I'm going to go a different direction and hope that the series wraps up with a "real" Dawn of the Seven battle where the Vought heroes and The boys end up having to fight together against a Vought created Doomsday creature that is programmed to kill supes. Having Homelander nobly sacrificing himself to save Ryan would be very ironic and gives him what he always wanted - A world that loves Homelander. The Boys would have to grin and bear it as a Homelander Statue is erected in front of the new Vought tower.
I really hope Butcher goes out with one final shot of V24. It was so exciting seeing him and Hughie using powers in season 3, and it would make for an awesome finale.
I hope he takes permanent V, manages to take away homelander’s power or kill him, but because of his extreme measures butcher turns into the villian himself because that’s what V does to you. And in the end Ryan has to stop him with hughie
What about radiation? We know that Soldier Boy's beam is a radioactive laser that can "fry the V out of supes". Would that mean that the primary weakness for all supes be radiation poisoning? Could one perhaps make bullets and bombs loaded with radioactive waste?
Well technically that radiation could be a special type of radiation and not just regular old radiation. Or the radiation is a very specific type. Mainly because if every supe could be killed through simple radiation poisoning then it would stand to reason that Frenchie would figure that fact out fairly quickly or at least mention it in season 1. It would have also mean that frenchie and butcher would have stocked up on radioactive isotopes.
@@speeddemon5339 Weapon grade nuclear material is actually very hard to come by. It's pretty simple to build a nuclear bomb, but enriching the isotopes is the hard part. Which is why the US tries to undermine iraqi efforts to build nuclear power plants, which as part of their operations produce weapon grade plutonium.
I love the idea of Homelander losing his powers and being reduced to the status of being a "mud person". It seems fitting to the core of the story destroy the core of his identity rather than kill him outright.
But he can always get new compound V though, like Kimiko. Unless they say something like he is too old now to take V and survive or something like that.
Personally I think Ryan will become just as evil as Homelander If not worse and kill his father like how Black Noir did In the comics and then will be killed by Butcher and the boys afterwards. I think Ryan will take Black Noir's role.
@slone. I don't think so. Butcher only has like 2 years at Max to live. So the story will be wrapped up before his death. Maybe it may come down to Homelander killing Ryan, but in the process gets significantly weakened by him, which will give Butcher the opportunity to finish off Homelander
If Vicky was able to blow up Homelanders head, she would’ve 1. Had absolutely no reason to betray Stan Edger. 2. Had absolutely no reason to fear for her and her daughter safety. 3. Would’ve killed him when he broke into her house. And 4. Would’ve killed him when he grabbed her by the neck ready to pop HER head off!!! The only conclusion I can come up with to why she let all that happen is simply homelanders the only person she can’t head-pop
I believe it has something to do with durability. She gave starlight a small taste with the nosebleed, and Tony noticed the nosebleed then realized she was trying to head pop him. Supe durability is inconsistent, so no telling what could happen

I’m pretty sure the version of compound V that explodes if you play the right frequency is already in Homelander. Edger was never afraid of him, and we know that it wasn’t because he had a clone disguised as Black Noir up his sleeve. So why was Edgar so chill? Because he knows he could blow Homelander’s mind with the push of a button. Before anyone says: that’s anti-climactic. You’re right. I think a TIC anti-climactic moment would be hilariously on-brand as being the opposite of hero cinema. It would also show (again) that Vought let the Supes kill kill kill kill but never cared about human life more than money. An allusion to real life big company greed.

I think he's really weakness is like Marvel's Gladiator. Huey, Solider Boy and Butcher don't make him bleed but, Mauve punches him and he's nose bleeds after hearing Solider Boy ejecting him. There's a deep secret there!!
After this season I do think a group of supes with abilities that can harm or counter or withstrain Homelander and someone who can at least keep up with Homelander physically for a while could kill him. He is very strong yeah but he can take damage from strong supes and is so narcissistic that he is clumsy and over confidant so he makes a lot of mistakes.
I was shocked to see Homelander be able to overpower 3 people on him all with super powers at the time, including his own father. He must have an extra potent version in his genetics.
Feel like soldier boy was a lil drained from the blast but yea 3 supes basically on top of him and he breaks free he surely is the strongest in the show by a fair margin it seems

