I'm glad James Gunn got whatever he wanted for Guardians 3, I'm assuming this is Disney's way of telling him that they're sorry for wrongfully firing him in 2018 after he had already finished the script. I'm going to miss him so much over at DC, but I'm so happy with what he gave us in the Guardians trilogy. Wishing you all the best, James Gunn.

im hoping Superman Legacy tops Superman & Lois. i prefer a story that has more heart than dark material when it comes to writing and i think his script for Superman Legacy will do much better than Man of Steel. Bright Burn seemed like an experiment to see where the edgy fans are and it's something i dont want happening to superman. Injustice was just a moronic story for people who have yet to discover Kingdom Come

@@thomaslao9832 Even Kingdom Come i think has been kinda done to death since so many comic stories were inspired by, or just plain ripped off from Kingdom Come in the years since. It's still a brilliant story though. In terms of movies I'm just tired of watching a Superman that talks about hope endlessly but doesn't embody or even show that he himself has any hope of his own.
That's my biggest problem with Snyder's Superman. It's all surface-level in the script, and it's directed by someone seemingly incapable of understanding Superman because he doesn't fit Ayn Rand or Joseph Campbell's ideas of what story should be. And instead of saying "hmm, this doesn't fit my way of thinking, but he's been around for like 70+ years, so maybe i need to expand my definition of story structure" It's like he tried his absolute best to remove elements of the character that clashed with his world view. Killing off fan-favorite characters because he thought it was "funny". And actively limiting every other story any filmmaker wants to tell within that universe, to the point where anything that doesn't look like Snyder's films, is immediately hated by his fans because "Whedon", even if he had nothing to do with the production.
I still can't get over some of the people moaning that the first Shazam was lighthearted and comedic because they wanted gritty edgy shit in a movie about a child that turns into an adult superhero when he says a magic word... Snyder also showed at every stage that he's embarrassed to be making a superman movie. I think he's a really talented filmmaker, (But remember when he said in an interview that he couldn't take any of the characters seriously when they had conversations while wearing their supersuits... Man, he was so wrong for Superman. Comic books are an absolutely insane and wacky form of story telling, even when they tell gritty stories. Filmmakers shouldn't be embarrassed by that, they should embrace the weirdness. Like S&L season 2 showing that Bizarro's earth is cube shaped. Or Gunn putting Starro the Conqueror in TSS. If you are embarrassed by it, and refuse to use the weirdness, you are effectively removing a major part of what makes the comics so damn fun. And you have lost before cameras even start rolling.
Superman and Lois isn't perfect, but it's still easily the best Superman has been outside of comics in a very long time. Too bad so many people disliked him in Supergirl and refuse to give the show a try. Sucks for them. Because it's brilliant (though season 2 has a few missteps. Still it's a lot better if you watch it all at once. It was kinda destroyed by all those damn breaks in the middle of the season.)
I will say this though regarding Snyder, if they were to announce that they are doing a new movie of The Mask, based on the original ultra-violent but bizarrely creative comic book series, Zack Snyder would be my absolute number one first pick for director. That's a character i think would really benefit from his style.

    Awesome movie, no question !
5:19 but this makes literally no sense,
GotG2 is set inside the mcu in 2014,
    Then we have the blip,
    The 5 years that follow,
The time with Thor until T4,
The holiday special is set in December 2025 inside the mcu,
GotG3 is set sometime after, so 2026 inside mcu.
    =
12 (!) years that Adam been stuck in the cocoon until gotg3.
Brain and Body grow together, doh he’s taken out „a little too early“ his body is grown as well as his powers, which he knows to use immediately but not his mind ? 😂
Then he is able to directly find Rocket and use his powers, but his mind is underdeveloped?
And the HIGH evolutionary and the PERFECT sovereign CANT come up with something to upgrade him ?
(Or control him at least, like the hundreds of space ships piloted per vr in gotg2 ?)
Like I said, with all love, that’s lazy writing, he made Adam Warlock an op baby that had more years inside the cocoon than any human baby would need inside a human womb, pretty high evo 😂
and that from a race like the sovereign (that evolved from giving birth to pods because its more efficient and faster) and that can control via vr,
Or that could have just sat down with HE and figure out an upgrade lol

    • @dybiosol
      @dybiosol Год назад

Well those questions have been either inferred or answered in movies already.
      - Brain and body don't grow together. We saw in the movie High Evolutionary was able to evolve the body much faster than the brain. Brain takes a while to mature and fully develop connections. Also, the queen mother obviously taught Adam his powers that was pretty obvious from the conversation between HE and the Queen.
      - High Evolutionary was ever so slowly descending into madness in pursuit of creative intelligence since Rocket escaped. This led to his impatience with pulling Adam out of cocoon too early to find Rocket instead of letting him develop fully. This was made clear by the Sovereign queen mother.
      - It was also made clear that beyond a certain point of growth, once the organism is out of the "cocoon of development" there's no way to reprogram them. Thats why he used incinerate "failed" experiments rather than trying to find a solution. In Adam's case, because of time, neither "upgrade" nor making another were viable options.

    • @_TheViewer_
      @_TheViewer_ Год назад +1

@@dybiosol lol dude, nice try 😂
      - HIGH evolutionary and the PERFECT sovereign grew Adam in a cocoon (in gotg2 it’s mentioned the sovereign evolved (lol when being made) from giving to birth to using pods) because it’s faster and more efficient than human breeding would
I had yesterday my third time in cinema, she does not say one thing than they have taken him out too early, funny after 12 years inside that thing (GotG2 is 2014 inside mcu, GotG3 is 2026)
      - again, this Is like the first part you mentioned, just worded differently (lol), makes no sense at all since HE wanted Rocket back cause he missed the mind of Rocket for his experiments, all the time until the events of gotg3 he was creating and doing stuff, seen with Phyla that is in this young age already able to think more mature than Adam, plus using her powers as well.
(Script-wise it just doesn’t make sense after 12 years inside a fast and efficient cocoon)
      - incarceration because of failure for A WHOLE PLANET doesn’t mean he can’t find a solution with his „perfect“ sovereign for ONE BEING (especially since sovereign used the VR like approach before, gotg2)
Plus lol, it’s been so much time since rockets escape, if needed he could’ve waited since they’ve must noticed that Adam isn’t fully evolved when they released him (what they nit even show in the movie, Adam just pops through the window at Rocket in gotg3)

So many times. Granted, I love Zack Snyder as a director, but some of the toxic trolls threatening to fire James Gunn make me feel ashamed to be a fan. I love what Gunn accomplished with The Suicide Squad, Peacemaker and of course, the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy; and I can't wait to see what he does with Superman!

@@ahmadmohammed4212 did you watch that movie? did you like it? "Liar" is a strong word for an opinion, and "liberal" not sure what that means- as if being liberal is a slur. BTW both Grace and James are huge advocates for the gay community. Grace was 100% accurate about Henry Cavil not returning as Superman- when the majority had it wrong .
