She basically credited Gunn with giving her a single line of direction which was I forgot exactly but it was like mixing someone with Clint Eastwood and then the voice of Nebula just came to her mind immediately and from the voice everything just came, the way she walked and carried herself. Do you remember how people lost their minds over the fact that Nebula had so many more minutes of on screen time than Gamora did in Infinity War and Endgame? The REAL issue was how much more on screen time EVERY female got over the terrible Brie Larson. From a fan standpoint tgat was the WISEST decision of the whole 30 year franchise. I think the fact that the characters WEREN’T well-known is why they were able to be so well-developed (for an action movie) in the first film, which was quite a reinvention. All the characters grew personally, allowing the audience to engage in a way that many writers neglect.
Even though you may find character traits annoying (Drax’s lack of awareness, Rocket’s critical cynicism, Groot’s dumb ambiguity, Quill’s opportunistic narcissism, Gamora’s angry obsession) their interactions showed that these are only surface parts on top of deeper dynamics that most people can relate to in their own friendships. Even in this small way, we were made to care a little bit that they all cared for each other.
Anything less and the first movie may have been a bomb.

It was so nice Chris mentioning you. I was 11 and probably watched it at 13 now i'm 20 since 40 days. Because the 13-19 is over. And i'm vitnessing for the first time that the kids who were childeren all my life now have big bodies just like mine. It challenges one to deal with. There is a little stress. Kinda thaughts you more about the grown up people of your teenage years. A kid turning into adult in 3 years is so much change, not on becoming something maybe but has a weight to it. And these movies gave me things i wouldn't have known other wise. Meaning the places, the events, the character relationships, character histories. Quill and his mom; i spent a lot of time in my life thinking about those, adding that music to my own tiny important head space as a WORLD'S HISTORICLY IMPORTANT phenomenon. And that's what you believe right, because quill believes it's important and you like that a lot when you first see the movie. It's so weird that they become YOUR history; the Knowhere, Steve and Tony, the ice, a guy who can easily make things, the anger, the spies, the hammer... such support that we got to share this, and connected(just remember the infinity war wait).
Plus as we watched endgame back in 2019 i would not imagine what is going on now with Gamora and Peter. They made her soo differently.

It was as good as the first avengers and still is one my favourite movies, simply because its an underdog story. Today I am in a medical college in my 20s, and I had same emotions watching vol 3 in theatre as i had back in my school days. I didn’t like the 2nd one that much, but this vol3 was everything I wanted. So Chris saying the kid who might have loved the first back in the day will love this, is absolutely fantastic. If the rumors are true, I'm going to bawl my eyes out when Rocket dies... He reminds me of a husky that I had. His name was Havok and he was just a spitfire. Very vocal and energetic and just so so loving. He died in my arms one night. He had started to get seizures out of nowhere. I had him examined and they couldn't figure out why. One night he came into my room about 2am and woke me up because he was whining. He never whined about anything. Always so happy. I sat up and said what's wrong buddy? He instantly went into a seizure and I leapt out of bed to hold him and calm him down and the seizure started to subside and he slowly went limp... One of the biggest heartbreaks of my life. I don't know why I'm posting this on RUclips but... I'm just very attached to Rocket because of Havok and their similarities.