I don't think it's that far fetched, Homelander's ear is already established to be irritateable by that sonic noise, maybe it is a weakspot of his. And with the strength of Maeve, it was just enough to permanently damage his ear.
Maeve was always strong enough to go toe-to-toe with Homelander, but she's been too scared of him (plus she was unsure if he could actually be harmed) to actually do anything about it. Once she saw his bruise post-Herogasm, she realised he could actually be hurt, so she was confident enough to take him on. Remember she's almost the same level of strength as Homelander, and I imagine an eardrum would be a vulnerable spot on even as durable a being as Homelander.
Ákos Körmendi - a piece of metal against homelander’s skin - would do nothing.. even with Maeve’s strength - it’d hurt him but it picturing his skin doesn’t make sense.. especially when she made the point of “I can train all I want - but the most I can do is get a good few hits in” Homelander was gassed up as so much more.. but NGL he’s so much weaker

I actually think that Grace having soldier boy, they'll be able to find a way to transfer his exploding ability to other supes or a special dose of compound V. They use the new item on Homelander and boom he's powerless. They won't kill him. They'll let him suffer by "bringing him to being inferior" like the rest of society. 👍🏽

Could've just used the mind-mover special technique to put Homelander in a nightmare loop of his worse fears. He's still a human and would eventually die from hunger and/or dehydration when in his comatose state. He has never been shown to be immune to psychic attacks and if psychic attacks can work on soldier boy then it could probably be effective against Homelander also.
The moment Soldier Boy mentioned that guy's power i thought "hey that could work on Homelander" although to be fair we don't know if Homelander can be killed by dehydration (Soldier Boy is implied to be immune to it since the Russians tried supposedly everything to kill him) and we also know that Soldier eventually broke out of the Illusion so it's not everlasting

Maybe vought can create a microbot that can continuously produce noise at 300-350 Decibels that can crawl into the human ear. They can use the opening they get from the mind mover or a supe with a similar technique to release one of these microbots in each ear of Homelander. The microbots must be durable of course and he wouldn't be able to reach them in the earholes. With his super hearing, the noise would be magnified to a level that would induce seizures and can even cause him to die from sensory overload. Possibly lol

Homelander doesn't know his exact birthday, but he does know he's about 40 years old. And he looks about 40 years old - a hot 40 years old, but 40 nevertheless. So we do know one thing that can kill him that couldn't kill Soldier Boy - old age. If you could manage to disorient Homelander long enough to get him on ice, his body would continue to age and eventually would start to physically break down in ways that Soldier Boy wouldn't. That being said, I wouldn't be opposed to Cindy wandering into the frame, killing him like it was nothing, and then f-ing off again as anticlimax.

I see a parallel with this show and Arcane. Both shows have a main villian who cares for his child and the child has to choose between his/her father’s side or the good character’s side...

Honestly, this season showed that homelander would actually be easy to take down if everyone got on the same page. One of the superpowers he doesn’t have which is a HUGE one is that he apparently doesn’t have any kind of healing factor, it took him about a week to heal a bruise on his face (that’s like regular human level). If next season he’s deaf in his left ear then we’ll know for sure he can’t heal.
The irony if the theory that Edgar had a sound based kill-switch all along is right BUT it's functionality is compromised by Maeve successfully making HL partially deaf would be *chef's kiss*.

