    You have an angular velocity omega w, and a distance measured in angular value 2pi rad
    s = angle* radius = 2 pi ---> T = s/v = 2pi/w

    The way you put frequency f is ambiguous or unclear
    It should be put in such an unambiguous way as :
    " frequency of repeating the same complete cycle of a motion"
    to avoid ambiguity bewtwen frequency and angular frequency

    Why is the direction of velocity in uniform circular motion is tangential to its path

      Because of its tendency to follow a straight line path and the only straight line that exists along any point on the circumference of a circle is its tangent at that point. Forces are balanced along this tangential path on the circle and thus, the object travels along this circular motion at constant velocity and not towards the center
