Nihilism, unpredictable, tension but also overly edgy, rather cheap and almost curdboard cutout characters)
4 animated episode (unlikable but relatable and believable characters, underdog story, overall decent).
3. John and Sun hee( most likable and relatable protagonists, deals with the theme of loss and not wanting to let someone go, amazing artstyle, great action).
2 1 plus one Equals two (entire effective character arc for Homelander in such a short time, offers more information about him as a character and we learn how he became who he is , realistic, dark, believable overall great)
1 Boyd in 3D (this feels straight out of Black Mirror, dealing with modern technology and modern society themes, good message overall, Nihilism and a pretty great twist).
Top 3 are very close in my opinion,4 and 5 are behind the top 3 but interchangeable with eachother. Bottom 3 were all kinda Meh for me.
Loved Boyd in 3D because it did remind me of play test-an episode I absolutely loved in black mirror!!

@@BrainPilot yeah it is man do ya like it?
@Golden Pug Studios I know bit still!
I have to agree: BFFs was the worst episode for me for 2 reasons:
1. The main concept of it was disgusting
2. It was animated like an anime
But I kinda liked the Seth Rogen cameo.
However the best episode imo is ONE PLUS ONE EQUALS TWO, because it shows Homelander's backstory and his relations with Black Noir.
I'm your pusher is just too much fun, it's the only episode i've gone back to multiple times.
Can't believe you rated John and Sun Hee so low, that was my favourite
That little black girl was pretty DIABOLICAL for threatening to label GroudonHawk as a p3do 😂
I personally thought the parent one was the worst
Andy samberg was ironically made a tearful episode
Tbh this show literally did the deep dirty
I think John and Sun Hee really should’ve been longer to work better. And as for BFFs I love Awkwafina but I think she could have done better

At times I feel like I'm the only one that thinks the "supes kill their parents lol" episode was a bit shite
this episode was so forced and unfunny 💀
Number 1 is epic all his hopes and desires flash before him !
Lazer Baby very Loony Toon
I'ma be real, I liked all of them. BFF's was just, as you said, lighthearted and silly, and the art was quite fun. I liked it a lot as a chaser for the more gruesome stuff prior.
The Rick and morty episode was one of my least favorites even though I love Rick and morty
Same honestly thought the first two were the weakest and it got better from there
I'm your Pusher and One Plus One Equals 2 was the best ones.
The worst thing that I have ever watched was the Bff’s episode! I hated it…… And still do.
Hard to believe “John and San-hee” (correct me if I said it wrong) was made and directed by Jake Peralta, the cop who made 5 men sing “I want it that way”.
boyd in 3D its in my opinion the worst shit ive ever seen, the best one is iam your pusher
How is laser baby's day out higher than john and sun-hee
I think episode 4 and the finale were by far the best. The other episode were silly and entertaining to watch, but these were the only 2 episodes that interested me to the overall story. When watching the others I forgot what I was watching at time lol. But I feel those two are in a different category and hopefully get a well made adaptation with the same director and animators.
I’m not surprised that BFF’s was The worst one in the list, it was written by Akwa Fina
In my opinion I’m your pusher was the best episode
My favorite was the Animated short where pissed off supes kill their parents
The worst one was definitely BFFs
I have to disagree about the laser baby though. It made me put off this series entirely and was pretty much just eye candy, which is not the reason I like The Boys. BFFs at least had some of the twisted s*!€ that makes The Boys Great
How dare you put John and Sun Hee at number 6 only

I'm your pusher was an amazing episode! The fact that they finally were able to have Simon Pegg play Hughie was amazing since he was designed to be based on him. And getting to see Jack From Jupiter outside of a comic was nice. I guess it's bad if you hate the comics?

1. An animated short.
what a garbage top two
Honestly only really liked one joke in BFFs

5. I’m your pusher
6. Nubian vs Nubian

laser babys day out was not better than john and sun hee
In my opinion, i disagree with this list almost completely (the poop episode is definitely a bad episode, it feels like one of those terrible series CN would have taken because of desperation and need of a show to fill an irrelevant spot)
In my opinion:
1.-John and Sun-Hee: the animation is amazing, the story is great and the voice acting is perfect, it might not have comedy, but the whole episode is a beautiful experience and it's by far the best episode in Diabolical, it may just be the fact that i felt related with the history because i also lost someone important because of cancer but seeing that a lot of people in the comments also consider the episode great, i have to give it this spot.
The poop episode: literally that's all, i think it's not necessary to explain why this episode is (literally) mostly shit.
in his origin story if homelander never blew up the gun the story could have gone very diffrent
My personal list from worse to best is: BFFs
Nubian v Nubian
Laser Baby’s day out