Well V makes all supes more durable than normal humans. Hence why Hughie can fight with Homelander and not get one shot with temp V. As for suits… Edna?
Butcher definitely knew that he would at least get much higher durability and strength out of it, because practically every Supe has that on some level. In fact a huge majority of them are just plain bulletproof. When a guy's main thing is guns, you don't really need to worry much, especially since Butcher was already a prime physical specimen before the V, hence why on his third dose of it, he's already strong enough to at least contend with Homelander.
Who said Homelander will die? I think there are two other possibilities. One, someone comes up with Anti-V formula or take away his powers with Soldier Boys blood. However in the end, I think Homelander won't be killed, but he may not have powers.
I think your wrong on most counts. Let me break it down. 1. Exploding head/blood: Victoria TRIED to explode that Tony's head when they first started fighting and he was able to resist her. She then started injuring him in other ways to break his focus and make him vulnerable. It took most of her power to win that fight. Even unfocused Homelander would never be subject to that kind of cellular explosion. A super strong Maeve shoving a pencil in his ear doesn't mean he's weak to that form of attack. It just shows how strong Maeve is. Victoria snuck a little nose bleed in on Annie, but if put to the test Annie could overcome her. 2. Somebody crawling up Homelander's D would find similar failure. 3. Eyebeams. Those beams didn't pierce Soldier Boy, Homelander or Butcher's skin. At their level it acted more like a force beam, knocking them down. 4. Trolling: Like Madelyn, the Trolls would eventually reach the Homelander's breaking point. He would kill with rage and start over with whoever's left.
When you get down to it, he’s essentially just a super strong/durable human with heat vision. So in that respect a lot of things that could kill a person would probably kill Homelander. Lack of oxygen, cyanide pill in his milk, piercing through a vulnerable Oregon, like an eyeball or eardrum would probably be effective (although a bit messy for my taste). Heck, if your mission isn’t to kill him, but just to defeat him, anesthetic gas would be a very effective strategy as the guy still needs to breathe (presumably).
What I have noticed is that billy had laser eyes right, and Huey had teleportation, which kinda looked like super speed at first, so I think they got the powers of the people they hate the most. Maybe this is some indication that the more things they do, the more they are gonna end up like their rivals
That's interesting but I think its supposed to be a manifestation of their personalities, huey is avoidant and a bit of a coward so his ability allows him to run away easily And butcher is pretty much a less insecure homelander so he's overpowered and indestructible

I think an interesting angle not getting a lot of attention is how the public will react if Homelander is killed. He is adored by 99% of the population remember.
How to kill HL: step 1: give huyie temp v. 2: teleport himself and HL to deep deep ocean or far space or in active volcano. 3: huyie comes back instantly or sacrifice for all others while killing HL. Or request cindy to do it. Or huyie teleport inside HL body.
I’ve got an Idea for taking out homelander. Heavy weaponry. The squad to take him out is simple. 10 heavy machine gunners placed far away from each other with them 1800 meters away from homelander and 2000 meters away 10 snipers with 20mm armor piercing and high explosive anti material rifles all told to fire at his ears and eyes alongside the heavy machine gunners along side 7 other 80mm mortar positions for heavy weaponry to take out homelander. Next up we send the main attack squads. They’ll have about 50 members armed with M240s with 200 round magazines that will first fire a armor penetrating round then after that an explosive one as a way to continuously cause more damage to homelander. Finally we’ll add around 6 people with RPG-29s to try and take him out. This whole squad will probably be able to take out homelander or at least heavily injure him.
Honestly, why don’t they do to Homelander what they did to Soldier boy? Homelander would probably get knocked out by the Novichok agent too which means you could put him into cryostasis. The only problem is, you’d first need to figure out a way to restrain Homelander for a few seconds to administer it. It’d be slightly more difficult than doing it to Soldier boy but not impossible. Obviously you’d need a bunch of Temp V and a few perma supes
I think the finale will be Ryan and Butcher both using their heat vision against Homelander, and overpowering him, in a Goku/Gohan vs. Broly sort of way. Butcher will then drop dead from Compound V consumption, and Ryan will be left with two options: become the Superman, or become a Superman.
Homelander taunted Victoria about trying to pop his head, it definitely won't work on him, his insides are indestructible similar to if not better than Solider Boy, Homelander knows this, he's not scared of her.
Not sure how it’s gonna end but I guarantee that this point you can tell it’s not gonna be like the comic but I hope soldier Boy comes back into play next season

I'm thinking some combo of Butcher, Ryan, the Boys, Annie will take on Homelander, and they will all barely be on the verge of death, but HL is about to get up to finish everyone off. Butcher gets Annie, M.M., Kimiko and Ryan to go while the rest go for HL, Soldier Boy comes in and sets up his biggest explosion yet and takes down Vought tower and all of them with him. But I think they can do better than that hopefully, that's my half ass Marvel idea

I mean he supposedly can't be hurt by a nuke, but it's all vought BS, because slightly super-powered beings are able to draw blood to soldier boy and homelander in several ways and with random metal. He's not as indestructible as Vought led on. Also Victoria should be able to at least cause irreparable damage to homelanders brain even if she can't pop it.

