Physics on Khan Academy: Physics is the study of the basic principles that govern the physical world around us. We'll start by looking at motion itself. Then, we'll learn about forces, momentum, energy, and other concepts in lots of different physical situations. To get the most out of physics, you'll need a solid understanding of algebra and a basic understanding of trigonometry.
About Khan Academy: Khan Academy offers practice exercises, instructional videos, and a personalized learning dashboard that empower learners to study at their own pace in and outside of the classroom. We tackle math, science, computer programming, history, art history, economics, and more. Our math missions guide learners from kindergarten to calculus using state-of-the-art, adaptive technology that identifies strengths and learning gaps. We've also partnered with institutions like NASA, The Museum of Modern Art, The California Academy of Sciences, and MIT to offer specialized content.

How come this guy knows so much about everything?
The dark side of the force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be....
Oh wait... Wrong galaxy!
Is it possible to learn this power?
Nice one!@@bullpuppy7455
NOTICE ME 10pi !!!
Tenpi = senpai
Sir
If angular velocity is
angular displacement / time
And displacement cannot be more than 2pi why in questions angular velocity is more than 2pi rad/ sec?
2 pi 2 pi 2 pi 2 pi lol
I'm sure you've done stuff on angular velocity before, but in anycase I love your vids so keep it up khanman!
Einstein’s relativity mathematically allows this to happen, which is some madness to explain away the MM experiment and the luminiferous ether.
The daylight side of the globe is traveling 67,000 + 1,000mph and the opposite night time side is traveling 67,000 - 1,000mph around the sun. So a difference of 2/67 = 3% angular speed. (Angular velocity is a pseudo vector 😎).
YEA!! i've reached the HD videos!!!
When Salman Khan is a better teacher yours
Tyler Stoner always
Salmon*
sir we can also find the relationship between the linear velocity and angular velocity and then find the value or formula v=r*omega
Class 9
Yes.. that's correct
Sar Farhan on is a best teacher
Physics
Who else thinks he has an amazing handwriting?
Nahh
This was a really good explanation and helped a lot
This video should be under college Trig also. Helps allot
Thank you Mr. Khan
Two gears A and B of radius R1 and R2 touch eachother. A starts rotating with angular velocity w,with whah angular velocity will B rotate
i m looking for the same
i have a maybe off topic question, how to measure the probability of a drone hitting the blade flying through a rotating windmill, does it depends on the distance of the drone from the centre of the windmill, my friends and i are debating this over time and no resolution yet. i wonder if the angular velocity and/or speed factor of the windmill is/are a consideration
no i think probability= area the windmill covers divided by the area of the circle described by the windmill
Imo, it depends on the question. Do you want the probability of the drone hitting the blade, or the probability of the drone coming in contact with the blades (ie, the drone hitting the blades and the blades hitting the drone). If you only want the probability of the drone hitting the blade, you only need to calculate the areas of the blades. If you want to calculate the probability of the drone coming in contact with the blades, you have to consider the angular velocity of the blades and the speed of the drone, because the blades might turn and smack into the drone before it could leave the spinning radius of the blades. For example, if the blades could turn a full circle before the drone can fly the length of itself, there will be a 100% probability of the blades hitting the drone.
Marvelous.keep it up
10 year old gem ❤️
nowwww i understand ..........
What software does he use for the writing?
Mr. Kahn is a modern day Einstein
i sleep to this! education osmosis!
thx alot
thank you so much :)
ya gr8
Doesn't this assume that the speed around the circle is constant and acceleration (angular and linear) is zero??
Yes, he didn't talk about acceleration...
In case of acceleration, angular velocity won't be constant.
But since he talked about derivatives, he wanted to point out that this process of finding the angular momentum and speed can be done for instantaneous moments also, but that would require differentiation I guess. dθ/dt.
And the derivative of angular velocity will be angular acceleration. dω/dt.
Uhh what about if your given a radius?
you are not the only one whaha me too
damn these comments are old
i swear!
now u guyz are on of'em.
This comment was a year ago and it talkin bout comments being old😂
Says the guy with a 1 year old comment
shut up boomer
so two objects with different distance from the axis of rotation have the same angular speed?
Yes but not the same linear speed
no because the radii would be different
i want thig vidio in hindi
is a period the same thing as a revolution?
English subtitles incorrectly spelling "scalar" as "scaler". I tried to edit, but it is locked.
What about mass?
2 pi , try saying that ten times fast.
How angular veclocity = omega * radians sec
+Rahul Kirar I think that's part of the conversion factor if you want to write your angular velocity as rev/sec if you have it as rad/sec.
+Clash_ Omaniac thank u ..u plz teach or suggest every body like this
does anybody know what he is writing on? I've been looking for something like this to buy for home
For home, he is using a computer. Don't u notice that.
@@jewelbency5072 lol... Man, he is asking about the writing pad... The educator is not using a mouse, like you are expecting.
Wacom tablet
What is the angular rate? cant find an explanation for it anywhere.
rate at which the angle changes in the motion
A body travels an angular displacement θ= 10t + 50 t²... Sir what does it mean? can any one help
it means that your angular displacement is a function of time, so if you replace a t value you will find the angular displacement. For example if you replace t=1 then 10(1)+50(1)^2 you get 60 rad. For t=2 you get 10(2)+50(2)^2 you get 220 rad. So keep in mind that the function that is given θ= 10t + 50 t² is just to show you that the displacement is a function of the time. Hope that makes sense!
Sound on this video isn't working for me.
lmao it was made 5 years ago what do you expect
It works now. Not sure what was wrong.
The explanation in this video isn't as good as it was in the previous video :((
Why not good can you tell us what you know about that
Hlw
is that someone else? bc I think the voice is different an he makes some symbols kinda different. i dont like this video much. previous videos were better. sorry
yar cos thats salman khan the founder of khan academy