Having HL depowered and to live a normal life is almost exactly the same as what they did to 'god' in Supernatural. It would be a total cop out. Having Ryan almost kill HL, and Butcher finish him is far too obvious. Also, too many people love Antony Starr's performance - and would want a trickier ending. A better ending would be, no matter how terribly HL behaves, he somehow dies a hero, much to the disgust of those who were bullied and threatened by him. Perhaps he dies saving Ryan/kill Ryan...
@@arl165 Ya, but story arc would make more sense to have Noir power up to match SB, and get revenge. That would be a good secondary story arc, and tie up the strands - and the time on the scenes in season three - nicely. It would probably make sense for Noir to then die of his injuries, or by being injured is easily taken out by HL. Somehow Butch and HL have to end up having the big fight. But...modern story telling...two middle aged white guys having those whole scenes? I think they'll probably have to extend the story. So, yes, we'll get a fight but it will have to have a twist. And in a nod to the comics, some of the 'boys' will have to die too, but I'm guessing in a more 'Magnificent Seven' scenario than Butcher slotting them.
Homelander has a super sense of smell.. he can smell something's wrong with that milk when mixed with that special V.. Ryan can even smell butcher's blood that contained with that special V... So nope.. that won't work...
I like that you brought up the Maive stabbing Homelander in the ear. That seems important, but I don't know that a single supe can do it. I predict a team-up to take down Homelander. Maybe Robo-Noir can stab him through the head and the Victoria can get that blood pumping out of his body fast enough. Although, if they can bring back Noir after what Homelander did to him then they will probably have to be-head or somehow atomize Homelander to make it final.
C4 enema like they did with Translucent, hard part would be holding him down. The toxin they used to keep Soldier Boy comatose might also work on Homelander.
I think the toxin used on Soldier Boy could be a good first start and it does seem like something can be done with radiation; The Supers all also seem to have very high metabolic demands (A Train eats 30k calories a day) so maybe they could starve him to death?

I've had this fantasy. A scenario in the show where the Boys recruit a supe that's the undefeated champion of an underground Supe fight league. Codenamed Beast. Power is Beastification. And when he changes he looks like Battle Beast from Invincible. Beast fights HL and it's straight up carnage. They're throwing each other around. Breaking bones, spewing blood and destroying everything around them. Beast is having the time of his life while HL is struggling to keep up. By the end of it HL kills Beast but HL dies bc of his wounds. The motive for Beast to fight HL is simple. He wants a glorious death at the hands of a worthy opponent. After winning over 400 fights straight he's gotten bored and just wants to die but can't bc there's no one strong enough to kill him.
There really are so many ways. This thing can't breathe in space. There is absolutely no way it can survive the core of the sun. A special reflective mirror that sends it's laser vision back at it, cover a room in nothing but those mirrors. Suffocate the bastard by draining all the oxygen out of a room and my favorite? Sonics. Lots.....and lots.....of Sonics.
Homelander will probably die but damn he is such a fascinating villan to watch. You can't match his screen presence, and with his death they should wrap up the show.

Get a hundred soldiers on temp v. A handful of supes got homelander bruised and sometimes bleeding. If you throw enough at him eventually it’ll wear him down. You just gotta make sure he doesn’t fly away and escape. Of course this plan will run you 200,000 million dollars but whatever.
I think Billy might have to turn to Compound V (insert Star Wars meme) and become the very thing he swore to destroy in order to stick around. Maybe he does this until Homelander is killed and then he ends it all
I always felt like Hughey could just telefrag him; Teleport directly into homelander. Best case scenario, Homelander is completely obliterated. Worst case scenario, they both die. Worster case scenario, they fuse and that gives them the free time to kill homelander. I see no world where homelander survives telefragging...or that 'infinite nightmare', though that's not an option anymore.
Soldier Boy can become the new Black Noir. If Ryan was older ot would be cool if they made him Black Noir so it's like Darth Vader, but instead of him being the father, he is the son.
Don't kill'im.......blind'im. Huey will start having “V-flashbacks”, teleporting spontaneously, and when Homelander is acting especially dickish and about to kill Annie, Huey will teleport over to him with both thumbs deep in Homeboy's eye sockets. Huey can do the “Out vile jelly” line from Lear, too. No more laser-eyes, but still bitter and dangerous, and Homelander stays on the show. Yay!

What about radiation? We know that Soldier Boy's beam is a radioactive laser that can "fry the V out of supes". Would that mean that the primary weakness for all supes be radiation poisoning? Could one perhaps make bullets and bombs loaded with radioactive waste?
Well technically that radiation could be a special type of radiation and not just regular old radiation. Or the radiation is a very specific type. Mainly because if every supe could be killed through simple radiation poisoning then it would stand to reason that Frenchie would figure that fact out fairly quickly or at least mention it in season 1. It would have also mean that frenchie and butcher would have stocked up on radioactive isotopes.
@@speeddemon5339 Weapon grade nuclear material is actually very hard to come by. It's pretty simple to build a nuclear bomb, but enriching the isotopes is the hard part. Which is why the US tries to undermine iraqi efforts to build nuclear power plants, which as part of their operations produce weapon grade plutonium.

I love the idea of Homelander losing his powers and being reduced to the status of being a "mud person". It seems fitting to the core of the story destroy the core of his identity rather than kill him outright.

I believe it has something to do with durability. She gave starlight a small taste with the nosebleed, and Tony noticed the nosebleed then realized she was trying to head pop him. Supe durability is inconsistent, so no telling what could happen

After this season I do think a group of supes with abilities that can harm or counter or withstrain Homelander and someone who can at least keep up with Homelander physically for a while could kill him.
He is very strong yeah but he can take damage from strong supes and is so narcissistic that he is clumsy and over confidant so he makes a lot of mistakes.
He already started killing people in public at the end of season 3. I think he could definitely make good on his Starlight threat.
I was shocked to see Homelander be able to overpower 3 people on him all with super powers at the time, including his own father. He must have an extra potent version in his genetics.

*I didn’t like* how Maeve took that piece of metal (or whatever it was) and jammed it into Homelander’s ear.. and it was enough to make him bleed.. for how powerful they said Homelander is - that came across as a little weird..
I don't think it's that far fetched, Homelander's ear is already established to be irritateable by that sonic noise, maybe it is a weakspot of his. And with the strength of Maeve, it was just enough to permanently damage his ear.
Maeve was always strong enough to go toe-to-toe with Homelander, but she's been too scared of him (plus she was unsure if he could actually be harmed) to actually do anything about it. Once she saw his bruise post-Herogasm, she realised he could actually be hurt, so she was confident enough to take him on. Remember she's almost the same level of strength as Homelander, and I imagine an eardrum would be a vulnerable spot on even as durable a being as Homelander.

I actually think that Grace having soldier boy, they'll be able to find a way to transfer his exploding ability to other supes or a special dose of compound V. They use the new item on Homelander and boom he's powerless. They won't kill him. They'll let him suffer by "bringing him to being inferior" like the rest of society. 👍🏽

Could've just used the mind-mover special technique to put Homelander in a nightmare loop of his worse fears. He's still a human and would eventually die from hunger and/or dehydration when in his comatose state. He has never been shown to be immune to psychic attacks and if psychic attacks can work on soldier boy then it could probably be effective against Homelander also.

Maybe vought can create a microbot that can continuously produce noise at 300-350 Decibels that can crawl into the human ear. They can use the opening they get from the mind mover or a supe with a similar technique to release one of these microbots in each ear of Homelander. The microbots must be durable of course and he wouldn't be able to reach them in the earholes. With his super hearing, the noise would be magnified to a level that would induce seizures and can even cause him to die from sensory overload. Possibly lol

Homelander doesn't know his exact birthday, but he does know he's about 40 years old. And he looks about 40 years old - a hot 40 years old, but 40 nevertheless. So we do know one thing that can kill him that couldn't kill Soldier Boy - old age. If you could manage to disorient Homelander long enough to get him on ice, his body would continue to age and eventually would start to physically break down in ways that Soldier Boy wouldn't.
That being said, I wouldn't be opposed to Cindy wandering into the frame, killing him like it was nothing, and then f-ing off again as anticlimax.

Honestly, this season showed that homelander would actually be easy to take down if everyone got on the same page. One of the superpowers he doesn’t have which is a HUGE one is that he apparently doesn’t have any kind of healing factor, it took him about a week to heal a bruise on his face (that’s like regular human level). If next season he’s deaf in his left ear then we’ll know for sure he can’t heal.
He obviously heals but probably at human rate. No healing factor.

Well V makes all supes more durable than normal humans. Hence why Hughie can fight with Homelander and not get one shot with temp V. As for suits… Edna?
Butcher definitely knew that he would at least get much higher durability and strength out of it, because practically every Supe has that on some level. In fact a huge majority of them are just plain bulletproof. When a guy's main thing is guns, you don't really need to worry much, especially since Butcher was already a prime physical specimen before the V, hence why on his third dose of it, he's already strong enough to at least contend with Homelander.

I think your wrong on most counts. Let me break it down.
1. Exploding head/blood: Victoria TRIED to explode that Tony's head when they first started fighting and he was able to resist her. She then started injuring him in other ways to break his focus and make him vulnerable. It took most of her power to win that fight. Even unfocused Homelander would never be subject to that kind of cellular explosion. A super strong Maeve shoving a pencil in his ear doesn't mean he's weak to that form of attack. It just shows how strong Maeve is. Victoria snuck a little nose bleed in on Annie, but if put to the test Annie could overcome her.
2. Somebody crawling up Homelander's D would find similar failure.
3. Eyebeams. Those beams didn't pierce Soldier Boy, Homelander or Butcher's skin. At their level it acted more like a force beam, knocking them down.
4. Trolling: Like Madelyn, the Trolls would eventually reach the Homelander's breaking point. He would kill with rage and start over with whoever's left.
When you get down to it, he’s essentially just a super strong/durable human with heat vision. So in that respect a lot of things that could kill a person would probably kill Homelander. Lack of oxygen, cyanide pill in his milk, piercing through a vulnerable Oregon, like an eyeball or eardrum would probably be effective (although a bit messy for my taste). Heck, if your mission isn’t to kill him, but just to defeat him, anesthetic gas would be a very effective strategy as the guy still needs to breathe (presumably).

What I have noticed is that billy had laser eyes right, and Huey had teleportation, which kinda looked like super speed at first, so I think they got the powers of the people they hate the most. Maybe this is some indication that the more things they do, the more they are gonna end up like their rivals

I’ve got an Idea for taking out homelander. Heavy weaponry.
The squad to take him out is simple. 10 heavy machine gunners placed far away from each other with them 1800 meters away from homelander and 2000 meters away 10 snipers with 20mm armor piercing and high explosive anti material rifles all told to fire at his ears and eyes alongside the heavy machine gunners along side 7 other 80mm mortar positions for heavy weaponry to take out homelander. Next up we send the main attack squads. They’ll have about 50 members armed with M240s with 200 round magazines that will first fire a armor penetrating round then after that an explosive one as a way to continuously cause more damage to homelander. Finally we’ll add around 6 people with RPG-29s to try and take him out. This whole squad will probably be able to take out homelander or at least heavily injure him.
Honestly, why don’t they do to Homelander what they did to Soldier boy? Homelander would probably get knocked out by the Novichok agent too which means you could put him into cryostasis. The only problem is, you’d first need to figure out a way to restrain Homelander for a few seconds to administer it. It’d be slightly more difficult than doing it to Soldier boy but not impossible. Obviously you’d need a bunch of Temp V and a few perma supes
I think the finale will be Ryan and Butcher both using their heat vision against Homelander, and overpowering him, in a Goku/Gohan vs. Broly sort of way. Butcher will then drop dead from Compound V consumption, and Ryan will be left with two options: become the Superman, or become a Superman.

I'm thinking some combo of Butcher, Ryan, the Boys, Annie will take on Homelander, and they will all barely be on the verge of death, but HL is about to get up to finish everyone off. Butcher gets Annie, M.M., Kimiko and Ryan to go while the rest go for HL, Soldier Boy comes in and sets up his biggest explosion yet and takes down Vought tower and all of them with him. But I think they can do better than that hopefully, that's my half ass Marvel idea

I think Homelander will beat Butcher, and Ryan will jump sides to protect Butcher even though Butcher's fate is sealed.
I mean he supposedly can't be hurt by a nuke, but it's all vought BS, because slightly super-powered beings are able to draw blood to soldier boy and homelander in several ways and with random metal. He's not as indestructible as Vought led on.
Also Victoria should be able to at least cause irreparable damage to homelanders brain even if she can't pop it.

Having HL depowered and to live a normal life is almost exactly the same as what they did to 'god' in Supernatural. It would be a total cop out. Having Ryan almost kill HL, and Butcher finish him is far too obvious. Also, too many people love Antony Starr's performance - and would want a trickier ending. A better ending would be, no matter how terribly HL behaves, he somehow dies a hero, much to the disgust of those who were bullied and threatened by him. Perhaps he dies saving Ryan/kill Ryan...
could be black noir 2.0, maybe this time he'll be given homelanders powers, but no one will know
@@arl165 Ya, but story arc would make more sense to have Noir power up to match SB, and get revenge. That would be a good secondary story arc, and tie up the strands - and the time on the scenes in season three - nicely. It would probably make sense for Noir to then die of his injuries, or by being injured is easily taken out by HL.
Somehow Butch and HL have to end up having the big fight. But...modern story telling...two middle aged white guys having those whole scenes? I think they'll probably have to extend the story. So, yes, we'll get a fight but it will have to have a twist. And in a nod to the comics, some of the 'boys' will have to die too, but I'm guessing in a more 'Magnificent Seven' scenario than Butcher slotting them.

I like that you brought up the Maive stabbing Homelander in the ear. That seems important, but I don't know that a single supe can do it. I predict a team-up to take down Homelander. Maybe Robo-Noir can stab him through the head and the Victoria can get that blood pumping out of his body fast enough. Although, if they can bring back Noir after what Homelander did to him then they will probably have to be-head or somehow atomize Homelander to make it final.

I think the toxin used on Soldier Boy could be a good first start and it does seem like something can be done with radiation; The Supers all also seem to have very high metabolic demands (A Train eats 30k calories a day) so maybe they could starve him to death?

I've had this fantasy. A scenario in the show where the Boys recruit a supe that's the undefeated champion of an underground Supe fight league. Codenamed Beast. Power is Beastification. And when he changes he looks like Battle Beast from Invincible.
Beast fights HL and it's straight up carnage. They're throwing each other around. Breaking bones, spewing blood and destroying everything around them. Beast is having the time of his life while HL is struggling to keep up.
By the end of it HL kills Beast but HL dies bc of his wounds.
The motive for Beast to fight HL is simple. He wants a glorious death at the hands of a worthy opponent. After winning over 400 fights straight he's gotten bored and just wants to die but can't bc there's no one strong enough to kill him.
This reminds me of Kaido from One Piece

There really are so many ways. This thing can't breathe in space. There is absolutely no way it can survive the core of the sun. A special reflective mirror that sends it's laser vision back at it, cover a room in nothing but those mirrors. Suffocate the bastard by draining all the oxygen out of a room and my favorite? Sonics. Lots.....and lots.....of Sonics.
Homelander will probably die but damn he is such a fascinating villan to watch. You can't match his screen presence, and with his death they should wrap up the show.

I don’ think Homelander’s head can be popped by a he blood power because starlight survived a popping attempt with just a nosebleed and she is not as tough as homelander.
Get a hundred soldiers on temp v. A handful of supes got homelander bruised and sometimes bleeding. If you throw enough at him eventually it’ll wear him down. You just gotta make sure he doesn’t fly away and escape. Of course this plan will run you 200,000 million dollars but whatever.

I think Billy might have to turn to Compound V (insert Star Wars meme) and become the very thing he swore to destroy in order to stick around. Maybe he does this until Homelander is killed and then he ends it all
I always felt like Hughey could just telefrag him; Teleport directly into homelander. Best case scenario, Homelander is completely obliterated. Worst case scenario, they both die. Worster case scenario, they fuse and that gives them the free time to kill homelander. I see no world where homelander survives telefragging...or that 'infinite nightmare', though that's not an option anymore.

Don't kill'im.......blind'im. Huey will start having “V-flashbacks”, teleporting spontaneously, and when Homelander is acting especially dickish and about to kill Annie, Huey will teleport over to him with both thumbs deep in Homeboy's eye sockets. Huey can do the “Out vile jelly” line from Lear, too. No more laser-eyes, but still bitter and dangerous, and Homelander stays on the show. Yay!
